I have Moon in Taurus and when I thought about the fact why it is exalted in Taurus I came to the conclusion that the nature of the Moon is to be in motion (e-motion). Since Taurus is a fixed sign, it can become too rigid, stubborn and inflexible. But since the moon is always in motion, it is a perfect combination between mobility and steadiness. I met quite a few men with Mars in Taurus. These men where also very steady, but they were too rigid and too stubborn up to the point it became (self-)destructive. There is a huge difference between being stubborn and being consequent. The Moon in Taurus teaches us this difference very well.
i never liked so much my moon in taurus... i thought it was a sign too materialistic, too down to earth... but your interpretation it makes me understand it in a completely different way, it feels good... i feel good😌💕🌺
The caveat you added at the end of the video regarding any other aspects etc on the Moon when it is exalted in Taurus is very helpful in understanding how the exaltation appears. Thank you.
I love that your interpretations are grounded in symbol aesthetics. So many people lose the thread of wisdom by attempting to derive astronomical reasoning from the exaltation of the planets; I find your description of the harmony vs dissonance of subtle tones in the planet & its exaltation sign brings to light the inherent bonds between the symbols, without getting caught up in the astronomical nitty-gritty. In other words, you give us the keys to intuit that psychedelic wisdom ourselves. Bravo!
this was like, the most mind blowing thing ive had the luck to take in in a long while. Beautiful over all i love the 'trees' for the planets or signs. youre awesome. thank you for doing this

Very nicely explained ...no1 can teach basics btr than u in the world ...neither PVR sir nor Sanjay rath sir nor Pai team ...very radically explained fundamental :)
very good...my moon is in hasta in d1. It is in taurus in navamsa but its one of my weakest planets per shadbala, i guess because it is aspected by saturn and venus is debilitated. horoscopes are complicated things!
Nice explanation! :) Can we interpret the concepts of exaltation for the moon across all degrees of the sign ? I remember reading some where that only at a particular degree the exaltation will truly come into play. Is that still valid in the Sayana Ayanamsa too ?
@Vic Di'Cara: Hi I have sun and ascendant (both) in Aries, however I moon in Taurus. Now I'm just curious to know what challenges one may face with having moon in taurus whilst having venus in aries?
I have dated a moon in taurus, a good friend has this and my current boyfriend has this placement. I was cross watching and had a question about my chart? I have moon conjunct venus in the first house and have seen videos where it is described as a bad thing. Here you discuss them being good together. The video I watched talks about the noon taking away from venus because it's receptive. Any thoughts on this?
A few months back I got the readings of my Son's chart done by you. Today after watching this video now only I get some understanding of What Moon in Taurus means? I just wonder if nakshatra associated with the planets can be incoeporated simultaneously! Thanks a bunch for such a comprehensive video.
Thank you. Nakshatra are another consideration, like the house of the moon. One day I will do videos explaining how to layer multiple considerations. It's not much different from the dissonance and harmony paradigm I use in this video (when you are dealing with layers on a single planet).
What a beautiful placement! Question for Vic: In terms of exaltation, does something similar happen with houses? For example, are there certain houses Venus or the Moon would feel 'exalted' or 'at home' vs uncomfortable. Or is this just for the signs that planets reside in?
There are general principles. And yes there are particular houses that give boosts to particular planets. The general principles are that 3 and 6 are good for malefics, not benefics. 4 and 7 are very bad for malefics. 10 and 11 are good for anyone. As for particulars... this is called Dig Bala. Jupiter and Mercury get a boost the closer they are to the 1st house, Saturn to the 7th. Sun and Mars to the 10th and Venus and Moon to the 4th.
Algol isn't, to my knowledge, a significant star amongst Nakshatra, unless I am wrongly informed (which is quite possible, since the sources are not always clear). In any case it seems to coincide somewhat with Bharani and Bharani's nature. Yet at 26° we are in Krittika, not bharani. I think if you feel you are bereft of these qualities, you may want to re-evaluate, or if you are confident you should look at other things affecting your moon, and other things in your chart - to explain how the typical backbone interpretation doesn't play out so well in a given case.
Moon 🌝 Being in Taurus in the 4th house for an Aquarius ascendent.... Q1🛑 Would that give the moon in Taurus a fixed nature or a cardinal nature? Q2🛑 How will this specific character of the moon change whilst the sun aspects it from the 10th in Scorpio, will the sun continue to empower the moon cardinally or in afixed style?
Taurus is fixed in nature because it is the second sign in its solstice quarter. Every second sign in every solstice quarter is fixed. "Fixed" means "not changing" and these signs have this nature because the while the Sun is in them it does not change its direction or speed. You said the moon symbolizes what you look like since it represents the mother in a big way, how then do we explain siblings with different moon signs? Interestingly, I have noticed siblings sharing ascendants. My brother and I both have aquarius ascendant. I have also noticed the moon sign being the mothers sun sign VERY frequently. My brothers moon is virgo, my mums sun is virgo. Another friend who's mother is cancerian has cancer moon. Many such examples.
There is always more than one thing to effect anything. Appearance is affected by many things. Moon is one. Moon especially affects the "kapha" quality (which you will notice in "vitamin E" type things, hair, shine, eye wetness, nails). Besides the Moon, appearance is strongly affected by the ascendant and the lord of the 1st house.
