I don’t personally carry a Staccato for EDC but I obviously really like the P. It’s a great gun & there’s a lot you can do to it, if you so choose. I’m sure you will love it. Thanks for the sub! @ it’ll be interesting to see how much better the ports and comp make! Especially because those who purchased a P before the XC came out or simply couldn’t afford it at the time. The genkis comp might be a better option than selling their gun for an XC!

Comps work better with higher pressure ammunition. So what ammunition were you using? Basic 115gr blasting ammo or any other standard pressure ammunition?

@@chrishaney198 The Monsoon Tactical Staccato P’s with Lucky 7’s, Genghis Komo, Cerakote & Stipple probably end up right about the cost of a stock XC. The Grand Master Genghis Komp, Cerakote, stipple & NVC slide cuts & you’re gonna be more expensive. The Vulcan guns I bought retail, so they’re more than the XC as well.

Do you have any handguns with V8 porting? If you do, how’s the recoil between V8 porting vs Straight line porting? I’m having a hard deciding what I want
@@Chir5t Unfortunately I do not have any with V8 & I’ve never had an opportunity to shoot one that does. I will have to get one sent out so I can try it. The porting I do have on my staccato’s is mainly the Lucky 7’s & then my atlas’ have the V porting but not 8 ports. The return to zero is similar between the two, lucky 7’s may be a bit more sudden, while the atlas seems a touch softer. I will say, you got me thinking though. I am going to get a pistol with the V8… I don’t think you can go wrong with either.
Do you own any TTI guns? I'm going to buy either a Staccato XL or a TTI gunsmithed Glock 34. You are maybe the only person that could weigh in. I want to start competing this year, and I want to train a ton with a really good pistol.
@@undisputedgreatest Yes, I have a few of them, including the TTI Glock 34. It’s a great striker fired pistol, but in my opinion not as good as. An XL, or any 2011. I may be a little biased though. The XL is going to shoot better than the 34 (far superior trigger) but it’s much heavier. I imagine you’ll have a faster draw & faster reloads with the 34 but shoot better with the XL. One issue that 2011’s give me is reliable slide lock. I have to be very deliberate with my grip but the 34 will almost certainly lock back reliably. That’s my experience anyway. Both great guns, for what they are but both have trade offs

That sounds like an astute appraisal of both. Do you prefer the XL or the XC? I know the XL is their competition gun. But, I do like compensators. @ No problem, I’m happy to give you my two cents. The XC is I fantastic gun. It was the one that got me hooked on 2011’s/DS1911’s.. My XL is one of my best shooting guns, but Vulcan Machine Werks ported it & it has their aluminum grip. It’s heavy, but just butter. I have actually never shot a stock XL. I should have mentioned that earlier. I know the stock XC to be a great gun & I’m sure a stock XL is as well. I don’t think you could go wrong with either gun. It’s just that I can only speak from experience to the stock XC. I have no doubt the stock XL is going to outshoot the TTI G34 but having only shot my ported version, I can’t say with certainty if it’s better than an XC.

One hundred concepts has an optic cover for red dots like the Holosun 507 comp. That might help with the glare.
