@bradwilliams1691 I love this statement because it is wrong. Yet people proudly quote it like it is profound. When it boils down to it, humans will operate in patterns related to its nature. You can't contradict it with historical statements. The effectiveness usually boils down to how recent it was. Because the truth is that humans won't truly deny anything they haven't yet learned personally.

Steve is a fab actor playing Jimmy Saville couldn't of been easy at all t h
he did it before, hes done a top voice impression but not as authentic as rob colvill does. also, steve coogan is obviously a very empathetic guy, and you can tell he just cant deliver the robotic absolute inhuman coldness of jimmy. then again who can, the man was a genius level psychopath.
Honestly, playing Jimmy Savile is like playing Adolf Hitler: it looks offensive but it has to be done for the purpose of dramatisation.
He sounds like Steve Coogan.
It is
0:07 Worst mobile phone acting ever. 😂
I. Thought Mr coogan was Alan partridge boy o boy was l wrong the man is a Burton Olivier Brando wow.
Phwooooooar......man's a Burton, Olivier, even Brando now.......phwoooooar.......what an epic performance.....goodbye Alan Partridge, welcome Marlon
Coogan nailed this role indeed! Best series from 2023.
ITV made the show but BBC broadcast it? pretty odd! was watching it but when they said some of the characters and scenarios were created for dramatic effect i didn't bother with it
Not sure why you'd drop it - These kind of programs often replace several real people for 1 collective character - The "wordsmith" portrays numerous writers that tried an exposee on Savile, for example.
I imagine it was a considered move to commission its production externally, since it would otherwise have been easier for critics to accuse the Corporation of marking its own homework.
Fantastic drama.
he were loyal to the duchess il say that
And he humped her corpse.
Will He do Rolf next...then Gary...then.......

Then Freddie Starr
@@OfficerFredPowell Freddie Starr did nowt. I hope you're never falsely accused of such things.

Did they employ a black actor for Jimmy’s mother? The BBC need to increase those ESG quotas in a docu-drama of course hahaa!
She doesn't look black but the woke BBC don't like white people on TV
The white and black minstral show?😊
@@michaelsandford1015pathetic untrue comment, grow up
If you bothered to pay attention, you'd see they didn't
If you actually looked and watched the series you'd know Jimmy's mother was white
need more uploads i live i asia cant see tbe whole episode
He was a wrong un. You kind of knew it even though you didn’t know it. But everything in this tv drama was completely fabricated.
Yes,e en worse in real life!! Evil man
It's not fabricated it is based on extensive witness statements
Yes,I know,he was very creepy, evil man
No it's not fabricated most of it was made with help from victims to portray it as accurately as possible
does anyone feel that Jimmy and his mom were incestuous?
once she died
How did he have many women on TOTP's? Guees they found his celebrity status and wealth attractive.
Brilliant
Does anyone know the name of the rechid organ music in this scene...??
It's probably by Showaddywaddy
Looking for it as well. It's great though innit?

Its the theme from return of the saint
BBC drama at its best and showed how long this despicable/sick man was allowed to do what he liked whilst keeping close to those in power. I hoped those victim's involved in the drama have some solace that true facts have been shown and that this must never be repeated.
I am surprised they were not in the same grave side by side
He thinks he so clever but many knew what he was doing. He thinks he got away with it but in reality he didn't he just fooled himself thinking know one knew.
Well whether folks knew or not he was never charged or sentenced for his crimes so clearly in this world of ours he did get away with it. That said, he will stand before the Lord almighty and answer for his crimes then.
He knew that plenty of people knew what he was ...it was the fact he knew theyd all protect him that enabled him to carry on abusing
Who actually feels bad for Jimmy Savile for losing his mother
👇
No one
Absolutely no reason for this to be made, we all know he was vile why do I need to remember him?
No need for you to watch it then?
whitewashing by the BBC. "look we had no choice he coerced and manipulated us, our old bosses were not as woke as we are today AND WE CAN EARN A POUND NOTE WHILE WE'RE AT IT THANKS FOR PAYING YOUR TV LICENCE FEE" - they knew what they had with him back then, they know now! only top ratings with saint james.
Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.
True crime is very popular. The great news is you don't have to watch it
@bradwilliams1691 I love this statement because it is wrong. Yet people proudly quote it like it is profound. When it boils down to it, humans will operate in patterns related to its nature. You can't contradict it with historical statements. The effectiveness usually boils down to how recent it was. Because the truth is that humans won't truly deny anything they haven't yet learned personally.
In the clear and straight back out noncing.
whats the name of the girl
victim 971
it's the mother that abused him - he sought revenge on everyone else
She knew he was a wrong ‘un.
no, she created the wrong'un@@robertstraw9881
Possibly, yes. Or it could have been his father, or someone else, and she didn't act, or some combination of it all. It's clear her lack of outward affection or positive reinforcement had an emotionally damaging affect on him which twisted him inside, we'll never know.
i'd say she sexually abused him @@belykwater5601
Abuse certainly ran in the family. I believe one of his brothers and a nephew were also abusers.
How's about that then.
Now then as it happens guys and gals
And what's the point of digging him up and creating him he's still dead uuuuuuuuu uuuuuu uuuuuuuuu
The look of Jimmy Savile, the voice of Tommy Saxendale!

have you even seen it? it doesn’t glorify savile it shows him as the absolute beast he was, unless you’re trying to defend him lol
@@jambo28This show is broadcast by the BBC themselves. That's like the Nazi party making a movie about the holocaust
@diesemautokerl2181 It was made by ITV. So it would more like the Nazis showing a movie made by the Allies

Ahaaaa! Sorry, I mean, now then, now then.
how eager the british were to give their children to a G list celebrity.
But he wasn’t a G list celebrity. He was one of the biggest stars in this country and very well loved. That’s what made the truth so much more shocking.
This comment is xenophobic, it's completely unfair to judge an entire country for the action's of 1 monster.
Back then celebrity's on TV was veiw as gods they couldn't do no wrong
Its scary isnt it!!
Did you see the Neverland doc? Those parents were just as eager to give their kids to Michael Jackson. And he was a global superstar, not just one country. Because they're celebrities, parents put their trust in them because they THINK they know them because they see them on tv. It's madness.
Ester rantzen new why she started child line on this is your life to save her future yet didn't say a word about the pedo nonce
Rantzen was as involved as much as Saville and she knew it thats why the bbc started child line to distract from the fact can't have her being targeted can we being Jewish and all , who by the way are paying for the white replacement with our money they get off us , you couldn't make it up
Glorifying an evil.soul
How is it possibly glorifying him, such a ridiculous comment.
That seems a bit of a stretch and that's putting it lightly. It explores the person, it doesn't condone their actions, does not even come close.
Women liked him for his money and status. 💀
He didn’t want women , he took inexperienced girls. Vile that some people can hear and see the truth but not believe.
I dont think this story is good as entertainment. Its disgraceful and shouldnt have been made let alone shown . Its the past we dont want to see .its morbid to think of anybody that is evan interested in this pervert life .. shame on this film maker
I think that had this series been produced for Netflix there would be less of a problem. The fact that it was made for the BBC is the major issue - as that organisation was complicit/neglectful in allowing Saville to go unpunished in his lifetime.
Weird world view.
I managed about 5 minutes and had to turn it off.
Who's we?? you speak for yourself
It's a way for the BBC to profit from Saville's crimes
He wer a good grafter .
Why would you want to play him, something disturbing about this
I think it was brave of him to take the role, presumably most actors would want nothing to do with it.
Brilliant performance from Steve Coogan. You really start to feel quite sorry for Jimmy by the end
Seriously?! You felt bad for a serial sex offender that never had to answer for his crimes? Your sorrow should be for the survivors of such horrific behaviour.
@@leewright1 no , not serious !
Coogan is a creep so was perfectly typecast.
