By calling Hikaru’s win streak “interesting”, he was hedging his bets in case there was blowback. Once that blowback came he could pedantically claim he didn’t accuse Hikaru of cheating because he didn’t actually use that word. Kramnik targeted the wrong chess player, the wrong fanbase. Very naive of him if he thought he was gonna get away unscathed with his innuendos. And now, his ego is making things worse, instead of just turn the page and move on, he's subjecting himself to even more attacks and criticisms, sinking his already trampled reputation. Because in the end, after everything is over (lawsuit etc), the facts won't change: Hikaru is not a cheater/ did not cheat. And chess history will read "former world chess champion went bonkers unable to process/accept that Hikaru's online chess achievement is humanely possible".

@RaniaIsAwesome I don't read childish comments so that wouldn't the reason for my disbelief. Kramnik's methodology is simply incorrect which is the cause of my disbelief.
I think your comment shed some light. I think perhaps any levelheaded adult who hasn't studied statistics or research methods might actually still strongly believe in Kramnik's methodology. This might be the reason why Kramnik's replies to theory/methodology/calculation based rebuttals is reduced to "bots" and "fans". Perhaps Kramnik is not sick in the mind, but simply that he is unable to comprehend others' works (in addition to narrowmindedness). This could explain how weird his responses are.
Now it could make more sense that Kramnik, who lacks post-secondary education, might read/interpret everything as a simple "you're wrong". If Kramnik is unable to absorb the information being fed to him and is narrowminded, then he would only believe he holds the one true stat.
Prior to your comment, I was more worried about Kramnik's health because he exhibited similar symptoms of certain patients I've observed. To be honest, I hope it is this new possibility because I do hope Kramnik (and everyone else) to be healthy. But honestly the situation is so absurd that I still worry that it could be the other possibility.

@RaniaIsAwesome Any level-headed adult who knows anything about how statistics and probabilities work knows Kramnik is full of shit with his baseless accusations. With the amount of games Hikaru has played it would be very unlikely if he hadn't gotten multiple win streaks like that.
If you toss a coin thousands of times and at some point you get a very long streak of heads or tails it would be within expectations. If I cherry pick that long streak and make claims about how unlikely that streak is without taking into account how many repetitions you had to make to get that streak and called you a cheater you probably wouldn't be too happy about it.
And we aren't talking about 50/50 coin tosses in Hikaru's case. Based on their elo differences. His expected win rate against 350 elo rating weaker players is 88%.

Did you check Indian express article? Hikaru used to accuse Arjun Erigaisi of cheating without any proof.
"Hikaru used to accuse Arjun of cheating. This was two or three years back. He was pretty confrontative about it. Arjun felt sad about it, that someone he looked up to as a chess player was accusing him just because he was playing well,” says Srinath, who was a coach and mentor for the young Indian prodigy.

It’s just that kind of year when Levy cares more about a cheating scandal than Magnus’s birthday
