loading and compressing the rod work's, I'm able to do the long distance pendulum cast on the beach here in Ireland with three bait's clipped down and a 5oz breakaway lead, and it's all about loading the rod and letting it do the work, quite simple really once you get the hang of it 👍👍 I'm enjoying your videos, thanks for posting and tight lines 💫
Hey Ryan, great question! It usually depends on the general depth of water your fishing. If your fishing small creeks or rivers with shallower pockets I would aim for 3-4 feet. If it’s a more moderate sized river with bigger pools and runs then run about 4-6 feet of tippet off your tippet ring. The idea is to keep your sighter material above the water. Hope that helps!
With a $900 range and if your looking to buy a rod only for euro nymphing I would recommend the Orvis 10’6” 3wt Helios 3. However, if your looking for a more all purpose euro rod that’s half the price with similar performance and allows you to also throw dries and an indicator set nymph set up I recommend the Streem 10’ 3wt Rift.
Jeremy is back with the nymphing tips!!! 👍🏼👊🏼🤟🏼👊🏼👍🏼
He knows his nymphing techniques!

Awesome to see you guys back it’s been a while
It definitely has been a minute. Stay tuned we have a lot of awesome videos planned for this year!
Streem Outdoors How is that 10’ 3 wt?
One of our favorites! It’s been our go to on the smaller rivers we have around here.
This was about the drift and the strike, not really about the cast.
Thank You !!!!
"Euro Nymph casting is easy, let's talk about something else."
You just summed up every euro casting vid on the internet.
How do you know how long tippet to tie on your tippet ring?

Hanak, all day! Have 2 helios 3, but never use them anymore. Hanak makes better rods.
Thanks for commenting Erik... what specifically about the Hanak do you like that’s better than the Helios 3?
