6k Resolution 3 Screens My Ultimate Racing Simulator Tour Part 1 - Custom Aluminum Profile 8020 Rig!
The video content is about 2 months old and I wanted to document my rig before I made major changes to it. So there is going to be a update part 2 very soon. Also note that I mention Simucube compatibility at times in the video, those references are for a upgrade to a Simucube 2 Pro Wheelbase. The best Wheelbase, there isn’t a debate. We can talk about that later 😊
My Rig is custom. I started with the Moza R5 Direct Drive Sim Racing Bundle
it is petals, wheelbase and a wheel. I tried a compact and foldable PlaySeat for a week just to see if I would really like sim racing, that thing wasn’t great but it did the job. But I needed something better so I went to Microcenter and got the TK Racing Pro Rig -Tony Kanaan Edition a TK Racing Triple Monitor Stand - Tony Kanaan. The monitor stand had some issues so ordered a better one and used this one for parts.
I wasn’t happy with the rig and all my equipment, there was a lot of issues and I didn’t have much money. So, I decided to make a custom rig, I was really getting sick of how low to the ground the rig was so I raised it up with the spare parts I had. I started making everything custom from then on. Custom petal mounting, floor, immersion hood, triple monitor, wheel base mount and more. I got a little carried away, but it did save money and I learned a lot. My friends would say that I only wanted to work on the sim and not actually use it as the tool I wanted it for to get better at racing. But I just wasn’t happy with it and I was always trying to make it better. I had to get a proper seating position. Countless hours rebuilding and tuning. But I eventually started to get it dialed in and I started to get better.
The whole time I pretty much just stuck to the Moza Razing ecosystem.
    My Gear:
Wheelbase: for the 1st year was Moza R5 and went from that to the best Simucube2 Pro! 25 Nm of torque. Used a SimCore Simucube 2 Hub /extension / 70 PCD Adapter to get the distance I wanted from the base. TK Front Mount came with the rig, but wasn’t compatible with the R5.
Rally Wheel: Moza Racing RS V2 Wheel $556 Apevie Simulator (not compatible with Simucube) but none of the electronics work because it doesn’t have ethernet. So, I use a Sim Lab Push Pull Rally Shifter. Look it up super cool. Cube Controls upgrade in the future.
F1 Wheel: Moza FSR Wheel with Moza Hub for compatibility with Simucube2 pro wheelbase via ethernet. Cube Controls upgrade in the future with 3 pairs of pedals on the back of the wheel (clutches, shifters, and hybrid power controls)
Pedals: Moza CRP Load Cell Pedals with Sim Lab Pedal Slider Base Plate; Universal, Seat slider and Heel Plate.
Shifter: SiMagic Shifter DS-8X It has 8 gears and you can switch it to sequential mode.
    Handbrake: Moza HGP handbrake.
Tripple Monitor Mounting: SimLab Integrated Vario™ monitor mount with VARIO™ Vesa Adapter kit. Really cool system with extreme adjustability.
Monitors: Acer Predator 27" 2560x1440 2K IPS 270Hz Refresh rate 0.5ms response time AMD FreeSync HDR400 ... Amazingly fast monitors! This was the absolute smallest size I could get to have a good field of view and still be high end gaming monitors. I did try a Alienware ultrawide 38 inch, not enough FOV I kept it, but it’s my desk monitor now. You see it in the background from the front facing camera if I am using OBS for the current video recording. Wow off track here. These Acer Predator 27’s were the best monitors for the size and I got them on sale for like $1600 instead of $2100 for all 3. The Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU is putting out 6k graphics with a AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12 Core CPU. I built it custom open loop liquid cooling for the GPU and CPU but the recent GPU upgrade is air cooled and that deleted half of the liquid cooling loop.
Seat: 6 Sigma Sim Racing RS Adjustable Seat.

Almost spin out at 40 seconds. It doesn't even look real. Then see what normally happens when you try to catch a spin at the end of the video. This was also a test to see how much editing I can do in youtube with out a app. Forced a beat match crossfade. Did it work?
