Deception Pass State Park, Beach Loop (Short Outdoor Excursions)

In the Puget Sound, April and May bring low tides at convenient hours. Monday's low tide was a minus tide between 2 and 3 pm -- perfect for an afternoon walk along North and West beaches at Deception Pass State Park. We made it into a 4 mile loop by first walking the continuous beaches, which is only possible at extreme low (minus) tides, and then taking the trail through the woods passed the campground.
