- Still recovering from last episode :/ This episode was great though, the scene at the end with Odin visiting all of Ragnar's sons was so powerful and really well done. Another one of my favorite scenes from the whole show probably. Let me know what you guys thought down below! I have final exams all day tomorrow so I won't be able to upload Episode 17 until Thursday. I'm so sorry :(

With Odin bringing the message personally shows the importance Ragnar had to the Viking culture. Hail KING RAGNAR :)

I wanna say thank you for being one of the few reactors to immediately catch on that it was Odin. almost every other one is either "Who's this guy?" or "Is that the god of death?" and it drives me crazy. Awesome reaction and i look forward to seeing the rest.

Are you recovered? That episode is hard to watch. I have seen it 20 times and alway cry. I hope you feel a little better now 😊. I miss Ragnar. Travis was so amazing in this show. Screw the Emmy’s. We all know how great he was. Linus Roache too. He is great as Ecbert. Keep up the good work Carly.

I think Floki didn’t want the girl to come because he didn’t want to drag her away from her home land and religion
Ravens, in Norse mythology, are the eyes and the messengers of the Gods. Odin was said to have two ravens, Hughin and Munin, that acted as his eyes. So when the crows and ravens appear on the battlefields, the Vikings believed the gods were watching.
Ragnar’s plan was to pass on the torch to Ivar who will continue the game his father started playing with Ecbert. Ivar’s not a psychopath, but there’s so much pain inside of him at times, that he turns into anger. Ragnar could be very violent too if he wanted to, people just forget about that. Odin’s way of delivering the news of Ragnar’s passing confirms what was already hinted at when Harbard came to take part of Ivar’s pain away - that he’s the chosen one, blessed by the Gods. Odin appears to all of Ragnar’s sons, but he only touches the two that have been physically marked out, and the only son he speaks to is Ivar.
I can assure you, the series even after the death of ragnar is still f......amazing. You asked yourself last episode "how will the series keep going without ragnar" well...keep watching girl.....

Great reaction! Odin visiting Ragnars sons was amazing. The hairs on my arms stood up when i watched it and it still does. Even when its just watching it with you. Ragnar visiting Lagertha defenitly was beautifully done as well. Again great reaction and cant wait for more to come
Odin also appeared in the first season when his sister(Gyda) died. He was a crow at the time.
Ragnars death is probably one of my favorite ones on tv (not for the torture part) but because it felt like a natural end for his character. This was a perfect example of doing a main character death where you feel the person has "completed" their story and there are still progression to be had from that point on in other story lines :)
Imagine how long it took Ivar to crawl his ass up that mountain for a dramatic view of him screaming in pain....just to crawn his ass back down..#hardlife

Ive recently became a fan of the show and got so invested in ragnar, his character is brilliant written and acted. For me Ivar saves the entire series. I was destroyed when Ragnar died. But actually I love the show even more now. Season 5 is the best season so far😃

In Ragnar's Saga his sons played an integral part...Perhaps even of greater importance than him
After Ragnar's death, I started doing some very extensive research on the real person (I read his wiki entry), and apparently Lothbrok was just a nickname meaning "shaggy breeches". So when Lagertha called Ivar "Ivar Lothbrok", she was really just putting him on blast for having shaggy pants, which was unnecessary. But if that was the way last names worked, that would've sucked for me, since my father's nickname was just his name with the word "fat" in front of it.
Driftwood King Ivar’s name would be Ivar Ragnarson.
@@CharlesZane_ yeah I never really liked that line from Lagertha. Ivar Lothbrok is/was not his name. And, if I'm not mistaken, wasn't a Norseman's second name more of a Nickname rather than a last name? I.e. Bjorn Ironside.

I hated this last scene of the episode. Ragnar's speech again was unnecessary. killed the badassery of the scene. I also started hating Bjorn from this episode forward. :/

I actually reacted to it right after I finished Episode 15, but my computer crashed and everything got deleted. I was able to find and save my actual episode reactions but The Choice reaction footage got lost somewhere. I'm trying to find and recover it :( I'm so sorry
