Oh my goodness. Wow that’s such a great story. I think moments attached to a watch is really for me where this mystery and draw is for me in the watch game. Meaning is everything. Merry Christmas Matt
Wow, what an absolute stunner of a couple. Happy to hear you helped your wife a ton through chemo. Then a lovely watch to cherish the occasion. Perfection.
The problem you have now guys, you have us invested. We need the sequel, where Lucian is doing the wrist check with his new watch(s) - well played everyone. Merry Christmas - and personally, i would have thrown in Laurent Ferrier in mix.
I think Lucien looked best in the VC. The idea he can change out the strap depending on what he’s doing means it can truly be an everyday watch that has the pop to also be a red carpet watch when needed. Great episode!
My milestone watch is the Grand Seiko SBGC231. I wore it for the first time on the day I earned my doctorate degree and proposed to my fiancé, who is the only reason I made it through graduate school in the first place. I use it with every patient I treat at work and it constantly reminds me of that beautiful day. Great episode today!
This was a great episode, I loved the conversation and Lucien’s descriptions my gosh. I feel like we’re vested in this purchase now, I’d love a follow up once Lucien has decided and purchased his watch.
Lucien and VC seems like a match made in heaven! He should definitely look into the rest of the collection as well - he will definitely have that *ahhhwww* angel moment on a bunch of their pieces!
I think the Patek fits what he initially described. Nothing too flashy, versatile for everyday and the red carpet, and name recognition enough for people to take him seriously in meetings. Imagine being the actor that roles up with a Patek instead of a standard modern Rolex or AP? Class.
I have two choices with the following reasons: 1. VC - An underrated member of the trinity, the most versatile and not something you see as much as a Patek or AP (obvious choices). 2. A.Lange - This to me is a watch that you'd wear not for others, but for yourself. The craftsmanship, the innovation, most might not recognize it and that's the point. Based on Lucien's story, personality and what he's looking for in a watch... that it being for him to enjoy and connect with rather than rub it in people's faces... I personally think VC is the best choice.
When I give watch advice, one of the questions I always ask is "is it important for you to be the first owner"/"does it matter if you buy new or used?" because, there is something special about being the first person to really wear a piece. I think, for Lucien, for what he's wanting his watch to say, wanting to be able to do with it: The Lange, or the AP works really well. If he wants something for the everyday as well, I don't know. He's so vibrant and alive. And, how do you encapsulate that joie de vivre and that drive? If he's comfortable in the Lange, I think the Lange is the choice. Because, I think that is a watch which is so particular, so singular in its experience, and its appearance that it really fits his desire to speak to his achievements, and to advocate for his excellence but it does it in a polite and humble way. He's not arrogant. He's proud - and he should be. If the AP is more comfortable to him, then that is also a definite option. And, in either case, if he hits close to retail, there is that budget space if he wants to settle into something a little more sporty. Something like an aftermarket Aquanaut would look really rather good on his wrist. My Milestone Watch Story: I had graduated from university. It had been a pretty difficult journey - for various reasons I had to school part time, it had taken 7 years, so forth. I was the first in my family to attend a university - though not the first to get a degree. And, beyond that, I was really starting to think about how I needed to mark my life and remember it. So I start looking at class rings. And, most of the "affordable" ones are too gaudy for my style. And the ones I like to look of are on the 2k-3k USD, solid gold, engraved line of things. I liked watches, I'd picked up a couple of solar powered analogue quartz ones - one Citizen and one Seiko - to keep time during exams, and I had an older Seiko 5 from high school - though the bracelet was busted. And I thought "2k-3k? Thats decent watch money.' So, in the run-up to graduating, I started looking around. I'd seen a picture of the Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope 100 Jahre Bauhaus - I loved the red date window, and the novel design of the display case back using the "windows" of an engraving of the Bauhaus building. So, the first place I look is Junghans. I get my heart set on a Meister Kalendar white dial in the gold PVD case. It's clean, professional, has a plain (read: engravable) case back, and an annual calendar all within my range from a well reviewed brand. Unfortunately, being in the US, trying to find a store to contact doesn't work through the Germany website. So I look up their US distributor's website - and the watch isn't there. I proceed to spend *5 months* of emailing, physically writing, calling, everything to total radio silence. I want to buy this watch! And, in this process, I start looking at watch journalism, watch youtube, watch forums. And my eye gets caught by an article about a watch company in Scotland who was releasing a new kind of enamel dial - something called Fume? What's that? So I read the article, and visit the company's website... and good golly miss molly it's in my price range! I sent one final email to Junghans. I was uncertain about buying from as small a watch brand as anOrdain. I send the email Monday morning (Schramberg time), and by late Thursday, nothing. I send anOrdain an email early Friday morning (Glasgow time) and by lunch I have a reply. After some back and forth - and a little agonizing over Payne's Grey, Plum, and Green - I put my order in. I'd noted they did engraving from the factory. I worked with Erlend via email to have my University crest engraved. It was the beginning of Covid, and they were incredibly communicative about work stoppages for staff safety, incredibly responsive to my particular requests and when I asked for status updates. It was a delight - a breeze. The watch took 5 - 6 months. Covid protocol and illness slowed delivery by 6 weeks (and I was proud to buy from people who cared about staff safety!) But the entire process was just a dream. I've seen that anOrdain now has a 2-year wait list - and I'm glad of their success. I'm even more glad I had an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of such a lovely company's success. If you're reading this Erlend, Morna, Nais and everyone else at anOrdain, thank you, and I hope you've had a lovely Christmas and New Years!
Has to be the VC overseas. Has the beauty and the flex of the AP, but greater subtly that watch nerds would truly appreciate compared to the AP. Also the versatility of the 3 different straps allows him to where it whenever or wherever and it bot go amiss. Truly the daddy of daddy watches.
As Adrian loves to say. 100% when I shot that thing you just look at it and go. Game over. I’m out that’s it. That’s art and functionality and design perfection in one hit. Wow. Merry Christmas.
Great video. Really enjoyed it. Seeing Lucien’s reasoning behind choosing a watch shows he already has a deeper understanding instead of just chasing a hype watch/brand which is great, because he’s more receptive to elegant, well made watches. He’s definitely leaning towards a sportier complicated watch. The VC was the best option that was offered to him. But if I may, I’d like to recommend the JLC Polaris perpetual calendar in stainless steel. Being that it comes with a rubber strap so it’ll make it a bit more casual. He seems to have a larger wrist that’ll support the 42mm case. It’s not too thick being just under 12mm and it’s extremely understated by being stainless steel from JLC. Gorgeous watch and really says “I get it” to true watch collectors. Loving the content!
Love all the options, the JLC Polaris Perpetual Calendar is I think right up there with the AP and the VC, not skeletonized but still, can be understated in stainless or a bit more of a statement in pink gold!
I had no clue who this guy was when you pushed this episode, and then my wife force-binged the entire new “Emily in Paris” season on me. Good guy & good actor!
I did not know who Lucien was before this but I loved watching the journey of the episode. I think the VC would work well for him again for the versatility of the straps. I change my straps on my watches daily and match my outfits (I would like to add some from Bark and Jack soon). Also the VC is on my own list for a certain milestone and goal. Thank you guys for such great content. Look forward to it every week.
Great video, my favourite episode so far. Love the format of a guest, with an inspiring story, and choosing the appropriate watch that suits where they are at, and what they’re after. All great picks. Love the AP, but I think the A Langhe Sohne is the winner as it’s so unique. Add the gold AP after as the next milestone to aim for - maybe as a brand ambassador!
I have been guilty of buying watches when I wanted them but milestone watches mean a lot more. I was on a waiting list for a Daytona for a few years and I got the call a month after my 29th birthday. I put it away for 11 months only to be worn for my 30th birthday. My wife also just gave me a Grand Seiko Omiwatari for our wedding day and I will cherish that thing forever.
Hey guys. Loved the special guest. For the past 5 years I had been sitting 23 exams to become a chartered accountant and finally in December I found I had passed my last ever one so I treat myself to a brand new Rolex date just 41 blue dial. Surprisingly and against the word I actually had a really good experience and managed to get one very quickly. They listened to my interest in watches and understood the milestone 👍🏻
I like that someone like George (who seems like he could have any watch he wanted) has a price cap. While $50k is a TON of money for 99% of people, looking at somthing he likes but saying "that's too much money" is kinda cool
This was a great episode, well done. It was fun to watch shop for Lucien. I think the VC skeleton would be the choice for him out of what you discussed. If I was picking for him, it would be the Speedmaster 3861 in moonshine gold. That would be SPECTACULAR on his skin tone and boss watch that brings all the speedy does plus the bit of presidential vibe of that bracelet plus the strap options plus it’s actually AVAILABLE!
Andrew wearing a khaki field to a discussion about 100k watches is amazing, love to see it! Great Episode guys love having a guest for a different perspective.
My first “big” Watch purchase was Rolex Explorer in my early 20’s. Ended up needing to sell it……bought the 39mm again when I got married. It’s the watch all others are measured by!
It’s strange how a watch can imprint on you so much and even when it goes from your collection there something in you that says. No no no no. That one’s gotta return. Well done on getting it back in your stable. Merry Christmas Mathew.
I think the VC would look best, not only would it suit him but having all the options between bracelet, rubber and leather would make it so versatile. Also I think VC don’t get the love that AP get so having someone wear that in the public limelight like a red carpet would not only tell people that Lucien is someone who knows watches but something different from all the APs we see.
Hi guys, for my 21st my parents bought me a Raymond Weil Tango watch. I got it on a blue dial with baton indexes, which i asked for and have not seen on any other Tango. I love it and it gets so many people asking me what it is. Definitely staying with me for life. Keep up the good work guys
1976 was one of the hardest times for Niki Lauda and he got the Heuer Monza. 2016 i won the fight against cancer and the 40th anniversary Heuer Monza was released. I got one and still love it and the show! Merry Christmas
Man the 2016 monza was sooooo awesome. I remember shooting that one and seriously thinking yep this is gonna be the next one on my list. But alas not yet. So many great options out there. But man. I’m sure that monza for you reminds you of that triumphant battle you fought. Well done and merry Christmas to you on this day.
I know it wasn’t on the list but streamliner centre seconds 🐸 because half of the love is living vicariously through others! Love the show, love Emily in Paris too! Big fan since day dot.
I’m so psyched that you brought a watch artist to BYOI!! Her work is phenomenal! Since you guys aren’t putting out an AET wall clock, I’ll have to get one of her prints to have the right time twice a day. :-)
Andrew, watching your videos for such a long time I’ve always loved your wedding band - flat faced like a signet ring and always looks good with whatever is on your wrist. Can you share where you got it/who designed it?
My milestone watch was the Rolex Explorer2, 216570, for my 50s birthday! I hunted it for almost 3 years! I was hunting the Sub but that was out of the question, I couldn’t sign me up on the waitlist, so 12 days before my birthday I was offered my Explorer2….. a choice I never has regreted! 👍🏻
Just wanted to chime in, excellent episode, I thoroughly enjoyed it! I didn’t know Lucien before but now I’ll have to watch his show. I’d go for the Lange and a sportier selection to complement it, but for Lucien I think the VC is the right choice. An incredible blend of heritage and watchmaking prowess in an elegant but still sporty and modern package. Also being a little under the radar (relative to rolly ap et al) is a big plus in my book.
Feel like the vibe for Lucien is either AP or VC. Might be a little chalk but they both hit the sporty/sleek/sexy vibes perfectly and just the right amount of bling.
Great episode. My daughter loves Emily from Paris, btw. We finished watching all ten episodes. Lucien is incredible on the show. I would have introduced Omega to Lucien. Probably the Ed White 321 or the Silver Snoopy. Either one would look great on Lucien.
Nice episode! Choosing from one of the proposed, I’d have to say that the VC does it for me. I love the versatility of the bracelet and strap. I also think the JLC Polaris Perpetual Calendar in SS also works, though with less of a bling factor. I do love the ALS, but maybe as the next addition. I’m surprised no one brought forward a Bamford. 😂
Of the picks: The VC. Strap versatility edges out the Royal Oak for his purposes (although I like the Royal Oak more. My personal out of the box nomination though would be a two watch combo - parmigiani fluerier Rattrapante GMT & Credor Eichi II in platinum. A daddy daily and daddy dressy - stealth flexes 💪
Beautifully background Pulp Fiction reference when the Masked Watchmaker appeared, Andrew. The episode had several beautiful film references, not least Lucien's nod to Troy. It would be hard to beat the Nautilus, when all is said and done, BUT I would offer my watch dream. When I finish the novel I'm working on, if it is a success, I would stretch to a Vacheron Constantine Historiques American 1921, which, apart from being sub100 and allowing for some additional impressive pieces, is an elegant and gloriously eccentric choice. Merry Christmas boys: easy on the gin.
I feel like to get a watch that makes you feel you have to throw out the logical concept of what a watch is, it's like jewellery in that sense! Very personified 🙂
What a fantastic idea for an episode. Lucien seems like a top bloke. I reckon he seems like an AP type of guy. Love the idea of a milestone watch. I’ve always loved watches. My parents bought me a Gucci quartz number for my 18th birthday and then I’ve strove to stick with mechanical watches. My wife 100% hit the nail on the head and surprised me with the moon watch on our wedding day which I will cherish for the rest of my life. I recently marked the 10th year in my profession with a black Omega seamaster with Sedna gold on a rubber strap. I genuinely wear this all day and everyday. I love the idea of a watch expressing one’s personality. Just like with my sneakers. I think everyone should just buy what they want and wear want they want. Don’t get sucked into the hype!
My last watch purchase tied to an event wasn’t to celebrate but to cheer myself up. I was doing an Ironman race and the bike fork was damaged causing me to drop out on mile 70ish of the bike portion. I was in a crap mood and needed a pick me up. My wife had really fallen for the Oris Upcycle and I knew it was at a jeweler up the road. I bought it for her as a present to tie a happy memory to the day while I planned what race to do next.
You’re right Ray there were many movie references. We will def travel more down that path in the future. And mate. Can I just give you a massive shout out. An OG viewer and one that I always look forward to hearing from. Hope your new year is turning out to be a cracker and that perhaps someday we get to meet and hang out. Merry Christmas Ray.
I believe the best watch for Lucien is the VC that Adrian put up. Considering its a daddy watch and with the quick strap setting Lucien could flex this either on the red carpet with the gold bracelet or a rubber strap at a beach. All in one go! Anyway i think personally GP Laureato black onyx gold should also be up thete as a choice for him. Its just sexy as f! PS. hello from Thailand!
Does anyone know what the watch brand and/or model that the big watch face clock with the black dial and a tight fluted bezel in stainless is? It’s positioned over Bamford’s left shoulder?
Well done boys! Probably your coolest episode yet. Lucien is such an impressive guy with a massively interesting story. I’m rooting for him to continue excelling and spreading positivity. How refreshing his attitude is! While the Zeitwerk is the best “red carpet” watch for me (nice one GB), I get the sense that Lucien is looking for a one watch collection right now. For that reason, I’m right behind Captain Boring on the VC Overseas Perpetual train. Absolutely loved this one and hoping to join the next Therapy Session. Merry Christmas you filthy animals! 👏🏻 🙌🏼🎄
For me, A Lange suits him the most - great choice George 👍👍 I believe he would pick this if he sees the real one on his wrist. And I think he would wear watches better if they are a bit under his wrist bone. May he find the watch he want 🌲🌲 Merry Christmas to you all.
I would really want him to choose the IWC, but it’s just too bulky to put under a cuff! So AP it is! As an alternative, slightly above his budget, a Moser Streamliner Tourbillion in red gold ;)
When I saw that IWC hit the table I knew it would not be his choice but holy smokes what an incredible time piece and the fact you adjust the entire thing with only the crown. What the actual ferk!??!?!!!?!
I got my first real watch this past March after I was promoted to a Director at my company. I got an Omega Sea Master 300, every time I look at that watch I think about all the hard work that went into that promotion.
I would go with Adrian on the VC overseas. Daddy watch with lots of versatility and looks with the straps. My own suggestion would be the rose gold aquanaut
That was such a great episode guys! I loved all three of your choices (Overseas, Royal Oak, and Zeitwerk). That said, my choice would be the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Ultrathin Skeleton Perpetual Calendar (in rose gold with the blue dial). The Royal Oak Openworked will most certainly not be under $100k in reality. It's also the most hyped of the three, and I think Lucien would enjoy seeing the deep appreciation the VC would get from true enthusiasts only, and no hypebeasts. The Zeitwerk, like you guys mentioned won't be as good for everyday wear as much as the other two. The VC has the most versatility between all the straps and different looks to fit more scenarios, and there's just something about the rose gold one with the blue dial that just gives me the tingles. That watch is perfection.
I could not agree with you more. The blue dial in the metal just takes your breath away. When Andrew and I went to VC and shot them all it was just so incredible to have all of them in front of us to try. Bloody hell they were just the best in my books. That’s when my attention dial shifted radically towards VC. In my books. These are the guys to watch.
Great show gents. To make a link to the current state of his life, “Paris” seems timely. An F.P. Journe Chronometre Bleu would be a great flex, IMO. A grail watch for many, but likely not the last in his journey.
Wonderful episode as always guys 🙏🙌🏻 Lucien is either the VC perpetual or the ALS Zeitwerk.. I would vote 🗳️ for the VC perpetual NOW and the Zeitwerk in a few years to celebrate something special (like a special award.. **cough cough OSCAR??! 🙌🏻👍🏻)
The only thing better than contemplating one's own purchase is offering advice to a friend. Having watched last night and slept on it, I would suggest putting the "Daddy Watches": AP Royal Oak, Patek Nautilus, and Vacheron Overseas on hold and instead opting for two watches, which offers the pleasurable experience to the novice of making a daily choice based on mood and purpose. My first being the A.Lange Zeitwerk for exclusivity and elegance. And the Omega Seamaster 300 18k in yellow gold for the cool/ quotidian factor. Both coming in under 75K at 21K and around 50K respectively. I see Lucien wearing both beautifully, allowing him time to contemplate that grail purchase.
VC Overseas is my vote (any piece in the overseas line but, the ultra thin line takes the crown for me and oozes class!) For a “one watch” you can’t get better in my humble opinion and suits the brief perfectly. Good luck with your journey Lucien :) Great video as always guys!!
I only use work/life milestones to buy a watch. My omega smp 300M diver, IWC Pilot's Chronograph 41, and Tudor Black bay pro were all major work accomplishments from Nov 21 thru Sep 22. My grand seiko SBGW287 was to celebrate/commemorate the birth of my son. I find it very fitting to buy tool watches for work accomplishments and dress watches for family/life events/milestones. As for Lucien's watch...for those offered I vote the VC. For my own thoughts, what about a Laureato as a daily driver and JLC perpetual calendar as dress?
I was super excited once I saw Lucien on the thumbnail, very unexpected! (Already binged through Emily in Paris) Personally I think the VC. It's stunning and definitely still a flex without being too show-off. Especially being so thin it can hide away under the cuff and just subtly peek out to let itself be known, like a good fragrance. I reckon it would be hard to fall out of love with it. That being said ultimately Lucien needs to go with whatever speaks to him the most. Whatever makes him think "Fu-ck-in' 'ell" when he sees it. If this is to be that "one" watch. You don't want to risk a short-lived honeymoon phase.
Hi guys my wife bought me Omega sapphire sandwich moon watch for helping her through chemotherapy. That is a very special and treasured piece. ❤
Perfection.
Great news Matt. Now you can return the love with planning 5 years cancer free, 10 years etc. An event or gift that she will love.
Well hell. Nothing could be better. Seriously, that is the best watch ever. All the best to you and your wife. Internet over. You win.
Now that is some wife! Congrats to her and congrats to you. You've got the best watch and woman. Wear it with joy.

I agree with the VC - strap changes make this a great one watch mic drop!
Agreed. It’s incredibly versatile but also dead sexy.

Yes! A follow up episode would be great!
Even just a small segment within an episode where Lucien tells us what he bought and shows us the new watch.
Best thing to do for christmas is watching AET!!
Thanks for joining mate, and merry Christmas.
“Merry Christmas to everyone” - Tiny Tim
Lucien and VC seems like a match made in heaven! He should definitely look into the rest of the collection as well - he will definitely have that *ahhhwww* angel moment on a bunch of their pieces!
Omega Seamaster for 40th birthday, Rolex Explorer II for 50th, Rolex Yachtmaster II for 60th.
That's an awesome line-up!

Wearing my model 1 Green Fume right fucking now. What a great shout!! You don’t buy a watch from anOrdain. You commission a piece of art.
Loved this format, brilliant episode!! 🔥 AP for the flex… maybe a GMT for the daily beater?
Yeah I think a daily is an important first big watch.
The gold VC perpetual is the winner for Lucien! High horology, stunning, wearability and a forever watch.

He seems to have a larger wrist that’ll support the 42mm case. It’s not too thick being just under 12mm and it’s extremely understated by being stainless steel from JLC. Gorgeous watch and really says “I get it” to true watch collectors. Loving the content!
Lovely choice there 🤌🏼🤌🏼
Gronfeld 1941 Principia. Half the budget, an amazing independent, and an absolute watch guy watch.
Love all the options, the JLC Polaris Perpetual Calendar is I think right up there with the AP and the VC, not skeletonized but still, can be understated in stainless or a bit more of a statement in pink gold!
My absolute favorite watch enthusiast channel and love the group dynamic! Thanks for keeping the content fun and always focused on the hobby!
Champion 💪🏼
I had no clue who this guy was when you pushed this episode, and then my wife force-binged the entire new “Emily in Paris” season on me. Good guy & good actor!
Haha - force binge 🤣🤣🤣
Never watched a single second of the show. Haven’t a clue. But, he is a great dude who gets it. I hope he gets a fucking killer watch.
Best podcast ever...didn't finish writing my thought...but the vc is the choice...cheers
Man putting it away till you were 30 is one very disciplined move. Well done to you for your resolve. More than many could have done I suspect.
Delayed gratification is the best gratification 💪🏼
I think the White Gold GMT would apply really well with his lifestyle and vibe.
They listened to my interest in watches and understood the milestone 👍🏻
really enjoyed the 3rd season of Emily in Paris and can't wait for the next season!
Helping someone find a watch. This was a GRET SHOW! Love this show idea.
Hopefully not the last 🤌🏼🤌🏼
I like that someone like George (who seems like he could have any watch he wanted) has a price cap. While $50k is a TON of money for 99% of people, looking at somthing he likes but saying "that's too much money" is kinda cool
Definitely feel the passion and love for watches here- and more importantly respect. Great ambassadorship of the watch community on full display.
Thanks man, really, that’s the highest praise we could hope for and we’re glad it comes through 🙏🏻
Sat down, full of Christmas dinner and crossed my fingers there'd be something interesting to watch, impeccable timing gentlemen.
It’s beginning to look a lot like AET. Watches on everyone’s wrists. (To the tune of it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas )
Merry Christmas and hope the dinner was good.
AP more youthful but VC more versatile with strap changes while still being an incredible “big daddy” piece! Great guest spot!
No bleeps! And Happy Christmas all.
And a happy New Year to you yojimbo!!!
I loved this episode man. Great great episode.
That VC would be killer on him.
Awesome episode, gents. Love the format of introducing people to the world of watches.
Thank you!
Such a fantastic episode guys, always look forward to it. I think a Patek or Lange would be best for Lucien. Perhaps a Cartier as a ‘daily beater’
The AP for me. The VC is amazing, but the Royal oak is so effing iconic.
Yellow gold bracelet open work Royal Oak is “iconic”?
@@UserKR13 I bet you’re a blast at parties
@@zachkochan736 coming from someone who just wrote the most dry comment on the video and even uses the word “blast” 😂
@@UserKR13 you got me. I’ll keep my comments to myself going forward.
What a great episode guys. I'm a massive closet EIP fan so what a treat to see this watch choosing process through Lucien's aka Alfie's nonjaded eyes.
@@marcusflack1523 Thank you and merry christmas!
What an incredibly humble guy
I know it wasn’t on the list but streamliner centre seconds 🐸 because half of the love is living vicariously through others! Love the show, love Emily in Paris too! Big fan since day dot.
I’m so psyched that you brought a watch artist to BYOI!! Her work is phenomenal! Since you guys aren’t putting out an AET wall clock, I’ll have to get one of her prints to have the right time twice a day. :-)
Great episode guys! I’m a big fan of Lucien, I hope he finds the watch that really speaks to him.
🤘
Loved this episode so much! Hopefully there will be more guests in the future.
Thanks George - we can promise we’ll keep changing it up !
Andrew, watching your videos for such a long time I’ve always loved your wedding band - flat faced like a signet ring and always looks good with whatever is on your wrist. Can you share where you got it/who designed it?
It’s a Tiffany design that I had made in white gold 👌🏻 - Andrew
When Lucien puts the right watch on he will know, but it definitely won’t be the last, good luck and enjoy, grate show as always 👌🏻
This is the best advice. The right watch stands out.
What a great episode; I'm excited for the follow up already!
Wz Good Alfie!!! By far only watching this because you are here!
If they ever make a biopic about Lewis Hamilton, I hope Lucien is casted! Would absolutely slay in that role..
Great episode. My daughter loves Emily from Paris, btw. We finished watching all ten episodes. Lucien is incredible on the show. I would have introduced Omega to Lucien. Probably the Ed White 321 or the Silver Snoopy. Either one would look great on Lucien.
Good call, can see that 👌🏻
What an episode.
I am a massive fan of A.E.T but Lucien… what an inspiration and all round decent guy. Keep it up guy 👌🏼
When Lucien put it on, the 5711 just looked right. Another awesome episode!
Agreeeee
The AP I think suits him the most . The Nautilus isn’t too far behind either. Great episode guys.
Great episode! Great guest! And great topic! Who doesn't love watch shopping for another person ☺️
That Parmagiani is such a. Sleeper hit. The finishing is bonkers and I love the hidden GMT hand when you don’t need it. Wow.
Oh and merry Christmas mother f@*#r
In the words of Jack Black from Shallow Hal…. Daddy like
Zenith chronomaster sport 41mm rose gold for Lucien
I never really appreciated the hype around the Nautilus aesthetic until I saw it on Lucien's wrist here. My jaw DROPPED.
But 4P gin is easy to drink Ray - thanks for your OG support in 2022 ✊🏼
The Zeitwerk is a 85k plus GBP watch give of take - 50k-ish? 🤔
GB going off secondary market there we think
I feel like to get a watch that makes you feel you have to throw out the logical concept of what a watch is, it's like jewellery in that sense! Very personified 🙂
Think this guy suits the patek the most, but that AP is also so stunning!
👏🏻
Cool to see him on the show!!!!! I love the show on Netflix!!!!!!! Can't wait to see the new season.
Awesome episode again guys!!
Great episode, guys, well done. I think the gold AP will look best on Lucien since it’s a style that he carry best
Simply ‘effing’ magical - Awesome guys.
We were so pleased to wave our magic wand for everyone on Christmas Day. Thanks for watching Martin
OG 🙌
Well done boys! Probably your coolest episode yet. Lucien is such an impressive guy with a massively interesting story. I’m rooting for him to continue excelling and spreading positivity. How refreshing his attitude is!
While the Zeitwerk is the best “red carpet” watch for me (nice one GB), I get the sense that Lucien is looking for a one watch collection right now. For that reason, I’m right behind Captain Boring on the VC Overseas Perpetual train. Absolutely loved this one and hoping to join the next Therapy Session. Merry Christmas you filthy animals! 👏🏻 🙌🏼🎄
Haha back at you Brad, see you there!
That VC perpetual calendar is epic! That would be my choice.
For me, A Lange suits him the most - great choice George 👍👍 I believe he would pick this if he sees the real one on his wrist. And I think he would wear watches better if they are a bit under his wrist bone. May he find the watch he want 🌲🌲 Merry Christmas to you all.
Loved this episode 🔥 Go for the skeleton dial AP! Merry Christmas 🎄
What a showstopper that watch it. End of story!!!
You dropped the ball on this one. This wonderful fellow is all about the Accutron DNA in Rose Gold. All the way.
He’ll def get an Oscar for Bond 😂
Why is Glashütte Original so often overlooked? For example the rose gold Panomatic Inverse is stunning …
Oh my god George, that B347 is SOOO COOL. That carbon case, with the inverted panda dial, paired with the blue rubber, I really want one!
VC Overseas is my vote (any piece in the overseas line but, the ultra thin line takes the crown for me and oozes class!) For a “one watch” you can’t get better in my humble opinion and suits the brief perfectly.
Good luck with your journey Lucien :)
Great video as always guys!!
I think lucien should build a collection of three to 4 watches, a reverso, a Pepsi gmt and a speedy and wait for the Patek
I hope Lucien comes back and shows off the watch he decided on.
Damn.. George’s watch is so so cool! Wow! It’s like a Zenith Defy Shadow .. with a date and it’s forged carbon.. sweet.
I was super excited once I saw Lucien on the thumbnail, very unexpected! (Already binged through Emily in Paris)
Personally I think the VC.
