    • @DiggerDanMetalDetecting
      @DiggerDanMetalDetecting  Год назад +1

      Thank you buddy 😀👍. My honest opinion on the LG30, is that, for a start, it won't be coming off my machine to be replaced with the LG28. It is brilliant mate, its lighter/better balanced, it gives a wider coverage, and its better at separation and really pinpoints the targets, including very small stuff near iron 👌. I don't have a bad thing to say about it.

    • @DiggerDanMetalDetecting
      @DiggerDanMetalDetecting  Год назад +1

      Hey Millie, thank you for watching 😊. I should have explained about the water. Deionised water has no chemicals or mineral in it unlike tap water, and is much more gentle on delicate surfaces like bronze etc. Tap water can damage those surfaces and bring on corrosion in certain metals. Hope that makes sense and answers you question. 😊👍

    Couple of newbie questions...
    Just about to secure a permission on a site of a Roman villa apparently,,, these Roman finds, does the farmer want them, what have you agreed, are they worth much...the fibula, 2000 years old...feels like you should tell somebody?

    • @DiggerDanMetalDetecting
      @DiggerDanMetalDetecting  Год назад +1

      Thanks for commenting mate, everyone has different agreements with their landowner. It all depends on what their interests are. Usually it's a 50/50 split on anything of value, but I'm lucky and my farmer has never wanted anything from me. He just likes to see the history, so I show him when I find something interesting. Most of the Roman bronze coins aren't worth a lot anyway, not that I've ever sold anything.
      You should definitely go to the portable antiquity scheme website "PAS" and have a read up on the treasure act, so that you have an idea of what is classed as treasure and what isn't. What is reportable and what's not 👍.
      With things like that fibula, I always send of pictures etc to my FLO (finds liaison officer) so they can decide whether they want to record them or not.
      Hope that helps mate 👍

    • @wozzerwozzer1
      @wozzerwozzer1 Год назад +1

      @Digger Dan Metal Detecting It does, thanks mate. Probably won't find anything with my track record so far but want to know just in case 🤣 I'll take a look at the website for more info on treasure.
      I'm going to share whatever I find with the landowner, see what he wants/doesn't...Will also use the NCMD permissions form so there's a record.
      Great videos, inspire me to get out and keep hunting for the good stuff!
