    I do have to say, from shooting Olympic recurve. We use Mediterranean draw, and are trained to "drop the bow" upon release. And I have brought that idea and a bit hav "Khatra" (I probably miss spelled that) into traditional shooting. It's natural tension held in your body and allowing it to move you is part of a shots follow through. You are almost never going to move faster than that arrow leaving your bow.

      Yes but the bow is dropped well after the shot has left the bow as I alluded to in the video.

      stabilizer helps.

    As a kid, one of my native american archery teachers, would hold a bowie knife under my bow arm as a drill to not drop my bow arm until the arrows hit my target.
