      You can get pretty darn close swapping a 4.6L DOHC mod motor into a Crown Vic PI.
      Just will be missing the Mercury name.

    Amazing build. I had a 2004 Marauder and loved it. The weakest link was the transmission/rear end gearing. A 6 speed manual makes it perfection.

    I manual swapped my Marquis too! It's a 2010. Got a tall freaking Hurst shifter on it.

      @@joshdiamond1624 a bit late but in my opinion the best transmission to use is the TR-3650, it will pretty much bolt right up and will work with a p71 aluminum driveshaft

    Absolutely love the manual swap, esp since the outdated auto it came with was just 4 speeds, must feel so slushy with all that power.

      If you're still wondering, it's probably the easiest manual swap for a car that isn't designed with a manual option. Benefits of a Mustang powertrain.

    • @user-xg8yy7yl1d
      @user-xg8yy7yl1d 4 года назад +7

      The panther platform is one of the easiest manual swaps for any car that wasnt made with a manual. The 4.6 is the same anywhere so you can get a manual trans designed for a mustang bolt it on and all thats left is you have to fabricate a pedal setup for the clutch and also mess with the PCM to let it work with the manual

      Ironically its the other way around. The panther cars had the 4.6 first

    • @ProjectMercuryMarauder
      @ProjectMercuryMarauder 4 года назад +2

      csbartonorgan83 Not the lightning 5.4 that won’t fit since they specially made a intake manifold as it is for the 4.6l 4v why not make an intake manifold that will fit on a 5.4 L DOHC engine instead exact same spec as the marauders 4.6 but in a 5.4 L DOHC displacement in Australian Ford falcons make 354hp! And a Big flat torque curve that starts 1000 RPM sooner than what the puny 4.6 has!
