So glad to hear you had such a good time on your vacation. Parents need that time away from their children to nurture each other. You had a nice Goodwill haul. I’m looking forward to seeing part two.
I think you scored big with the briefcase/computer bag Kristen! I bought a similar one a few years ago, vintage and beautifully restored for a pretty good amount. Worth every penny I tell you. I believe you can wash the interior (It looks like fabric) and the leather with a mild soap like The Laundress then use leather products to moisturize the leather. I also loved the books you found. See you next Sunday!
I loved everything Kristen! There were so many things in your shop with me portion, that I said to myself "Oh, I hope she gets that and shows it in her haul!" Can't wait for next week's video!
I love blueberry coffee so I can imagine that creamer is awesome. I am going to look for some as I also love flavored creamers. I love seeing all of your finds-be it clothes, housewares, whatever. I will stay tuned for part 2.
Hi Kristen, the leather bag is a quality item but it needs a good feed of leather moisturiser. The moisturiser may get rid of those marks on the back. The marks may have been caused by a belt buckle when the previous owner wore the bag.
Kristen, Nice finds as always! Love all the American Doll and Rose Wilder books. This is random but I would love to see a hair routine what products you use and how you keep it straight I know you said it was curly. Thank you enjoying all your videos.
There's honestly not much of a routine. I just use Herbal Essences shampoo + conditioner, blow dry it, and straighten it. My hair is super thick, and very course, so it takes a long time to straighten, but then I don't have to wash it for about a week or so.
Great score on the books. The Dear America and my America books are wonderful. I’m a grandma and I love reading them. I haven’t heard of the Rose Wilder books but I would love to find them myself.
Such a wonderful haul! I love the Oshkosh overalls. My daughters wore them 35 years ago and they are so cute and timeless. We were a big fan of Laura Ingall Wilder but I didn't know Rose had books. We got to go to the Missouri town where they eventually settled. There is a museum and you can tour Laura's house. You and the girls should visit someday.
The books are so fun! I had the Rose years, AG sets, and the Dear America books when I was a kid. Brought back fun memories and reminded me to do that with my daughter! We are reading through the Little House series right now (on book 3). When I dreamed of becoming a mom, I always imagined reading those books with my kids, so I’m living my mom-life fantasy right now! Loved seeing all your scores. Have a great week!
After every vacation, I say, “I need a vacation to recover from my vacation!” They are wonderful, but always tiring. Loved all of your finds! That leather bag is amazing! Buy some saddle soap and follow the directions to clean it - it will cover a lot of those scratches/marks. Although, personally, I think the “scars” make it more beautiful! The books are all wonderful. I would love to sit down and read them for myself. You and your girls are going to enjoy those for many years to come. That wooden easel is great. Not only can it be used while painting, you can use it to display a finished painting. (My husband is an artist and woodworker. He built a 6+-foot easel out of rosewood. It is stunning!) Poor Ivy! She (and you) have had a rough few months. I hope the carrier that you found at such a steal will help. Oh! And you can repair that little wicker chair by wrapping some twine around the leg and the base of the chair, then just tying a knot on the inside of the base. No one will even notice. Love the quality and cuteness of Oshkosh clothing! As always, thanks for sharing. Blessings!
I love that leather Case atache case I guess you call it lol? I wish I had a Big Goodwill Outlet by me. I never thought of going there to shop until I started watching youtube and saw how popular it was. Now almost all my clothes come from there. I learn so many things from watching my channels. Shopping, cooking, vintage finds, decorating ideas it's endless! You my dear are so sweet and wholesome and so enjoy watching you. Your children are just beautiful too.
I love all of your videos, it's so fun to see what you get at the bins. My daughter's and I use to go too, it's been so long that I need to go back!! You always have great finds. I can't wait til part 2! I'm happy you and Josh had a great vacation to spend time with your family and friends. Have a blessed week💗
My mom used to live in the DFW area. The thrift was amazing. Yard sales awesome, and sales at department stores unlike anything you’ve ever seen anywhere else. I Miss Texas.
I love watching the home ware and the clothes. I use to only really look at the home ware in the charity shops in the UK. But since following you on RUclips you inspired me to look more at the clothes and I’ve found some great finds at the fraction of the price! And good for the planet too. So win win 😊👍
If you got tired of the buckles, you could do a DIY and replace them with some velcro. If you know a shoe repair shop, you could also get them to make stitching changes.
GREAT finds. Thanks for taking us along. I cannot wait to see how you decorate your home with your treasures. I too don't like to see items go to the landfills
The Martha Years series is only 4 books so you have the whole set. Amazing finds. Some of those books are crazy expensive on eBay. I’m 50 years old and have read all the books in each series except the Martha books, but I do have them. I used to have all of them in each series and I decided to donate them to Goodwill and have spent the last few years slowly replacing them. Even though they are for younger readers, I enjoy having them. I also have a lot of the Dear America books. I love any books about the olden days and history.
I LOVED reading the Dear America books when I was in elementary school. I would always buy them at the book fair. And that Ergobaby was an absolute steal! I own 2 of them (plus a doll one 😁), and they come in so handy. They hold a child up to about 40 lbs I believe, and honestly my 6 year old just hit that weight within the last year lol not that I'm big enough to really carry a child that size, but my husband can handle it.
Great finds! The Dear/My America books are great and a neat way to learn about history or historical figures.. Our girls read them. There are some for boys as well. 'Our' America maybe??
My 10 month old is having a very similar time to what you’ve described for Ivy. The last 2 days I’ve legit been carrying him on my back in that exact carrier while I cook dinner. It works like a dream (except for him being 23 lbs, hah!)
I didn’t know about Goodwill had Outlet stores! I found one by looking it up nearest one to me so I’ll be going this week! Thanks for sharing about this!
I have been loving your channel for a little while now! I love to thrift and love going with you on your bargain hunts when I've got too much to do to go myself lol. Anyways, that ergo baby carrier is fantastic. I picked one up at my thrift store also for around $15 and it has saved my back with my kiddos. I have a 25lb 2yr old boy and 5month 15lb girl. I've worn it with both of them while going through the airports and it's made traveling so much easier. Love your channel and can't wait to watch part 2!
My daughter loved the Dear America books!!! They have tons of them and they are great history books!!! They also have stories from ancient history like Cleopatra in Egypt. Hope you can find more!!
Love the small gold frame! The Oshkosh coveralls and carrier were great finds. You always find the best stuff! I'm going to have to make a trip to the Goodwill outlet store. It's about an hour away, but may be worth going. Glad you had such a good time on vacation. Vacations are very tiring.
Aww seeing that ergo brought back memories ❤️ I had that same one and loved it. You got a great bargain. I think mine around 12 years ago was like 100 bucks.

Oh girl, I am interested in it all! Bring on all the clothes and home goods
😆 DITTO!
Good! I'm glad!
So many good finds! I am a sucker for gold frames and that smaller one you found is gorgeous!
I always love what you find at the bins!! Those American girl paper dolls would have made my life when I was your girls’ age. They are so lucky!
They destroyed them, but they were delighted while they did it!
@@KristenHoffman and that is so worth it!

I loved the Dear America books as a tween 💛 probably why I love historical fiction as an adult!

Dear America books were always my favorite growing up!! Love seeing all of your amazing finds!!
