- What's Blooming in July in My Carolina Garden, you ask? I'm happy to answer that question with a tour of all the flowers blooming so beautifully all around my yard!
It's been a tough time in My Carolina Garden lately because our heat index has been over 100 degrees, and we've gotten very little rainfall. The flowers you see blooming are a testament to heat & drought tolerance!!!! My garden is still looking great, despite the less than ideal weather.
My name is Nicole Roggeman and My Carolina Garden is in zone 8 in coastal North Carolina. I have coneflowers, tropical flowers, and multiple flower beds to see. If you love gardening ideas, garden tours, blooming flowers, gardening on a budget and more, stick with me!!
Thank you for Sharing your garden lovely blooming flowers 😎😎♥♥🌹
I haven't noticed loosestrife in ages! How pretty!
@patsampson6990 you're right, it IS pretty, and I had never heard of it before (clearly lol) 😅
You're gardens are spectacular! My favorite is the tropical garden. You have inspired me to turn a section of my garden into a tropical garden.
@sharonhart1232 this message makes me so happy!!! To have inspired you in that way touches my heart and I hope you can share pics of your tropical garden in the future! 🌺❤️

@@michellemilot7632 Awe, thank you so much for this sweet message! Means a lot to me! ❤ As for your question about Arizona, I'm not quite sure. I would think it'd depend a lot on what area you're in. But yes, I know the blanket flowers are amazing for both of us!! Have a great day!!

I love your garden. And your pathway. I think I’m going to that in my backyard. Where I can’t plant.
@mrsmango76 thank you very much! I love the pathway idea, it adds a touch to your garden that not everyone has ❤️
You made a gorgeous garden, Nicole👍
@@goctalis3064 Thank you!!! ❤️🌺😁
You brought up a good point today, and that is being able to see pod of color out the back patio door and windows! Since it’s so hot now and we’re not really going out there much, it’s wonderful to be able to still see colorful things outside!
@@summerofstacey6676 Gosh, that's the truth! We want to be able to enjoy our gardens from inside if we can! 😁❤️

I’ve had loosestrife for years and it’s never become invasive and it’s one of the plants that always have pollinates on it. I look forward to watching this plant flower every year.beautiful garden…
@kfplumbline thank you so much - I'm thrilled to hear that about loosestrife! It looks beautiful 💜 Have a great weekend!
Beautiful garden Nicole. I just love all the bright colors & textures.
@margievaughan2456 thanks very much! It's such a wonder when things come together. 🌺😊
Thanks for showing the July blooms. Wow!! Everything is doing well. The dahlias are gorgeous. I have a little envy. See you next time. I enjoy watching.
@lajoyceneafus3021 thank you so much for your kindness. I often find myself feeling envious seeing other people's gardens ❤️ Part of our love for it, I suppose. See you next time.
More on how to overwinter diplodenia and mandevilla please
I just bring them inside, honestly. I've done it both in my house as well as in the greenhouse. In the house, no blooms during the winter, but it stays green with no leaf loss. In the greenhouse I had blooms all winter!

Does your planter head have drainage hole? Your garden is very colorful and beautiful!!!
@doreen9838 great question, and I don't know! The well area for soil is quite large, but I'm thinking no drainage hole 🤔 Thanks so much for your message!! 💚
I love love love your pool gardens. Have you tried tucking persian shield into the shady bits? It is a beauty under my bananas
Thank you, thank you! It's funny you say that because I've looked at persian shield the last few times in the garden center but just haven't gotten it. It's gorgeous though! 🤩
So beautiful! It's funny that this dropped on such a rainy day after this long drought. How many inches have you ended up with?
@@marysumner335 I didn't get one rain drop until bedtime last night. I swear there is a dome over my neighborhood. 🤞we get ask the rain expected this weekend though. Have a great day! 💚
@@mycarolinagarden oh my! It has been raining at my house almost non-stop since 4:30 a.m. yesterday. I hope you get some today.
Does your head planter have drainage hole? Your garden is so colorful just beautiful!!!
I LOVE the Purple Heart! Did you say that and the cordyline are in a pot? Wow, such a stunner! The tigerlily is so unique. I love everything! Curious, do you use liquid fertilizer on a schedule or do you just amend your soil?
Yes, the purple heart and cordyline are in a pot 💜 You're so right about the tiger lily!! Looks like it's blooms are upside down! I use liquid fertilizer 😊
Great garden. Do you have to deadhead the blanket flower?
@@heather-annhoyte9606 thank you! YESSSSSS. So much deadheading to do with them 😬
Wow just stunning! How long did it take you to grow and arrange your garden? I just started mine but it is overwhelming planning where to plant what 😫
I've been working on this one for 8 years. You're right, it can be overwhelming!! One quote that has stuck with me, and I apply it to gardening, is this:
"Little by little, a little becomes a lot" 💚
