It’s a GoPro 11 Black. I’m not too impressed by it, but maybe I need to give it a chance 🤷♂️. It’s snowed a couple times, but melted pretty quickly, but I think the cold and snow is right around the corner 🥶
Thank you for this! This video is the best in explaining in detail the in's and out's of downpipes and what to consider. Thank you for the research. That chart is money.
Whereabouts in Colorado? Regarding the DP, I’ve narrowed it down to 3 catted DPs, but it will depend on if I plan on upgrading the cat-back exhaust too, which I haven’t decided yet 🤔🤷♂️
@@TheLemonFactor in Denver! Should be picking up my MT 3.0 in about a month! And nice, I’m thinking catted too because I want it to pass emissions but I’m torn because so many catless ones on RUclips sound good
Should be an easy choice; either the cheapest catless for the track OR you spend the money and get a proper cat/no CEL guarantee with the AA Catted Downpipe. I daily mine, so I went with the catted AA DP. Plenty of volume and performance increase.
Catless is a no brainer - go with the largest, cheapest pipe. As far as catted, there are others that won’t throw a CEL besides AA. AA is not the only one.
I noticed that there aren’t too many manufacturers that even make a catless downpipe. Hopefully one of the freer flowing catted versions will produce nearly as much performance gains 👍
hello, what downpipe do you recommend for the toyota supra mk5... I would like a downpipe that makes loud pops, what dawnpipe do you recommend for up to 1000 euros
For a catted downpipe, I would be looking at the diameter, cat type and cell of the cat, as well as it’s placement in the pipe. Going with catted, you obviously don’t want to get that CEL.
What's the chart say in the video... the Boostlogic catted downpipe does NOT guarantee that it will NOT through a CEL. Again, per the video, catless downpipes will result in a CEL - some people use a defouler to trick the ECU, but I wouldn't count on it being effective.
I'm considering MAP downpipe and full exhaust for it's no CEL, price point. Wondering if the single pipe prevents it from being better performing than a dual pipe running down to the back.
@@TheLemonFactor Got it. And I'm too old for the loud obnoxious sound a lot of people like. You're saying go performance catted downpipe with the stock exhaust for not an overly loud system?
I think the cell count will have a minimum impact on how loud it is - not as noticeable as the difference between a catted downpipe v a noncatted downpipe 🤔
So I got my 23 A91 supra this past weekend and looking to do the downpipe first. It's probably between active Werkes and CG... I'm unsure. I'll be attaching to the stock exhaust at first and will probably get a exhaust down the road. Provable a Tomie dual exhaust. Would I have a pro lem connecting the CG or Werkes downpipe to stock exhaust and any problems in the future for the tomie?
Good question. I can only go by what they indicate on their website. I highly recommend you reaching out to them for clarification. Good luck 👍 and congratulations on your new car 😁
No, not really as they’re two totally different cars. I’ve had good luck with upgrading downpipes in the past. However, I’ve seen mixed reviews, with some people saying that you have to get a tune to realize the benefit. We’ll see 🤔
@@TheLemonFactor Oh ok. Well I hope it nets u some gains. I can imagine it being a monster with a couple upgrades. Do you know any big names in tunning Toyotas? I only know of Motec from the GR yaris
Once you unlock the ECU, Ecutek seems to be the tuner of choice. Less robust solutions are MHD and BM3. Without unlocking the ECU, you can still get decent performance gains from JB4 - and there’s a popular tuner that can custom tune maps 👍
Why would you spend so much on an exhaust when others sell at 1/4 of the price? Seems like a waste of money considering that it will not perform any better than a much cheaper exhaust 🤷♂️
@@TheLemonFactor Not sure if you’re familiar with Akrapovic but they are the best in the bizz (when it comes to exhausts). Most of those other exhausts that are much cheaper are made with poor materials & bad design. But Akra is made from high quality parts & designed by actual engineers. Plus, 8-9k for a FULL exhaust on a $60k+ sports car isn’t too unreasonable imo 🤷♂️
Apologies for the grainy video - I was trying out a new camera and wasn't familiar with the settings. It shouldn't happen again 🙂
Don't leave us hanging, what camera? 🙂 And, no snow in your pictures of the foothills!

Sweet! I'm sure you can't wait. I'm leaning towards the ETS Street, CG Precision, or Wagner Tuning catted downpipes.
I chuckled for 5 minutes when he said a-crap-o-wich 😂

Catless. The cheapest one would do. At the end of the day you need your DME unlocked and a tune to make everything work in a correct manner
Great video
Thank you, Christopher! I appreciate your positive comment 👍😁
In your opinion what’s the best one that checks the boxes you mentioned
I like the ETS, Wagner, and CG Precision. If you’re willing to spend much more, the Active Autowerke is pretty nice with its 400 cell GESI 👍
Iv been looking at the boost logic because its catless but dont want the CEL , now im hearing rumors that tuners legally not allowed to delete the CEL

Does the boostlogic DP turn on the CEL or doesnt? Also, if i were to go catless will it tunr on a CEL or there are some that dont turn it on?

HJS or GESI is the way forward.
is there a way to get reduce the smell of a catless downpipe other than using nose plugs?
Yes, get a catted downpipe 🤷♂️
@@TheLemonFactor haha. Guess I'll have to get used to the smell
On some cars it’s not so bad, on others… it’s unbearable ☹️

I’m a little concerned that a downpipe with the cat back exhaust will be too loud for my liking 😕🤷♂️

What about powerneedy cated downpipe? They are good ?
There are several other options available - the difficult part is figuring out which one is best for you 🤔
