  • The DAJA DJ6 was the cheapest high rated Laser Engraver on AliExpress I could find at the time I was looking for it.
    Still quite expensive in my eyes but as it goes for these gadgets it was a bargain but would it actually work?
    Here is my review of the product which I bought with my own money and I have no affiliation with the brand or AliExpress.
    So what I'm saying is my opinion.

    I've had this machine for over a year and it always amazes me when people do a review without learning how to use it first. The computer software is quite good, as I don't bother with phone apps- It's also not a "laser printer." The power limitation of a low end laser like this determines what materials it can engrave. Honestly, trying to do acrylic is mostly a waste of time and you'd need a CO2 laser to really work with it. Same for almost any metal. Take a look at 40 watt CO2 lasers, just avoid the overpriced Glowforge- there are far better machines for far less that use common software. This machine is SO limited, but it's also very inexpensive. I haven't used mine since I first played with it, as I have no use for burning things into little pieces of wood... but will be experimenting with composites soon.

    • @UnboundedArtandCrafts
      @UnboundedArtandCrafts  5 месяцев назад +4

      The reason for doing a straight out of the box review like this without testing the machine first is to show what most people will do when they get it. And using the phone instead of the computer is what makes it a bit more user friendly.
      And in this case I am not a professional, I do not intend to make money with this machine. It's a hobby and a fun tool to have and to make gifts and crafts with.
      The reason I show the different materials is to inform others about what it can and can't do. If you read my comments to others you will hear me tell them to do the research or to just buy a stronger/different type of machine.
      The words I use to describe what it does are what the manufacturer puts in their advertisement to us consumers. Please do not hold me accountable for making mistakes, also English isn't my first language.
      All I want to do is show others what they get when they buy it so they don't spend their money on a machine that promised the world but didn't deliver.
      It's fine for what I need but I always tell the truth to my followers and help them where I can.

      I just received mine and with the very limited instructional material included with the unit, I look for videos to provide what information is available, good or bad. If you have something informative and useful to pass along to us newbies please take some time and pass it along; if you don’t have anything to offer other than some needless criticism of someone else’s efforts then I suggest you move along and spend your time on something more constructive.

    • @UnboundedArtandCrafts
      @UnboundedArtandCrafts  5 месяцев назад

      @@mramigo098 I hope it will work for what you bought it for. If you run into any issues I will try to help you if I can. One tip I can give you straight away is to use mostly line art in black and white. This will give the best results. The focus of the laser is also very important, get the dot as small as you can. When you do multiple passes make sure you stick your project down and leave the machine untouched or it might shift the design. And lastly don't rush, it's not that powerful so it needs time.

      Hi @Trenalovesjoshua4361
      Well that depends on what you bought it for. If it's just a hobby thing it works just fine on most material if you use the right settings and focus point.
      I like to use it to make personalized gifts for friends and family. For example I made a leather keychain with the picture of her dog and horse engraved into the leather. Worked amazing just took some time (and don't do it inside as the smell of burning leather isn't great). And for my niece I made a wooden birthday gift tag. The design was bigger than the area it could engrave so I just did it in pieces and made sure I lined it up as best as I could. So for me it works just fine.

    Such dangerous devices should not to be sold to the public, they should not even exist. Laser engravers and 3D printers are just two of mankind's horrible inventions. We are shown how useful they are, how art can be made with them or how easy it is now to do what would have been much more difficult. Yes, but art must be man's, not the machine's, the effort must be his, not the machine's. When only the technical functionality of a thing is followed, then it could be made enterely by machine, but not when it comes to art. The art created by the machine reach perfection and impress many, but there will still be enough who will not be interested in it. A creator of art objects can also use a lathe or something similar, but these represent the maximum compromise that can be made. Devices like the one presented go far beyond this compromise.

      To combat this you could add some blue or purple dye.
