Make sure you go down the left side of the car and i think it was the blue and violet wire.

Love the videos man keep it going, doing some work on my own corsa at the moment. Can I ask did you find a guide on what wire was the reverse wire on the light connections. Cant find any guides online. Mine is a 3dr and I'm trying to add another brakelight. But cant find out which wire is which. Any help appreciated
Thankyou mate I really appreciate it. I didn't find a guide just a lot of questions in forums and places and got very little info back. Blue and violet wire was the reverse light I think and I believe the black was the negative.

Hello I've watched your video thanks but how do you get that pink wire out of the old housing to put in the other one thanks
Hiya you can use a pair of tweezers like I did but ideally you wanna use a cheap tool called a wire pin removal tool. It simply goes in the hole and pushes the pins in a way that it just pulls out
Thanks for the reply really appreciate it top man so do I pinch it from the bottom end to get it out? There in there good arnt they lol
No problem mate and Yeah you pinch from the bottom (opposite of where wires come out).they definitely are 🤣 The tool makes it a lot easier but it is doable with the tweezers lol.
Brilliant mate thanks will give that a go tried everything yday to get it out the other one is in a right mess lol what are the metal crimp connectors called do you no just incase lol

Tbh mate I'm not to sure sorry. You could probably find out once you've got it out and compare to what they look like to other wire connectors at terminals but It's been so long I can't even remember which ones they were lol
What headunit is they mate? Looking for a budget one with sub out like yours but the link in desc is broken

@@BrakesWheelsAutomobiles has that 7018b one got Bluetooth and do the steering wheel controls still work? Guessing no to the 2nd but would like Bluetooth
There is a wire for steering wheel controls so I imagine they do but I didn't use it as iv got a basic spec steering wheel atm. It does have Bluetooth and also you can mirror your phone screen when it's plugged in for maps and things. It's brilliant for the price really
Hi, I know this video is a few months old, so hoping you might still be able to help. Can you tell me why you needed to connect the pink wire to the red cable in the head unit. Does the camera not get the 12volt power supply it needs from the reversing light power cable, when the car is put into reverse. Thanks
Hey mate if I remember correctly. The power from the rear goes to the camera to turn the light on but I think the camera wouldn't connect to the head unit without getting a supply on the other side but tbh I can't 100% remember. I'd try without and if it doesn't work then try connect the pink to red

No I don't think so. The power comes to the camera via the reverse light at the back which us why it comes on when going into reverse
Hope you don’t think I’m being a pain, and I’d like to thank you for taking the time to help. So don’t know if you can answer these questions, but would be grateful if you could. Is the pink wire a permanent live, if so it can be taken from any permanent live supply. If it isn’t, do you know what turns it live. Also if I understand you right, the camera and it’s light gets a live feed when the car is put into reverse.
Its no problem. I'm sorry Im not much help. Yes I think it is a permanent live but tbh I can't remember lol. And yes the camera definitely gets its power from the reverse light so only comes on when going into reverse. Hopefully that helps mate. Its been so long since I did it lol.

That's odd mate. Is it definitely in the right hole? and also make sure the connection is fully pushed in
The camera lights up just no video comes up
@@BrakesWheelsAutomobiles yes everything is in right place the reversing camera as lights on it and when put in reverse just not video coming up of the actual camera
Have you plugged the yellow av wire into the correct port? Try clicking on av in and if this shows the feed it means that you have got the yellow yellow in the wrong one
Yeah mate it’s plugged into the right one cam in it says for me on the back of the unit, think I’ve got exactly the same one as you
I tried connecting the camera to the reverse light and it won’t turn on (I’m guessing not enough power) and the only way i found to make it work is to connect it to a random light cable but this way the camera light stays on even when i’m not reversing
That's very odd. Potentially try using a thicker wire as a replacement as it may not be allowing the correct current through. I seem to remember the original was quite thin. Also make sure it is correctly earthed.
Was it hard to fit in ??? Like the whole radio touchscreen
Took quite a lot of research prior cos I was worried about it but tbh mate it was pretty easy to do

@@BrakesWheelsAutomobiles when u put the touchscreen radio in now did u know it wpuld fit because my touchscreen radio is 7 inches but looks like it’s smaller than the vhoxal radio ?
Yes mate I knew it would fit. There are screw holes in the sides of it to put a screw through your metal cage thats in their already. Should hold in place and then you need to buy a plastic fascia trim for over the top of it thst just fille in the space but it covers most of the space and fits perfect
what's the bgm mate?
I think it's called sunny days by anno domini beats. All the bgm I use are from the youtube studio folder. They have 1000s of copyright free songs on there

I have a pink wire, but it says phone mute on it
Im unsure mate maybe it's supposed to be for phone connections
on vauxhall astra there is no black wire in order to power the camera? I have brown but when I connect the video wire to it that camera doesn’t turn on
I'm unsure mate should be the same in most cars I imagine. Try finding something in an astra forum for wiring diagrams. May help. Are you connecting it into the reverse light?
