Suzuki SWIFT 2022 Review in Pakistan / Should you buy Swift GLX CVT?

- Suzuki has just launched the new Suzuki Swift in Pakistan. The outgoing generation of Suzuki Swift was sold for almost 12 years in Pakistan. With the latest generation of Suzuki Swift, there has been a significant increase in it's features and technology. To start with, New Swift is offered with a 1.2L Petrol engine that is mated to either a manual or CVT transmission. This has increased it's fuel efficiency and performance. During our 0-100 KM/H test, we were surprised to see that the new Swift achieved 100 KM/H in just 11 seconds. The outgoing automatic Swift was around 2 seconds slower than this.
In terms of features, Suzuki Pakistan has offered standard cruise control, auto retracting side mirrors, traction control, Hill start assist and 6 Airbags. It has also received all round LED lights with halogen fog lamps. Overall, this has been a major shift from the previous gen Swift.
Swift 2022, is offered in 3 variants i.e. Swift GL, Swift GL CVT, Swift GLX CVT. The price of the top spec Swift GLX CVT is around 3.3 Million PKR (ex-factory), which has increased from the introductory price of 2.93 Million PKR.
In this review, we also had the chance to meet with the car owner to share his experience with the new Swift so far.

سوزوکی نے حال ہی میں پاکستان میں نئی سوزوکی سوئفٹ لانچ کی ہے۔ سوزوکی سوئفٹ کی سبکدوش ہونے والی جنریشن پاکستان میں تقریباً 12 سال تک فروخت ہوتی رہی۔ سوزوکی سوئفٹ کی جدید ترین جنریشن کے ساتھ، اس کے فیچرز اور ٹیکنالوجی میں نمایاں اضافہ ہوا ہے۔ شروع کرنے کے لیے، نئی سوئفٹ کو 1.2L پیٹرول انجن کے ساتھ پیش کیا جاتا ہے جو یا تو دستی یا CVT ٹرانسمیشن کے ساتھ ملایا جاتا ہے۔ اس سے اس کی ایندھن کی کارکردگی اور کارکردگی میں اضافہ ہوا ہے۔ ہمارے 0-100 KM/H ٹیسٹ کے دوران، ہمیں یہ دیکھ کر حیرت ہوئی کہ نئی سوئفٹ نے صرف 11 سیکنڈ میں 100 KM/H کی رفتار حاصل کی۔ باہر جانے والی خودکار سوئفٹ اس سے تقریباً 2 سیکنڈ سست تھی۔
خصوصیات کے لحاظ سے، سوزوکی پاکستان نے کروز کنٹرول، آٹو ریٹریکٹنگ سائیڈ مررز، ٹریکشن کنٹرول، ہل اسٹارٹ اسسٹ اور 6 ایئر بیگز پیش کیے ہیں۔ اس نے ہالوجن فوگ لیمپ کے ساتھ آل راؤنڈ ایل ای ڈی لائٹس بھی حاصل کی ہیں۔ مجموعی طور پر، یہ پچھلی جین سوئفٹ سے ایک بڑی تبدیلی رہی ہے۔

how many gears in this cvt? what about the suspension as compare to Yaris
I am from Amritsar Punjab,and own Swift, fully satisfied with its performance.
Way more informative than pakwheels reviews imo. I wish you guys talked more about the suspension but other than that, the review was excellent. I'm so happy you guys talked about the flaws such as the trunk finish, engine bay shielding and also measuring cabin noises. Brilliant review. Thank you

Exactly,dont know why but they dont touch the suspension part,maybe because islamabad doesn't really have rough roads,idk,but they should, otherwise great reviews
perfect analysis, if trunk is not a must for someone, then this is a total package. Full option Yaris or City are expensive than this (though they are 1500cc too), but still, the car looks exciting and has all the practical features one could want in a car.
Yaris especially feels just like a point A to point B traveler , nothing exciting about it... this however has some joy to offer as well : )

Love your reviews man, over any other Pakistani youtube car reviewer. You dont try to follow that typical pakwheelish flow to review a car but hit the right notes and point out some very interesting stuff which normal reviews otherwise look over.

Thank you for highlighting the critical point of this car at 17:45 That needs to be known, that can be dangerous, especially on underdeveloped roads which have lots of small stones which can easily scratch and penetrate the engine. Now I see, it’s definitely not for where I live lol because the roads here are khair khairiyat.

Good review but you should have mentioned the quality of plastics used. It’s quite bad. The older swift had better plastic quality in the interior.

Did you ask them why every Swift has mismatched rim direction? I guess they are importing only one side rims and installing them to save cost and no one is noticing this huge flaw! In this video, the correct rim direction is on the passenger side wheels. The driver side rims are facing backwards.

There was suspension issue in glx as it produces weird sounds which I drove and it was only 10k driven..also hard braking at 100kmph is not upto the mark
Would have appreciated a more in depth discussion on fuel average as fuel prices are heading towards 200 rs. Whats the actual fuel avg calculated manually & digitally inside city with ac? what I have heard is that its around 12-13 for some people.

The sale of this vehicle has jumped in last few months.
Almost selling 230+ units every months that is mainly because of low price tag.
As soon as the existing stock is sold the price will increase
So the review by Pakweels for the longest driven vehicle will help in buying decision for those who are considering it as an option as compared to Chinese Oshan x7, Tiggo etc
On the long term the vehicle reliability is bigger factory than few additional features that may not be very practical on day to day use

Great car but 6-7 months delivery time is excessive and makes this otherwise good video a teaser.
No Doubt Suzuki has Improved in Swift category but keeping the Price tag i will say Absolutely NOT buying in 3+ Million Price tag. its better to buy Nissan Note or Honda Fit in this Category. Vitz & Passo are also good option in this Price tag which comes with a lot of Features aswell .

This is much batter than Yaris, City.
Its considered a "hot hatch" in Europe due to power to weight ratio of the hatch variant that is sold there. As your video shows 11 seconds to sixty isn't "hot" even by Pakistani standards. Alsvin does the same time. So what exactly does this offer? Not much.
The test was done at 46'c. I'm sure the car will perform better in normal weather.

Yes, it was tested in S mode, it’s indication is at the top part which isn’t fully in the frame.
