Mark talks about how breaking that one game is oddly scary, funnily enough, going out of bounds in a VR game is one of the most terrifying things I've ever experienced. It might just be because I have a phobia of seemingly infinitely large spaces, like ocean depths and space, but whenever it happened I couldn't help but imagine an unfathomably large creature appearing from the endless void, and would take off the headset almost panting.
what you felt when that happened is interestingly similar to how i feel when i see horrifying oceans, even in video games, especially ones where the ocean contains hostile and horrific creatures, like ARK, Subnautica, and Sea of Thieves. My one and only phobia covers most of the world. R.I.P ;-; no but one time in Sea of Thieves I got shot out of a cannon bc I thought it'd be funny, but I went _straight down_ into the abyss. I legit started screaming a little at the horrific, infinite depths below my character and ripped my headset off, threw my controller and turned away, waiting to drown so I could respawn and not have to look at that anymore. Immersion is a great factor, and I can immerse myself in anything-- not a great skill when dealing with one's phobia
I find breaking any kind of game scary! Glitching through stuff makes me anxious... And the fact that what happens out of bounds is completely uncharted, unscripted and untested makes it instantly feel eerie. Glitching through stuff in VR is the worst! First time it happened I just closed my eyes, curled up in a ball and started asking for help to get the headset off me... Then played the rest of the game terrified of intersecting with any other object.
I love the fact that the game that has germain in it (forgot the name and im too lazy to go back lol) warns the player that it includes body horror and traumatic experiences and tells the player how to exit the game if they get overwhelmed
You know, I can’t tell if Mark would be the first one to die in a horror movie, the guy who explains the way the antagonist works to the other characters, or the only survivor. It feels like he could be any of those.
He would be the one to die in the dumbest, most painful way. Because he's not a masochist, he just wants to see if his body can take it. And at some point it just can't XD
I think if I could choose anyone to be a companion during a horror scenario it would be Mark. He's either gonna big brain you out of there or distract whatever is chasing you long enough for you to escape 😂
All three, in this order: he explains what he's figured out, he seems to be dragged off and killed, but he actually survives off-screen and is the only one to truly get away.
This is the kind of game with graphics that are “absolutely disgusting and nightmarish” but actually mean it as a compliment to the developer. Absolutely amazing graphics
@@Greywander87 its gonna be easy once u have the patterns of attack on point yoyo, melee make sure u have a ton of buff pot especially iron skin, and a long arse platform then u good works for all modes heh
@@striked85 It's not so much the difficult that has kept me from finishing the game, moreso that I seem to seldom make it to hardmode due to wanting to make sure everything is ready first. That means isolating my jungle so it doesn't get swallowed by the Corruption/Crimson, and probably digging extra hellavators to help contain Corruption/Crimson spread. And since I've been playing Journey Mode for the collectathon aspect, that usually means researching every pre-hardmode item, especially the ones that become unobtainable in hardmode. Also things like getting a dryad banner, since dryads spawn less often in hardmode. In other words, I'm basically just a perfectionist who won't move forward until everything is ready, and it usually just doesn't get to that point before I eventually stop playing. I think I've only actually made it to hardmode a few times before for that exact reason. I do remember assembling the ankh shield at least once, though. But yeah, I'm actually a bit hyped to start another playthrough once the new update drops.

You sound like you would *love* Subnautica. (v:
what you felt when that happened is interestingly similar to how i feel when i see horrifying oceans, even in video games, especially ones where the ocean contains hostile and horrific creatures, like ARK, Subnautica, and Sea of Thieves. My one and only phobia covers most of the world. R.I.P ;-;
no but one time in Sea of Thieves I got shot out of a cannon bc I thought it'd be funny, but I went _straight down_ into the abyss.
I have a fear of high ceilings, it feels like I’m gonna fly up at 50 mph if I look directly up.

As a migraine sufferer, I just have to say how much I appreciate that Mark and Lixian NEVER fail to give a flashing lights warning. Thank you!!!
The ending when Mark just SCREAMS as soon as he hears "pizza" is such a mood. I also love how Lixian put his self in there still too. Lol
The ending was great 😂

Mark:”AAAAAHHHHH”
That was too funny. Even Lixian was confused.

The scariest ending of them all: no jumpscare, pure confusion, and just Amy saying “Pizza”
Terrifying XD
I love the fact that the game that has germain in it (forgot the name and im too lazy to go back lol) warns the player that it includes body horror and traumatic experiences and tells the player how to exit the game if they get overwhelmed
The scariest thing about the noodle game was the layout of that house. So much wasted space.
It was the same layout from the first episode of fears to fathom
😂
You know, I can’t tell if Mark would be the first one to die in a horror movie, the guy who explains the way the antagonist works to the other characters, or the only survivor. It feels like he could be any of those.
Easy, he would just play every character. Now THAT is what I would like to see. "In a Horror Game with Markiplier"
Or, he'd be the culprit
He would be the one to die in the dumbest, most painful way. Because he's not a masochist, he just wants to see if his body can take it. And at some point it just can't XD
I think if I could choose anyone to be a companion during a horror scenario it would be Mark. He's either gonna big brain you out of there or distract whatever is chasing you long enough for you to escape 😂
All three, in this order: he explains what he's figured out, he seems to be dragged off and killed, but he actually survives off-screen and is the only one to truly get away.
21:00 it is astounding how often Mark manages to break games in his casual playthroughs
The best part is he's done it so many times, and each time he is literally just playing the game.

@@nytomeiaguren6919 i commend you for suggesting fishron first🤣 possible on normal but higher? nah

For anyone who is unaware of the meaning of word “Cattywampus” such as myself,(and yes, it is a real word), here’s the definition for you. Cattywampus is a variant of catawampus, another example of grand 19th century American slang. In addition to “askew” catawampus may refer to “an imaginary fierce wild animal,” or may mean “savage, destructive.”

This is such an oddly comforting series. Watching mark play these indie horror games is very cathartic
Big respect for Mark and Lixian making sure to have the viewer aware when the flashing lights is coming and when it's okay to look back. And ofc to the game developers for putting it there in the beginning. A lot of game developers and cc won't even bother to put a warning sign it in their titles
