    I have a few questions!
    First line of questions:
    How broad the category of “sin” in practice and in daily life? -can you give me an idea of how broad a range of actions I could take that Jesus would consider to be sins? I would appreciate examples.
    Second line of questions:
    What do you believe the extent of the punishment for sin is and why do you believe that what you believe is /actually/ what the proper interpretation of the Bible conveys to awaits the sinner who fails to accept Jesus’s offer of salvation? I know some people who call themselves Christian and believe in Jesus also tell me that atheists and members of religions that aren’t Christianity are not going to a literal fiery hell but will simply fade from existence into nothingness. I don’t know how to tell what the nature of the punishment is according to the proper interpretation of the Bible. I’d appreciate some help on understanding that guys. :)
    Final line of questions:
    If I look at a woman with lust or tell my mom her dress looks good when it only looks okay to me, do you personally feel like I should be severely punished for that? For doing those specific things? Do you think I deserve prolonged torment for not being aware that Jesus is Lord and his words are necessarily true?
    The example of someone who deserves punishment in this video was a thief who we agree we should implement a deterrent on, but I don’t agree that if someone does something like be slightly dishonest to save someone from minor hurt, in a way that doesn’t affect them too much, or if someone feels a perfectly understandable sexual attraction to what they find beautiful, that we should implement any top-down deterrent.
    I’m not claiming you necessarily think that such a thought warrants the label “sin”, or that you guys necessarily believe that eternal torment is an accurate representation of your views of hell, but I’ve heard some Christians say such things. I wasn’t sure if you agreed or disagreed with those Christians.
    Thanks guys. 👍🏻

      And why can Satan REACH this world at all?

    • @AnastasiaFrancescaViljoen
      @AnastasiaFrancescaViljoen 2 месяца назад

      @@chrissonofpear1384 according to the bible satan was banished from heaven to earth (Revelation 12:12) Jesus calls him the ruler of this world in John 14:30 satan got power over the earth by the fall of man in Genesis but is ultimately defeated as we can see in John 12:31 Jesus says, “Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out” satan was dealt a fatal blow at the cross because satan’s power is that he’s a great accuser. But all our sins are forgiven so what can he condemn?

    • @chrissonofpear1384
      @chrissonofpear1384 2 месяца назад

      @@AnastasiaFrancescaViljoen Err, whatever. Two people is not 'man'. Two people will never be 'Man'.
      That is legally, highly questionable. Two people not even trusted to know good from bad... or stakes to others.
      Or that heaven had itself failed, to be harmonious, fully perfect, or unified, it seems.
      Also, he quickly gets to keep more powers, roam wider, and see most of us, drowned.
      That is not quickly defeated.
      Also, what is a 'prince of this world', and why does he retain, ANY high, or legal, status?
      Was Adam 'prince of this world'? Then he should have known what that, involved.
      Or that it was 'transferable' (although in this case, to an irrational, delusional angel... in who iniquity was 'found'... but who's opinions should not really, matter, anyway)
      Not even to YHWH.
      Finally, we are the ones accused of knowing how many gods or princes of this world, exist.
      But not, as I recall - by Satan?

    So how can evil sin exist in the first place

  • @babyblue6743
    @babyblue6743 2 года назад +1

    How can devout people seriously flout Gods laws, I mean nobody’s perfect, we all overindulge a bit with food, sometimes become a bit too down to earth (before we pull ourselves back again -sometimes this is difficult because we live in a material world, governed by physical laws). But I mean partaking in really sinful things, for example pornography, severe alcoholism, gambling and an obsession with money. This would surely mean that they weren’t Christian in the first place, just using church as a cover, or a social meeting place. Me and my friends met a paedophile that went to our church, this was before he was found out, and then all contact was broken. He didn’t think or live like a Christian though, I could see cracks on his Verneer. Not everyone who says they’re Christians are, but true Christians wouldn’t behave in really bad ways would they?

      Well, the Corinthian church had a guy fornicating with his step mother.
      He didn't repent, so paul said to deliver him to Satan for the destruction of the flesh.
      Was this man a Christian?
      I think he was.
      In Janmes he said that these Christians were judges with evil thoughts.
      Yes, a christian >can< sin in many ways, but John said that no one who is in Him can >continue< to sin.
      They will either repent at some point, or else God will take him.

    Galatians 3:1-29. The death of Jesus Christ made everyone "children of God by faith" ( in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ), heirs, and joint heirs with Him. Romans 8:16-17; John 1:12-14.
    The Jews already rejected Jesus Christ as both Messiah and King. He eventually went to the cross for this reason, and His sacrificial death, burial, and resurrection became available to all- Jews and Gentiles alike.
    John 12:32; Ephesians 2:1-22.
    Luke 4:24; John 7:5; Matthew 14:57; 1 Corinthians 1:23; Matthew 27:25; John 19:15.
    Romans chapter 1- God's indictment of the gentiles
    Romans chapter 2- God's indictment of the Jews
    Romans chapter 3- All Jews and Gentiles concluded in sin and condemned.
    Study to make yourself approved unto GOD only...
    God will return to Israel after the Church is taken up, and Israel completes her 70th year of captivity. Remember that God was dealing with them by the prophets- Jeremiah- when Israel went back to Egypt as threatened- Numbers 14; Jeremiah chapters 41-43; and Ezekiel was taken up in the Spirit to them Ezekiel 3:11; 11:24, and Daniel finally prayed for God to remember to get them back to the promised land at the 69th week year of their captivity. But they were not yet ready to be obedient to God, thus He sent Jesus Christ to seek and save them as prophesied in Ezekiel 34, Jeremiah 23 etc, and God will pardon their iniquities personally Micah 7:19; Jeremiah 31:33-34 etc.
    If anyone is not saved by grace through faith in the sacrificial death, burial, and resurrection in this dispensation, they will be left behind to personally atone and die for their sins. Then the complete Body of Jesus Christ will return to rescue the remnant Jews Zechariah 14; Matthew 24:31, and the rest will be destroyed with the world as rewards and punishments are meted out Revelation 19-20, and a new heavens and a new earth will be created Revelation 21-22.
