- Dozens of cops engage with a high speed police pursuit with a suspect caught hitting police cars. An officer attempts to slow the suspect's car down by throwing Stop Sticks onto it's pathway. Elsewhere, cops respond to a 911 hang up call and find two suspects shooting up drugs. The cops soon realise one requires urgent medical attention.
Real-life officers are followed by a camera crew, cinéma-vérité style, in a gritty up-close look at police work and the consequences of crime. It spawned a number of police-reality imitators.

Several years ago, I was with my dad visiting our native country of Sweden from the USA country of Sweden from the United States. We were taking the train from southern Sweden up to the capital of Stockholm, which is about a six hour ride total. We had a stop in Gothenburg, where we had to change trains. We were sitting on one of the benches in the station and a young lady was sitting in front of us working on her laptop, there was a dark-haired guy behind her. All of a sudden, he grabbed her laptop and took off. However. A guy sitting beside us, took off after him, wrestled him to the ground, grabbed the laptop, and gave it back to the lady. There are good Samaritans out there! That was incredible to see!
Who cares what does that story have anything to do with cops?

I agree 100 percent. By not pressing charges against the guy who took her 50 bucks, the thief will be motivated to do the same thing to someone else which might end in tragedy for the victim . That thief deserves to be in jail for the serious crime that he committed.

Restraining Orders do not work BUT they are necessary for criminal purposes!! It is a paper trail in court to go forward with prosecution!! I see now some states do the Restraining Orders automatically which is FABULOUS!!!! 👍

I was on a road trip once in Tn. on I-10. 3am, tooling along, look in the rearview and see lights of 20+ cars coming up behind me. I moved to the shoulder and watched a van go by..not speeding, just not stopping and all of those police following behind. Found out later he was shooting at them out his window. Holy Moly! 😳

Most cops you see, set it on one side and then pull it in front of the car with a rope of some sort. This guy is an OG. He just throws that son of a b**** right in front of the car.
It's different designs, the kind with the rope are newer. They're also more effective because after the suspect hits them, the cop can pull them out of the way so the pursuing cop cars don't also hit them. As you can hear him say, one of the cops also hit the sticks because once he throws them he loses control of them.

One of the other officers even said: that was an amazing throw whoever threw that" or something along those lines. And it was a great throw.

That money-theft case is why ABQ has gone downhill. People want to change the crime status there, but nobody wants to press charges, including the DAs and Judges they elect. Have a few friends on the force there on APD, and they've arrested car thieves at 7am, and re-arrested them for the same offense at 4pm because they got a slap on the wrist, a ticket they never pay, and get let go to re-offend 'because the jails are too crowded'. They have neutered APD so much that the state police have to come in to bust people because the mayor and governor want to give the criminals more rights than the taxpayers. Dealt with it for 4 years before we got sick of our things getting stolen/cars getting broken into/house getting broken into and vandalized, and moved to TX. Haven't had an issue since, because TX cops don't have to worry about upper levels of gov't neutering their ability to do their jobs.

I know this is old, and it's very apparent, but whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? She just berated this poor dude this entire time. She had some kind of power trip going on where she wanted to play judge jury and executioner. She didn't need to say those things to him, because she had absolutely zero proof besides he said she said situation that should have been taken to court before she said anything else. That's ridiculous.

It was a little old lady who probably shouldn't be driving due to her age. There was no damage to my car, just a little bit of white paint from her car. The Cop did ask if I wanted to press charges, and I said no because there was no damage, but I told him. I'd like for you to at least educate her that she can't do something like that with no damage or with damage.

Me: "However, I didn't see it physically happen. I am going off the Witnesses like you are. If I had seen it, and there was more damage then I'd press charges... Mainly the hit and run as well. Just Explain to her, that she needs to pay better attention."

Me: "It is what it is, accidents happen and I'm sure she's shaking and uneased by it. If she's old, then really she doesn't need more than what she has going on. Things happen. Her seeing you, and you lecturing her will be enough hopefully she'll remember."

Me: "Well, if it my car was damaged, I don't think I'd be so calm about it!"
