Creating Feature Classes in ArcGIS Pro
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 7 апр 2019
- ArcGIS Pro stores feature classes (previously shapefiles) within geodatabases. Feature classes consist of points, lines, and polygons and are the basis of what we use when we create data for mapping. While I have used ESRI products for two decades, I was stumped when they changed their interface and I couldn't figure out how to start digitising! It's actually simple when you are in the know :) So save your time, and check this out. If you're new to Arc, then you might wonder what all the full is about!

Thank you so much! This was so helpful, and far clearer and more succinct than other ArcGIS tutorials I've come across.
Your videos are so much better than the other ESRI ones I've found. Very clear and well explained, and your voice is so nice to listen to! Thank you for doing these.
Thanks so much for your lovely feedback. I'm pleased you find them helpful!
I second that too💯. ESRI would do good to credit you something, Karen Joyce!
Thank you Karen. I was hopelessly lost, and potentially looking at a ruined Sunday (obsessive trait - can't give up till its sorted). This saved my weeked.
Candy jar... Candy.... breaking it down and presenting in a relatable way!!!! Your great Ma'am!!!
Thanks Karen for this great video. it is hard to find good videos out there about ArcGis pro and this one is clearly very nicely done.
Thank you, I'm glad that you've found it helpful!
You are a great teacher. Very clear and easy to learn. I’m excited I found your series. Thanks.
👌
Super helpful! I'm new, and this is a big help for getting me to the place where I can create content instead of just adding data.. Thanks Karen, appreciate your work.
Awesome, I'm glad it's helpful!
Awesome and simple video. Thank you! Cheers ~ from the USA
Wow, seriously thanks so much. What a great introduction to ArcGIS Pro!
You're most welcome, I'm glad that it was useful!
Thank you, Dr. Joyce! As a geography Ph.D. student with minimal GIS experience (shocking, right?!), your videos are super helpful in getting me up and running!!
Thank you for the positive feedback :)
Very clear and easy to follow, thank you so much!
Hi, Karen, many thanks for the video! :)
Great Great video! You made this very simple! I have subscribed and I really appreciate this lesson! Thanks!
You're most welcome, thanks for the feedback!
Finally someone is making sense! Thank you
Great video Karen. I was not seeing the infrastructure feature class that I created, when I went back into the Catalog View.
I had to hit refresh to see it. . I do not know if anyone else had this issue but, I thought I would post just in case.
you´re a lifesaver, great vid
Great tutorial!
very helpful! thanks :)
You're most welcome :)
Thanks, very helpful!
Thanks a million Karen!
Thank you so much!
you are the best dear keep it up
Thank you so much Karen it was a very helpful video, the only thing is missing is the mouse Cursor pointer
I know, it's so annoying isn't it! I had to change software and it didn't have that as an option, so I've changed again. My new stuff will have the cursor once more
Easy to understand...can you make a video on Unpackaging a package layer in the software
thank you very much it's very interest cours
Thank you so much
You're the absolute fucking best
Hello. Thank you. I can't find Catalog in view in ArcGIS pro. please help me.
Hi There, I am new here to GIS. Currently taking a course and was directed to your channels-very informative-THANK YOU!! I noticed You spoke of importance of where data is created......gdb- My question is, are gdb places where real earth coordinates "link" up and into a map for viewing? Therefore, if I don't see the same content data or layers created in a ArcGIS Pro map also displayed in project pane, then there is no information in my .gdb folder????
Hi, I'm sorry, but I don't understand your question? Geodatabases are storage locations for geospatial data
Can you tell me where did you get that infrastructure file you imported?
Great introductory tutorial and I've just tried the 'measuring area' tool. Does anyone know why the area I am measuring comes out as approximately double the actual area? That is a 2.4 ha field I own comes out 5.1 ha. Strange and I can't believe that Arc is somehow faulty.
Perhaps you have the incorrect projection for your data? Check that you are using an equal area projection and the answer should be correct
Hi miss Karen, How to pop-up the Content in my arcgis pro, coz i accidentally removed it? Thank you
Hello mam, cad polygon not matching in map how can I do this
skip to 4:00 for the relevant stuff
Why would anyone put themselves through this monstrous disaster of a program and not use Autocad?
And you still didn’t do shit.. where is the pink polygon?
