It's pretty hilarious that he said he's going to show "REAL TRUE STATISTICS" to backup his assertion that Hikaru is cheating and then complains when people say he is accusing Hikaru of cheating.
What makes it even better is that he still hasn't shown those real true statistics. If he has undeniable proof of hikaru cheating, why isn't he publishing it?
Kramnik targeted the wrong chess player, the wrong fanbase. Very naive of him if he thought he was gonna get away unscathed with his innuendos. And now, his ego is making things worse, instead of just turn the page and move on, he's subjecting himself to even more attacks and criticisms, sinking his already trampled reputation. Because in the end, after everything is over (lawsuit etc), the facts won't change: Hikaru is not a cheater/ did not cheat. And chess history will read "former world chess champion went bonkers unable to process/accept that Hikaru's online chess achievement is humanely possible".
The Hikarumori will prevail! It's a shame because Kramnik had an amazing career, and this is just a pungent stain on his historically important legacy.
It's his pride that people "lesser" than him are doing better than him. Non World Champions. Especially Hikaru because Hikky hasn't seriously studied chess for years.
It’s clear to me that Kramnik’s goal is for everyone to interpret the statistics in such a way that will prove that Hikaru is cheating. He will never accept that he is not. The truth is that Kramnik has lost all credibility which now will hurt all of chess. He was trying to help catch cheaters but now he’s let them off the hook because his word means nothing anymore.
I think part of the reason cheating is becoming an issue in modern chess is because engines can be used to find new paths 15+ moves in using an opening against a defense and part of chess player's training protocols can include this. This muddies the ability to see top engine moves as being used in the moment or as a consequence of prep?
I'm one of the 'lurkers' you called it. I bought the gotham knights shirt and your recent book but I never comment. Thanks for bringing fun back into chess for me.
You're making the best point that Mr Kramnik is acting like he doesn't know how the web works. But also, using a threat of legal action to publicly make demands is going to look very bad on him in court!
This is insane. I honestly cannot believe what Kramnik is doing. I also am in disbelief that Kramnik has cherrypicked comments in support of him and appears to think everything else is from bots or Hikaru fans. It seems Kramnik has watched some RUclips videos reacting to this and for some reason he can just block them off. Honestly, this is too unbelievable what Kramnik is thinking.
It's hilarious that he's boasting about his petition getting 2K+ signatures so quickly when I quick perusal shows a huge chunk of them are just trolls.
@RaniaIsAwesome I don't read childish comments so that wouldn't the reason for my disbelief. Kramnik's methodology is simply incorrect which is the cause of my disbelief. I think your comment shed some light. I think perhaps any levelheaded adult who hasn't studied statistics or research methods might actually still strongly believe in Kramnik's methodology. This might be the reason why Kramnik's replies to theory/methodology/calculation based rebuttals is reduced to "bots" and "fans". Perhaps Kramnik is not sick in the mind, but simply that he is unable to comprehend others' works (in addition to narrowmindedness). This could explain how weird his responses are. Now it could make more sense that Kramnik, who lacks post-secondary education, might read/interpret everything as a simple "you're wrong". If Kramnik is unable to absorb the information being fed to him and is narrowminded, then he would only believe he holds the one true stat. Prior to your comment, I was more worried about Kramnik's health because he exhibited similar symptoms of certain patients I've observed. To be honest, I hope it is this new possibility because I do hope Kramnik (and everyone else) to be healthy. But honestly the situation is so absurd that I still worry that it could be the other possibility.
@RaniaIsAwesome Any level-headed adult who knows anything about how statistics and probabilities work knows Kramnik is full of shit with his baseless accusations. With the amount of games Hikaru has played it would be very unlikely if he hadn't gotten multiple win streaks like that. If you toss a coin thousands of times and at some point you get a very long streak of heads or tails it would be within expectations. If I cherry pick that long streak and make claims about how unlikely that streak is without taking into account how many repetitions you had to make to get that streak and called you a cheater you probably wouldn't be too happy about it. And we aren't talking about 50/50 coin tosses in Hikaru's case. Based on their elo differences. His expected win rate against 350 elo rating weaker players is 88%.

Kramnik really tried accusing an ex speed chess champion and one of the top chess creators about cheating💀
absolutely
The Hikarumori will prevail! It's a shame because Kramnik had an amazing career, and this is just a pungent stain on his historically important legacy.
Kramnik beginning his villain ark with this
"buy proper calculators..." Omg I lost it
Kranik is entering his Fischer phase
Considering that Kramnik himself was once accused of cheating, you'd think he'd behave less stupidly.
🤷🏻♂️
Projection is real
He should think it over in the shitter before responding 🤣
its projection, all this crusade is proving is that kramnik is a cheater
that's just it though, his ego is hurt cuz he was the one being accused of cheating and now he got rekt
Mike Tyson once said, "Social media made y'all way to [sic] comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it."
The most based thing said in this century
Better hope he doesn't see that [sic] and pop you for it
the man who is known for accusing people of cheating getting mad when people say hes accusing people of cheating is actually insane
And 'scuse me but we are not going to forget when Topalov had to lock down the bathroom, very sussy on the part of Kramnik.
Wholesome ❤
You're making the best point that Mr Kramnik is acting like he doesn't know how the web works. But also, using a threat of legal action to publicly make demands is going to look very bad on him in court!
Pretty sure Hikaru could take legal action against him, too.
But I bet Hikaru literally doesn't even care.
Lol hikaru's fanboys are everywhere....
Exactly, the judge and jury will both likely turn on him as they realize he started everything and hurt Hikaru in the process
@@kitsune090 How does Putin taste?
Judging from the comments, his supporters are much more reactionary and botlike
@RaniaIsAwesome I'm sorry Mr. Mathematician but can you please provide your credentials to determine something is suspicious?
It’s shocking the ratio of views to comments and even more shocking the ratio and rude comments to nice comments
