Honestly, The Lost Apothecary and People We Meet on Vacation were both books that were either my worst book of the year, or bottom 3 in the year I read them. 😂So you were very wise to DNF them both.

This vlog was great! Loved to see you were fur baby sitting for Becca. They are adorable. I've actually been to York twice. Loved it. They had the cutest vegetarian eatery that looked fairy inspired. I have been wanting to read Fourth Wing but have been hesitant but now I'm sold! And I adore the paint by numbers you chose and would hang those up too! Too bad about The Lost Apothecary; I just bought it 2 days ago. I'll still give it a try though. Thanks again for the vlog.
I’m glad you liked it! I’ll defo need to find this fairy food place if I happen to be in York for longer 👀 and still definitely worth giving Lost Apothecary a go, it seems very hit or miss so hopefully a hit for you!

I love "diamond painting" while listening to audiobooks but I haven't done a painting one yet. We just moved too, I'm hoping to find a herb/veggie one for our kitchen/dining area!
this chill and cosy vlog is just what i needed today 💜i recently started reading Fourth Wing and honestly i feel exactly the same as you've described 😂 it took me a while to get into it but now i'm really invested and it's hard to put it down haha i think i'm probably gonna give it 4-4.5 stars as well!
I actually liked the romance in Serpent and Wings of Night. I didn’t go into it though thinking it was romantasy - I thought it would be (and to me was) a fantasy with romance sub-plot. Only reason I didn’t like the book was how it ended.

Fourth Wing sounds (to me) like one of those fast food books. It's not good, but for some reason I love it and eat/read it all 😅😂
I was so disappointed by The Lost Apothecary, and You and Me on Vacation too! I just couldn't get into them. I did enjoy Book Lovers by Emily Henry though, so I might give another of her books a go. :)
Also, York has hardish water! I live 35 minutes out from York and my water is even harder so I understand your pain 😭

I enjoyed the atmosphere in The Lost Apothecary but read it in fall and at the best time for me to read it. Not my best read though.
I ordered Fourth Wing and cannot not wait for it to arrive !! I’m so in the mood for fantasy right now and everyone seemed to LOVE this one.

I had mixed feelings about "The Lost Apothecary." I liked the historical part, but I didn't care at all about the modern story.
Apple cider vinegar is amazing for hair. It strips away any impurities, and you wouldn't think it would do this -- but it makes your hair extremely soft! Naturally
(use it as a hair rinse in the shower, then wash your hair with water or shampoo)

I wasn’t wild about lost apothecary either. Found it okay. But same author’s newer bk London Seance Society is much better. I didn’t think I’d like it because of Lost Apothecary. I was so wrong.
Oh finally! Your the first person I’ve heard DNF Lost Apothecary. I made it about 1/3 of the way in, maybe half, before DNFing it. So boring.
