I would love a part 2 but idk how that would even happen. Yuji is cracked in terms of power and the biggest threats are gone. Only thing I could see is if someone with a loose connection to Kenjaku or another character tries to start the merger again.

people forget this is not just a physical battle but a battle of ideologies and concepts. please speak on that hundred. i dont believe other Shonen tackle subjects like that and people just are not used to it an cant understand as yet. like for example gojo vs sukuna was a battle of the best sorcery and skill set. while sukuna vs maki and yuji was a battle also of ideas. This is why jjk was soo good to me you have to understand all the aspects and truly think with this manga. I put this before the video you did talk about thanks, would like an in depth breakdown including mahitos ideal as well as maki and sukunas vs yujis
Most shonen are battles of ideologies.
The glaze is crazy, JJK and Gege didn’t pioneer anything in Shonen. Philosophical fights have existed in anime for decades. 😂
While a lot of shonens and their plots are ideology battles most aren't very good. JJK's is very solid and has a fun version integrating power scaling into it's themes.
JJK didn't invent battles of ideology, but I agree that it does it extremely well and people need to talk about that more
Like previous comments say, other stories have done this before. Demon Slayer even does it through the performance of Tanjirou and Yoriichi when it comes to their respective goals and fates. I speak about this more in an upcoming video though so dw.
Maybe those were the two twins, and since he ate his good brother, he had the capacity for good himself but chose to stick to being a bad guy in the life that made Sukuna. Now he's choosing his brother's ideals, which are represented by Yuji.

After watching another RUclipsrs take on the translations and then seeing your video on the ending really puts into perspective how much of the story’s theming is just glanced over

This last chapter completes sukuna and doesn't contradict what he did and said previously. with the latest chapter I see loads of possibilities for sukuna in a completely new light. A boy who was cursed by his surroundings so much that he encapsulated that persona. Its like if Naruto turned a villain and committed so many atrocities to the point where he feels like he is nature's divine wrath on life.
Sukuna's atrocities will also be seen in a new light. But even sukuna doesn't care about redeemability. He is not somebody who is completely changed but wonders about the second path because losing meant death and now he wonders after seeing what would happen if he took the second path. Maybe at the end it wasn't as fulfilling as he thought his end would be.
Its a brilliant characterization and subversion of tropes. We thought sukuna was kurama but he was Naruto who didn't have someone to lift him up and turned out to be like this after decades of slaughter.

Yuji and gojo's convo for me really showed how free gojo was in his final moments and in his journey. And Yuji saying the same line gojo said to the dude.
Everything great about the character will be carried on. His strength, his ideals. Gojo got a more impactful sendoff then people giving him a funeral which ofcourse happened. Yuji literally showed how much he loved and believed in him.
People complain about chapter 269 a lot also. I have a different take.
Simple domain conclusion is also a hint at the future about how the old ways of the elders and hierarchy are going to change. It's basically confirming what the series has shown in it's shadow for a long time. How the selfish and old and traditional ultimately bring harm to the future and ripping it to make a clear future where community, sharing and support reins over all is the most important.
We suspected these old men from the clans were all vultures, as the old drunken Zenin man from the Shibuya Incident cost us so many people, and the whole Maki arc, but here we see it plain to see, they were LITERALLY parasites sucking away at the energy of these jujutsu sorcerers for their own gain, making them weaker.
And when an emergency actually hit, no one was prepared. A shit ton of people died, and these old men were still safe in their own hideouts.
The only people who actually stood up and got it done were the people Gojo kept close to him, the people who understood what he wanted for Jujutsu society. Not a group of selfish isolated strong individuals, but ones who supported each other and covered where the others lacked.
This lore was literally a sign that gojo's dream was coming true and a new world will be built by guys who are kind and passionate and not leeches.
Overall the ending left some plot points open which can lead to more storylines. but it's still a complete character ending and a good one at that.
Sukuna lost and grew from it man thats insane especially with his final words to yuji

Eh I’m glad this ain’t some Naruto cliche talk no jutsu lesson tho, Yuji understood what Megumi lost and said he couldn’t blame him if he just gave up. It was much more realistic
It’s been a great journey keeping up to date week by week with this videos and I love your take on the ending it keeps the theme of passing on your will/dreams that the story begins with and has been constantly reinforced throughout the story

Idc how it ended fr, this has been my favorite ongoing manga for years atp. It was so different from anything I’d watch just in terms of how the story handled itself. (Using subtlety instead of just blatantly stating things) it was truly my Jujutsu kaisen

It’s a very direct ending. I’m very bittersweet on it. I loved the series but I’m not 100% convinced on the ending. I did like parts of it though for sure. Thanks for all your JJK content, it’s been good keeping up on chapters from your videos

Its such an amazing work of art really. Gege story was solely about Sukuna. Which he concluded beautifully, where he reached Nirvana and came full circle.
Think about it. Sukuna gave Yuji purpose with his reincarnation within Yuji. Sukuna enlightened Yuji and Yuji enlightened Sukuna. Yin and yang. Twins. Full circle. Buddhism.
Sukuna's influence also essentially led to the JJK society's corrupted shackles to be destroyed (Zenin slaughter, Gojo killing the higher ups, and concluding with Mei Mei killing the SD Elders
Heck both the "Strongest" character arcs concluded beautifully.
And both had massive positive influence in JJK sorcerors' future.
Gotta remember that the masses criticized Gege for making Gojo too OP to write a good character, yet because of his story of Sukuna, he gave the 2 strongest some of the most beautiful char arcs ever witnessed.
Yes, plotholes this and that. Rushed this rush that. Nahhh, story was about Sukuna and that story has ended (Gojo arc too, beauty)

Hundred, thank you man. The time you spent analyzing the series we love will be irreplaceable whenever I think back on this series. JJK is easily one of my favorite series of all time. Although there are problems I have with it (pacing, choice of subject, etc.) I have never once faulted in my thoughts on the story. I love it. Gege did an amazing job with his series and we are incredibly fortunate to have people like you who put time into understanding the material presented to us. This was an amazing journey, and hopefully we will get a sequel!

My whole thing is what was the point of kenjaku then. You could have had a culling games arc after killing sukuna to make Kenjaku some kind of relevant

I have so many underwhelming feelings toward how JJK ended, but I did like where it landed.
That final discussion between Yuji and Gojo was a great moment. Gojo was tired of people comparing themselves to him and see themselves as inferior. Now, he feel reassure than ever because he sees the potential in his students, like Yuji, to surpass him. That's why he was so at peace despite losing the fight. I find that part to be truly beautiful especially compared to Sukuna who has nothing left to pass on. Though he did start to accept there was another path.

I like your content so much that it almost gaslit me into thinking this was an actual good final chapter, I will always love jjk but this ending was super rushed and we really should have gotten more character interactions and world building before the final 3 chapters😂

I liked the ending, we just got to see the original cast solve a curse related incident together it's just nice.
I wish they would do a prequel to where Sukuna fought the strongest curse users back in the Edo period.

Kenjaku merges with tengen while sukuna is reincarnated and goes to meet up with Yuli and the others to give them Kenjakus ACTUAL plan. Gonna get another 30 chapters of sukuna, yuji, nobara, and megumi training together and taking down cursed spirits slowly connecting the dots to where kenjaku is hiding. Then gonna get another 100 chapters of the REAL final battle. Gege is just making us think he's not gonna continue the series when he said "Not JJK related" because it's gonna be the continuation of the story just under a different name.

It really makes me tear up for gojo to acknowledge that yuji has a different type of strength that he didn’t… will power/ mental strength…
i thought the woman in the other path was Yoruzo, as she wanted to teach him love, while uraume was there to help him seek revenge, kinda mirroring eachother. idk made sense to me when reading but nice that its up to the reader what they think of it

For the ending to have been perfect we would have needed 3-4 additional chapters of some background on Sakuna because him being an oversized kid that wanted to let him malice out isn't cutting it. And him wanting to protect uraimai is kind of an ass pull without some background. I understand not every question needs to be answered for good writing but for someone to be so evil since the beginning, to then say I'm turning a new leaf, some explaination is needed. Or else that's just lazy writing but I guess in this case it was rushed writing.
I thought the other woman was the woman that possessed Megumi's sister. Since nother her and the ice woman offered him companionship and understanding, but he rejected them.
I was conflicted, but I think I really like the ending. Ending it right back where we started really hits home the them of rebirth and change. There are a few plot lines I wished got more time, but I am satisfied with what Gege was able to accomplish. The journey was truly remarkable and I would give the series an 8.9/10.
I loved this chapter, and as a whole I loved the series. Of course it wasn't fully expended, but still theres so many great moments and those really fun characters will stick with me for a while (especially Yuji my goat)
We need a JJK part 2…imagine the trio raising raising/training the next gojo?! Not our Satoru, but the next in line….then something with Sakuna and his finger again…sheeeeeesh😊
Some things are good, but it's very mid imo. So much of the cast surviving and things just explained away to be back to normal is not how the story was up to this point. If this is really how the author wanted this to end, all I ask is Why? It genuinely seems like MHA ending broke his spirt or something because everything was going fine until that 5 Chapter announcement and what do you know, Nobara came back, foreshadowed or not, being gone half the series just to get one final W is BS, cause it's over now, what else can you do?
I guess I kind of expected the final arc to go little bit longer to give everyone still alive more screen time or stuff to do like the Merger if that were to happen, but instead we get everyone recapping what they should and shouldn't have done days after the fight when that conversation should have happened on the battlefield at least, it feels so weird and unsatisfying cause you'd really think this would have ended with a bang. A happy ending is fine, but for the sake of a memorable or impactful ending or something more line with the manga's tone up to this point I would have wanted either Yuji dying in the fight with his friends at his side, having a "proper death" like S1 pushed for, or most of the students to die and it's Yuji and Megumi that take the brunt of rebuilding things, except Megumi should be braindead because of Infinite Void and the stress of being Sukuna's vessel but whatever.

The leakers did this chapter dirty. It took me a couple hours but I really loved this chapter. Honestly, Sukuna gotta be my favorite villain, this gauntlet and ending chapter was great.
