Nepal currently has three international airports, with Tribhuvan Airport operating profitably while Pokhara and Gautam Buddha International Airports are facing financial challenges. The problem with we "Nepali" in general is we are too phobic to indian influence, Frankly Nepal is not of any interest to either india or china, what do you nepal has to offer india? few Mega watt of water? or natural resources ? Read carefully brother i have not stated india doing that From the videos I've watched regarding India's assistance to other countries, I've seen numerous instances, but I haven't come across any evidence of India putting countries in debt traps. If people get better services and crime gets reduced, then it is fine to give them the airport. We are not being able to handle the airport well, which is shown by recent rise in smuggling and the fight between police and officers of airport. If they can handle it well then why not.

There is nothing wrong to accept the foreign investment, it will definitely gonna help nepalese to increase the income. But the twist is the whats types of company they allow to enter in nepal. Adani gonna survive in nepal cuz they have money and power and they can buy anything so corrupt politicians gonna get benifits.
This investment can break the cartel of airport industry of nepal as they control tickets prices Indian domestic planes might get direct flights from nepal to india and domestic flights as well. Which reduce price of ticket and if adani take control, the loan of pokhara and Gautam buddha airport will be paid by adani as Indian doesn't want Chinese influence in nepal. And nepali security system is so weak, import of illegal Indian currency and terrorism and gold (which is further smuggle in india) will be controlled. Overrall this is win win situation.
What if prices of tickets raises people who can travel in plane can compensate extra 2 3 k on domestic and 10 to 15k in international flights but the customer will get high security and properly maintained and managed services.

Yes, it is clear that adani and BJP has close ties. Isn't that, in a way, beneficial to Nepal? Adani can help secure the permission required to use the landing equipment in Gautam Buddha Intl Airport from INDIA and also get the access to various new and helpful entry points for both loss facing new airports? Maybe this FDI wont lead Nepal to a debt trap. We should consider the good side too.
I also completely agree that Nepal Govt must find a way to see the betterment of customers and protecting Nepal's confidentiality and even regarding the payment of loan prior to involving adani. Overall a neck to neck deal between adani and Nepal govt. regarding airports could be beneficial as the way I see is, it is high time to operate the new airports to their full potential. Majorly because the new business in these cities have been dying. Also, decentralisation would help boom different places in Nepal and definitely help the falling economy to rise.

Gautam Adani, Founder and Chairman of the Adani Group, has amassed a net worth of roughly $120 billion, adding over $100 billion in the past 3 years largely through stock price appreciation in the group’s 7 key listed companies, which have spiked an average of 819% in that period.
The Adani Group has previously been the focus of 4 major government fraud investigations which have alleged money laundering, theft of taxpayer funds and corruption, totaling an estimated U.S. $17 billion. Adani family members allegedly cooperated to create offshore shell entities in tax-haven jurisdictions like Mauritius, the UAE, and Caribbean Islands, generating forged import/export documentation in an apparent effort to generate fake or illegitimate turnover and to siphon money from the listed companies.
Evidence of stock manipulation in Adani listed companies shouldn’t come as a surprise. SEBI has investigated and prosecuted more than 70 entities and individuals over the years, including Adani promoters, for pumping Adani Enterprises’ stock.
A 2007 SEBI ruling stated that “the charges leveled against promoters of Adani that they aided and abetted Ketan Parekh entities in manipulating the scrip of Adani stand proved”. Ketan Parekh is perhaps India’s most notorious stock market manipulator. Adani Group entities originally received bans for their roles, but those were later reduced to fines, a show of government leniency toward the Group that has become a decades-long pattern.
