This game got me through my dad’s funeral and having to arrange everything for it. Shovel knight is a special damn game. Definitely 10/10 perfection

I played this one first and it ruined me for all the other SK games. It has no business being so damn good. It's honestly one of my top platformers for Switch. It really captures the retro vibe while adding some modern ideas. Made me feel like I was back in 1994 for a minute.
You know what game I'd kill to see Ryu play?
Hades. 10/10 game.

Spectre of Torment is my favorite Shovel Knight game too. It's difficult to rank all 4, but I'd probably say:
Spectre > King > Shovel > Plague
Plague is great it’s just that most players have a skill issue
The version of shovel knight I liked the best. Certainly a lot more accessible than plague.

There's a game called Dead Cells. It's a rogue-like platformer with runes, and you have to try to make to the last boss in one run. Think you'll like it.

I would say Enter the Gungeon is the most underrated gem in the realm of rogue likes…a ton of items, on point humor, very fun to play. I’ve put more time in it than any other rogue like, and no one talks about it.

specter of torment might be worth to play new game+ on. where the other shovel knight campaigns new game + are basically the same but with realtively less health, specter of torment basically turns all the levels in mini speedrun challenges

Bosses all seem kinda trivial. Where's the Margit, the Fell Knight?
It's not that the bosses are easy per say. Spectre Knight has arguably the best sub weapons that make every boss, with a few exceptions, feel trivialized. Things like the will skull also allow for infinite healing. Plus you gain darkness for even hitting enemies, so again, infinite sub weapons and healing.
@@l.n.3372 Even without darkness abilities; the ability to repeatedly air dash pogo on the the bosses made the fights look pretty trivial.

While that's true, if you watch speed run of this game, you'd see that the dash slash is actually the most inefficient way to fight lol. The curios are hella broken in this game, especially the upgraded bounding soul and the upgraded skeleton friend. Combine that with the curio that allows you to teleport to enemies for super easy platforming. Plus the hover ability too. Plus the will skull for infinite healing, as mentioned above already. And if that wasn't enough, you can slow down enemies with the clock, and even skateboard on the ground with the rail mail armor. Spectre Knight is legit broken :P
Where is plague knight?
Spectra knight > shovel knight. Sorry not sorry.
