I was about to figure it out, but the EU finally did something good and Apple had to Unlock iOS; I have been attempting to figure out setting up my retro stuff the last few years on an M1 MacMini, Never had Apple, Hated them after the Intel Swap made things more Exp.... But this Mini is Sweet for Quake III Arena in HD lol

Great tutorial I was just wondering if you know how to get ps2 games to launch with retroarch instead of it try to make me choose a retroplayer core from iagl which has no cores for ps2.

Question. I’m on an android tv box and have seemingly done everything in the video accordingly and the setup wizard seems to work when done correctly but when trying to launch a game it says “x failed to launch” not sure what to do or if there is a fix
Sorry for the late reply. Android 11 introduced a done of problems for people trying to use IAGL. Not sure if your Android box is on that, but if it is, a new update was recently released that fixed a lot of the issues. I plan on making a new tutorial about it soon. Here is a silly question.
Your IAGL version is a 3.0.4 mine is a 3.0.6 as we speak...does this update on its own or do i have to update or unistall and reinstall every so often?
If i have to do it manually do you have a step by step to do update?

Sorry for the late reply. It should update on its own as long as your repository is up to date (which should also update on its own). The latest repository is 1.0.4 so make sure you have that. A new IAGL update recently came out and is now on 3.0.7. I plan on making a new tutorial on it soon.

Thank you!!! This works beautifully on my old laptop. I’m trying to perform the setup on my fire cube. All steps are going well, but I cannot locate the system folder for retroarch on the cube to extract the zip file contents to, maybe I need ES Prem?
I don't have a Fire Cube but I have installed this on a Fire Stick. In RetroArch, go to Settings then Directory, and look to see where RetroArch is looking for your systems folder. That should help point you in the right direction. Let me know if you need more help and maybe my next video can be how to install all this on a fire stick (I mean I guess it's about time I get off my lazy butt and come up with another video, lol).
@ROGUE Tutorials that would be great cause I'm using my firestick and while the really old games work well, (nes, snes, atari and early arcade) sometimes it crashes for me and also it seems to keep adding extra memory even though I constantly clear the cache. Not any new tutorials available as I guess there's a different way that I don't know about but the firestick is so easy and accessible.
Fantastic tutorial. I was struggling to combine Retroarch with IAGL and it now works.. I have 2 issues
1. Xbox One S/X controllers disconnect after a while causing the Retroarch to swap to next port when controller is woken up which loses hotkeys etc
2. Even with all system bios populated in Retroarch System folder N64 will not launch in IAGL. Launches fine in Retroarch. I suspect this is to do with IAGL automatically selecting core even though this has not been chosen by me in set up wizard.
I have an XBOX One S controller and I haven't experienced that issue. Not sure what's causing it. As for N64, long press/right click/press 'c' on the N64 list (the one that's the title of the system that you would click on to get to the games) to bring up the context menu and from there you can select "Update Launch Command". In there you can select what core you want to use for your N64 games.
Also, a new version of IAGL just recently came out that makes it easier to run on Android devices and I will be creating a tutorial covering that soon.

Quick question is there away to download big memony games for what takes a while to load. To load quickly the following day i pressed the download button but the next day av got to wait for the game to load up again
Hey. Sorry for the late reply. But the answer to your question is yes. You have to go into the addon settings and increase the Game Cache size. That will make it so that games will remain in your cache folder and will only be deleted once your folder reaches the size you set it to.
is it possible to speed up the games? for example snes games? i want to skip usless Dialogs. i cant find the Option in the Controller settings... is there maybe a addon for Controllers? hope you can help me.
In the emulator there are usually fast forward keys. Off the top of my head I can't remember, maybe tab. You should be able to find it in the menus. Input, control, hotkeys, something like that
Hello, i'm having trouble installing the IAGL in kodi. When i click install, it fails installing a dependency and i can't get beyond that step :(
What are you trying to install it on? PC? Tell me exactly what dependency if failing to install and I'll see if I can figure out a work around for you.

Try updating the repository and the plugin. A new update was recently released that fixed a lot of issues. If you are still having dependency issues, you can try manually installed them from the link below. Make sure you choose the latest version (2.0.3) and install it like you would any other zip in Kodi. Installed on Kodi using a standard USB gamepad and using Retroplayer instead of External, but the Game Menu pops up when I press A, B, X, Y, Select or Start. Cannot add a coin or start a game. Games load without any issue, but I can actually play anything. Help please.
I need help with this as well... I opened steam at the same time and had the controller working, then i restarted and it was back to square one. The controller is mapped to the keyboards buttons as well in IAgL/retroarch, from what i understand the keyboards commands need to be unmapped as well but it seems impossible from trying it out. Msg me here if you ever find a solution.

retroarch is good on a phone or tablet but not so good on a tvbox if you don't have a bluetooth controller or a tvbox that support bluetooths.
I am at a standstill at the download of the bios file. Everywhere I go I cannot find a direct link to a zip file to download, I see one for torrents, but I don't use torrents or understand that stuff. Can someone please give me a direct link to the download for the bios zip file needed? many links have no file available when I get to them. Thank you.

What bios file did you use I can’t find it.
Check out this page on the RetroArch website which tells you what BIOS you need for each core docs.libretro.com/library/bios/ Hopefully using the information there will help in your search. I wonder if this can be replicated on the noviciate shield?
If shield is based off of Android then it should. But you will have to get IAGL and RetroArch working on Android on your own as I haven't set that up...... yet. It is on my list of videos to make. Just don't have the time to make them yet. But hopefully soon.

Is it possible for me to use my usb game controller with iagl?
If you are referring to using your USB gamepad inside of Kodi to navigate through IAGL, then I think the answer is yes, although I haven't done it. But check in the settings for Kodi and you should be able to find something to map your controller buttons.
If you are referring to using your USB controller inside of RetroArch for playing your games, then that answer is yes. As long as you update controller profiles from inside of RetroArch's online updater then RetroArch should be able to know what controller you plugged in and automatically set it up appropriately. Let me know if you need any extra help.

How do I get the bios on my fire stick?
Sorry for the late reply back. I use an app called Xplore to manage files on my firestick. I download the BIOSes I want into my Downloader folder using the Downloader app on my firestick, then use Xplore to move those files into the System folder in the RetroArch folder. Let me know if you need more in depth help with this and I can trybto help you further.

The default settings is to delete the game when you download a new game. You can go into the settings of IAGL and change the cache size to a larger value making it the games don't get deleted until it reaches the size limit you chose. As far as downloading the games to a pen drive on the fire stick, I'm not sure.

@@shaitansouls845 This addon doesnt have support for xbox, just till PS2, but is poorly, just japan ISO's working, and theres no way to read your own ISO's while using kodi, still retroarch without kodi is that you have to do, hope they fix it

@@shaitansouls845 i found a way, you have to rename your ROMS into the ROMS from the IAGL Store, then add to favorites those items, go to your favorites and just press LAUNCH directly instead download (you rom has to have the same name as the IAGL rom)

It depends what version on Android you are on. I used to be able to run it on my phone but after some update (I can't remember which one) it no longer works.You can join the IAGL Discord and ask in there if you want more information about it.

How do I fix games that won't download or launch.
All games should at least download. Unless you don't have the space foe them. What game are you trying to download and what are you using IAGL on (like PC, cell phone, firestick, etc.).
@@roguetutorials2228 I use PC, also it's only bigger games that have the problem like for example, Pikmin for some reason works on my friend's computer even though my computer runs better and has more storage.
@@0verly0range So is it that the games aren't downloading or are they just not playing well on your computer? You mention Pikmin so I'm assuming you are trying to play GameCube games. Is your friend using the Dolphin Emulator on his computer. In my experience the standalone Dolphin emulator works better than using the Dolphin Core inside RetroArch (which if you followed my guide I'm thinking it's using RetroArch). So try and use the standalone Dolphin emulator and if it plays games better then you can change the settings in IAGL to use that instead of RetroArch. Can't go into detail right now but let me know if you need further help setting that up and I'll try to help you further when I have more time.

You will have to check the local laws in your area for that answer. But from a moral standpoint, I would say that you shouldn't download any games that you do not physically own or purchased digitally.
