I love that they broadcast BBC South South and South North, and Look East East and Look East West 😂
They are parts of the specific regions. So Look East East would be the edition of Look East for the East of the region.
The south of the south, the north of the south.

2:05 never watch Sky News apart from when I'm staying in a hotel or a cruise ship and it's all that's there, so this theme makes me feel like I'm on holiday!

@@owen1994 I'm not saying that the music in the News at 10/1/6 is bad (it's still an iconic tune), but I still prefer the way the regional news themes tries something different compared to the other one which basically sounds the same since 1999.
I wouldn’t say it’s more creative, I’d just say that the themes for the national news are written with a greater sense of urgency/importance. The local variants take on a more playful style, which is how we can identify the two apart. Which one you like more is personal preference.

Good job! STV has two intros usually, but corona's put paid to that and they are independent of ITV, they just both share the channel 3 franchise.
Yes, STV Central - Glasgow Edinburgh Fort William. STV North - Aberdeen Inverness and North of Scotland.
The opening for STV News is the Scotland wide opening due to the Aberdeen and Edinburgh studios being out of action. Aberdeen and Glasgow/Edinburgh have their own respective openings.
Yes, unfortunately I couldn't include everything I wanted to due to you-know-what. A whole bunch of sub-regions are suspended and lots of ITV regions have gone pan-regional. Some of the BBC regions are showing special lockdown-themed titles. Also, ITV national bulletins lack the nice jib shot of the studio at the beginning :-(
Dundee also has a kinda sub bulletin as part of the Aberdeen show

I just saw this in my RUclips home feed recommendations, and I kinda wish I could provide Mediacorp news openings from Singapore for this YT channel, but I can't at the moment. (Edit: this was before I realised most of the content here is from the UK and Europe)
Edit: (2:03) I find it interesting that Sky News opens with views of their website across (presumably) desktop Web, TV app, and mobile Web. It reminds me of some of those movies that open with a hardcover book magically opening and a camera zooming into an illustration or comic panel that then comes to life.
Actually, national ITV News (as well as ITV News London), Channel 4 News and 5 News are produced by the same company, ITN.

ITV regional news is the last bastion of the old franchises. If only they could incorporate the Anglia knight, Central cake, Granada G, etc.
Doesn’t this just belong with all the other weird nostalgia though that drives a lot of other things in our world? It properly surprises me that so many people think having a regional identity on the bit before the news is an important thing. People get so odd about it.

Actually feeling a bit traumatised, having watched this and let it sink in that coronavirus and its effects on society has been the main news story, national and regional, for three quarters of the year now. Wow. :(
You know what else is traumatic? The fact that the world 2019 and before will never happen again. Kids born now would only know a social distance, mask wearing and just more home learning world from now on.

Nice, another news intro compilation. I like intro of BBC Region in England because its look fresh. I have some questions, what the different between BBC One in Scotland and BBC Scotland? Is S4C stand alone TV channel or part of Main TV channel in British? Next how about Denmark News Intro Compilation including its dependencies like Faroe Island and Greenland, or another Scandinavian countries.
News on BBC One are always a UK-wide bulletin followed by regional (in England) or national (in Scotland, Wales, and Northen Ireland) opt-out news. The BBC One bulletins are also broadcast on the BBC News Channel, where they're followed by Sportsday. On BBC One Scotland, you would have the BBC News at Ten; then after the national weather, Huw Edwards says 'And now, news where you are, good bye' and Reporting Scotland starts.
BBC Scotland is another TV channel that has its own bulletins (the only ones with a custom presentation and studio design): The Nine and The Seven. It has no equivalent in other UK nations.
S4C is the fourth channel in Wales, and is only broadcast in Welsh. Channel 4 is still available, but not on the number 4 on the remote. Its news bulletins are produced by the BBC, but S4C is still independent and chooses the presentation.
In terms of your Scottish question, BBC One Scotland is the Scottish opt-out of the national ("network") BBC One. While BBC Scotland is a separate channel that broadcasts part time, showing mainly Scottish-produced shows. BBC Alba is another channel which also broadcasts part-time, in Scots Gaelic
Basically bbc one Scotland is just bbc one with a few changes and bbc Scotland is it’s own channel and doesn’t usually start until later in the day apart from recently it broadcasts the first ministers daily briefing at 12:30 although I believe they may have stopped now as it’s not on the TV guide
S4C is welsh language channel only shown in wales and on freeview and freesat in the UK....
its a stand alone channel but its news is produced by BBC wales in cardiff, BBC Alba is in scottish gaelic its news is from BBC Scotland from edinburgh....

have different schedules too those in in english regions , and the national news usually follows UK bulletin news on BBC and ITV
@@jardon8636 Mostly correct - however An Là on BBC Alba comes from a studio in Inverness, not Edinburgh. Also; while BBC One Northern Ireland, BBC One Wales, and BBC One Scotland do have substantially different schedules from BBC One in England... BBC One Channel Islands only has regional opts for news at 1830 and 2230 Monday to Friday (not at weekends) and other regional opt slots are filled with output from BBC One South West in Plymouth.

British Southeast Asia TV News Intros 2020 / Openings Compilation (HD)
The Newsline intro seems to be the longest to remained unchanged over time, it seems to have stayed the same since 2008
It has been BBC Reithed.

ITV News has two editions for the "West Country". One for the West region basically Bristol, South Gloucestershire, West Wiltshire and East and South Somerset, North Dorset, and broadcast from Bristol and one for the South West Region, Isles of Scilly, Cornwall, Devon, West Somerset, and West Dorset also broadcast from Bristol. No one watches the itv regional news for the South West. People prefer and trust Spotlight from the BBC. At least they are broadcasting to the region from the region.
Dorset has ITV West Country, ITV West and ITV Meridian depending on where you are in the county kinda crazy

BBC News and it’s set, seems a bit messy and all over the place to me. Whereas ITN (where ITV News is produced), seems more neat and tidy. ITV News’ studio is also clean and bright too (thanks to green screen and real cameramen behind the cameras)
