A compilation of BBC's channels countdowns, including all of them - News Channel countdowns, World News countdowns, filler countdowns, Arabic countdowns, Persian countdowns and even Alba countdowns!
This took a lot of effort to create, but I managed to do it in time for the BBC Reith 1 year anniversary.

1999 version is the start of an iconic legend: David Lowe's composition that still sits until today.
Good ol' childhood days when father used to watch BBC news in his bed and 10 years old me ly down on his legs and used to enjoy this music, still am.
He is no longer in this world, but memories are!

Who else, is ramdonly listening to this during a Local Tier 4 Lockdown in England? This is sublimely done and really demonstrates why the BBC is one of the UK's most cherised instituations worldwide!

I absolutely love this. But one thing that bugs me is the misspelling of "Lenght". It's Length!!

Never heard the first one from 1997. (We didn't get BBC News then). But I love it now. Not that the others ones are bad, I love those too.
We did, BBC News 24 (as it was called then), launched on 9th November 1997 and used that countd9wn until 1999
Simply fantastic.
I always listen to this to keep my journalism fire of passion burning. I am still hoping that one day, I'll get the chance of becoming a BBC news correspondent! Prayers.

BBC World News countdown, my favourite bedtime music only for its crystal clear music
It's critical people realize the hard work and personal sacrifice, it takes from the broadcast engineers, audio engineers, camera persons, reporters in the field who risk their life and health to deliver the news. Always behind the camera, operating the technical infrastructure. Rarely seen, always accountable for signal continuity.
Stellar compositions
"This is the BBC World Service" When I was young we used to get our news from them, we didn't have any other media outlet where we lived, the tune stuck.... Memories...
I love the 1999 version of the BBC news music. When they changed to a less aggressive, it didn’t match the feel and sound at all, but 2008 onwards it’s more of a hill climb.
I think they were embarrassed because Bill Bailey started incorporating it into his show and gently mocking it as being incongruent with the BBC's very traditional, uptight reputation.
Brain gets energetic when I listen to these BBC tracks.
The earlier 1999 is the best one. Has the best 'pulse' feel. It's intense.

I think the Beeb gradually toned it down because they didn't like the fact that Bill Bailey seemed to be making fun of it.

I didn't know We Celebrated 30 years of BBC News! (except BBC Arabic and Perisan)
Russian Service used to have a countdown at the end of 2019.
I didn't some of the more obscure foreign language channels' countdowns, because I know very little about them and I have only found one full countdown. I also didn't want to add countdowns that didn't have any refreshes.
@@BBCCountdownsIntros SABC news used to have a 10 second countdown in 2012-ish. It wasnt as refined as BBC's countdown, but i remember it vividly from my childhood
Maybe BBC Alba could receive a version of BBC Farsi 2009, but with a 60 second countdown and Celtic instruments playing.

This is all brilliant. The misspelling of “Legnth” is so that you know are are watching the real deal. There is an HD version around now with the spelling corrected with an awful David Lowe out of context overlay. Long live “Legnth”.
I've actually fixed length in ruclips.net/video/H6TOKOwecI4/видео.html, but I messed up the scrolling text in the World 2007 countdown...
I can imagine Steve Reich or maybe Phillip Glass taking this music and making something epic with it

I liked the earlier visuals pre-2005, shooting on film really makes things look bigger budget and glossy and cinematic. The video shots creeped in from 2005 and it lost something (The music gets better with every version though)

Though I liked the BBC News 2006-2008 incl. 2007 Refresh. 2008-2013. Incl. 2010 2011 and 2012 refresh Countdowns. To be sure. I like the BBC World’s Countdowns from 2005-2008 including 2007 music refresh. 2008-2013 one yes I like those. And the 2013-present including the 2019 reiths refresh. Both of them 2013-present

How was this made fantastic graphics!
I used the Movavi Video Editor. Had to download most of these countdowns, put them together and then create the graphics. It sounds complicated, though I managed to make this in 4-5 days.

I used some text boxes and colored them, than used key-frame animation to make them move.

To me the 2010 fillers get confusing, because for 30 seconds BBC News didnt show numbers, the filler didnt show numbers, so I just keep thinking the filler is a fill countdown
Yeah, I still don't understand how the fillers worked back then, especially because the full versions can't be seen anywhere on RUclips...
