  • A legionnaire with a callsign 'Khan' is an American veteran of Afghanistan campaign who came to fight alongside Ukrainians in the summer of 2023. We caught up with him for an interview both when he just arrived and half a year later. In this timeframe he joined the 'Chosen' company - a recons unit of the 59th motorized brigade, with whom he took part in mind blowing assault operations with close encounters and storming of the enemy positions. 'Khan' is universally respected by his fellow servicemen for his valor, bravery, consideration and his temper. Wounded in action on several occasions, he is as real as it gets. In this interview we will focus mostly on his personal motivation and some wisdom he might share with those looking to join. Hopefully, we will release some of the detailed combat reviews later on.

      You are falling for lies. Dont waste your life for a lie.
      Learn the language and understand that the execution of civilians isnt true. And the people of the Donbass just dont want to be part of the Ukraine anymore. Please dig a bit into the subject. A friend of mine actually lives in Luhansk and an aquintance of me lives in Mariupol. They tell a totally different story. So before wasting your life. Know what's actually going on.

    Your final point that you made hit the nail on the head. Ukraine does not have modern military vehicle production yet, nor has the capacity to do so, same as the ammunition they are using. They need the support now to provide a safer Europe for everyone. If Russia is not stopped who knows where and when this conflict will end. Politicians should stop dithering and points scoring off each other, it's costing Ukraine in lives, vehicles and land. Put the Ukrainian people first and help the end this war they didn't want

    I know America is a very divided nation at the moment and it's sad to see it's being fought over on the back of Ukrainians. But I can't thank America and Americans like Khan enough for everything they do for people around the world. I don't care if you vote blue or red, i hope you vote for Ukraine down the line as well. Thanks for everything

      If you ever visit Ukraine our influence is minor you don’t know they’re politics they don’t know ours they are more close to Europe politics no one speaks English it’s Russian and Ukrainian. Conflict is not about America lol our media is crazy they argue about funding or helping as a nato member but everyone is funding them

    Thanks for taking the time to post this. It's hard when you've made the choice to come over. I've found it particularly hard in New Zealand as it isn't that militaristic over here, but it's reassuring that I'm not the only one to feel this way.

    • @DudeDudeDudeDudeDude
      @DudeDudeDudeDudeDude 2 месяца назад

      That would not be as important, you would be risking your life in a hi intensity war, the camoflouge likely won't help you against drones or artillery. You need to really think about this.

      Just asking because of friendly fire. The camouflage type I use is green, brown, and black and russians use green to.

      I dont have experience either so I just donate money to ukrainian organisations like United24, Come Back Alive and Protect A Volunteer.
      100$ isnt that much in a western country like the US or Germany but its a large amount of money in Ukraine and helps a lot.
      Im donating every month.

      Well, Ukraine did not invade Russia, and kill/torture a bunch of babies, elderly and women. Whether you agree with the politics of Ukraine/Russia or not, the fact is Ukraine is a SOVEREIGN NATION, that was invaded by an aggressor. If Ukraine did what Palistine did to innocent kids, like snuck into Russia and rampaged 1000s of civilians, and then Russia retaliated by destroying Ukraine, I would have NO problem with that. But it's not the case. Despite the excuses, Putin is attempting to expand power, resources and bring back nations that used to be in the soviet union. THAT is the reality of it. The excuses about donbass wanting to be in Russian control, excuses about "fascists" in Ukraine is just BS excuses. Its like Iraq having "weapons of mass destruction" and the US invading because of that. None were found. But the truth is it was invaded for geopolitical reasons, not WMD'S
