      Amazing village and I will certainly visit again. However, the village is very far and walking up and down the hills for 8km isn't easy

    You could have requested the villagers for staying there or ask them whether u can put a tent, they would have helped you.

      I did ask them if I could stay and unfortunately they don't allow any outsiders staying in their village for fear of illness, they don't even allow Indian people, you have to be living there to be allowed to stay. Please share and bring friends to the channel ❤️

      @RJinspire okay got it, yes anybody from city or other areas may transfer cold ect.. Above all hospitals are not nearby. Makes sense from their point of view.

      Thank you brother and yes they don't want strangers staying over night but very welcoming during the day. Hospitals are too far to walk. I learnt a lot from their village. It was so funny when they kept saying it's getting late, you must go 😂

      @@RJinspirethat was very courageous of you. They are far ahead of us Kenyans . Just try and go deep in the undeveloped areas and u v got no knowledge of their language, u will be terrified. Again Kenyans are not as friendly as they used to be. I don’t blame them cos the hard times is affecting them in a big way

    RJinspire. Much of rural village life in India reminds me of my growing up in rural Jamaica in the 1970's. The villagers you met during your trek seem so warm and friendly towards you which I found very nice. In fact, I found your entire video to be nostalgic and relaxing.     It looks almost like the village in Durban, South Africa where a large Indian community sprung up during Apartheid -rustic and every house had a couple of fruit trees, there was also a Temple a Mosque and two schools.

    I was in India many years ago, the place is so good people are amazing a lot of animals every where, but the weather is so extremely hot oh my god 🫣too hot 🥵 especially in New Delhi 😮, I was dying 🤔😱I will go there again love ❤️ It 🙏🏿

    I loved your travelogue about Kodaikanal in the beautiful Nilgiri hill country. Thank you for taking me there again. I grew up in Kodai from age 7 to 10. I am now 86 and a resident of the US since 1965. My memories are fresh from 1946 and sweet smell of Kodai....eucalyptus and magnolia smells. God bless you. Travel everywhere and be with simple folks like in India.

    Thanks for your interesting and passioned videos. I had never heard of the SIDDIs. Those are our relatives that were stollen from Africa. Slave trade had negative impact to balck community where a section of black race was ripped off their culture and belonging. Is there a way the British and Portuguese Government could compensate the SIDDis for the different types of torture they went through? Otherwise, if I had capacity I would send some donations to the vulnerable.

      Their nearest town is mome 8km walk from their villages. They live on their own produce of fruits and veggies and chapatis (Chapatis are made from grains)

      They are Asian Indians and no other mix, they live in remote rural villages that keeps them much fitter than the rest of India

      @@RJinspire people are good in this country but be careful bcs of culture difference especially in rural areas some traditional people(womens) dont like to be in camera(filmed) and dont like to be get close and also dont like be aproch when husband is near or outside ...if u go right according to culture ur experience will be great If you make mistakes some accident may happen

      It seems you didn't watch the video up to 5:17, 11:27 and 24:49 where I introduced the village with the name. The village name mentioned several times starting from 5:17 😂 You have to watch the entire video to find out the name of the village 😂

I googled it, Vatican came up, LOL, Tried with several other spellings and finally I found out. It might be Vattakanal near to the famous Hill Station Kodaikanal. Still do not know what you mean by Vilagani?
