- Welcome to Pacific Palisades, just outside of Los Angeles, California. In this video, we will take a drive down the Pacific Coast Highway and head to the former home of Friends' star Matthew Perry. This was his last home and the home where he unfortunately passed away. After Matthew Perry's death, he was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, where we will also pay our respects and visit his grave.

I listened to his audio book. It's actually him reading it. Once I did, I could see how he was affected by many of the things that happened in his childhood and teen years. It touched my heart for him and gave me a different perspective on how he came to be the person he was. I loved Matthew Perry. He gave me so many laughs and continues to when I watch clips. It reminds me of Robin Williams. So cheerful and bringing humor and laughter to others, while inside they were so miserable and unhappy. Breaks my heart. Thanks for this video. I will always remember him with love.
He seemed like a great guy who just struggled with some demons. I’m looking for that audiobook today too actually.
I just finished it too. It broke my heart. He was a tortured soul from an early age. He was also very dedicated to Friends and never wanted to let his co-stars down. I’ve seen every episode of Friends at least (not exaggerating) 100 times. When I think about the episodes of his and Monica’s wedding, I remember in the book he says he was actually in an in-patient rehab center at the time. They would drive him to work, and then pick him back up and take him back to the rehab. He said as bad as his addiction was, he never went to work high and tried his best to be the best he could be because he loved his co-stars like family, and never wanted to let them down. Before I read it, he was just another actor that let drugs take over his life. After I read it, I had a completely different opinion of him. He was tortured by inner demons that he had been fighting since he was a child. It was very sad.
I have the hardback book and the audio book via audible. I read the book before he died but only listened to the audio book afterwards. Very hard to hear his voice but as it continues, it becomes comforting. I still can’t watch Friends without crying.

He was awesome I used to play poker with him at the Bike Casino in Los Angeles California charity events , fun guy and great friend, always .miss him like I used to tell him after I get beat from the poker game or he would "Till we meet again my friend"🎸🎸🙏🙏

Awwwwwww I think about Matt everyday and I would have given anything to sit down with him at a nice dinner and got to know him. Just his personality always gave great vibes.. Keith, Courtney, Jennifer, Lisa, David, Matt L, and all the FRIENDS GANG said he was such a kind loving soul. So please don't anyone come at me and say I'm obsessed with someone I didn't even know him bc my last comment received a lot of hate and that's very disrespectful. I love you Mathew Perry "Chandler Bing" I know you said you didn't want to be remembered for "FRIENDS" but it's a legend and you will never be forgotten.

Great job on the video as always Frayzel seeing his house and his grave which still needs a plaque on it, I remember where I was when I learned that he passed away it was a Sunday afternoon day after, I was on my way home from Brisbane after doing improv class and when I got home, I look down on the screen on the Sky News and it said that Matthew Perry passed away and I was shocked and then I told my mom Because she was a big fan of Friends that she was Deeply Shocked when I told her that look on her face meant that his death came as a complete surprise and it’s sad how it all ended he looked like he was getting back on track only to eventually have him die in the end Matthew Perry was one of a kind and how the whole world is still poorer for his passing
I worked on the movie Fools Rush In with Matthew when I lived in Las Vegas, he was very nice and kind

Thanks for another great video. The day Mathew died, I watched the reports & they showed his address. I went to Google maps & checked out his home, similar photos to yours. But I found others, before he purchased it about a year earlier & there was no pool/jacuzzi.
As I remember, he bought it for $6 million & made modifications inside as well as the backyard area. That side of the street does have a peaceful view of the ocean. But that just shows you how much homes were in that neighborhood in 2022.
There was a hot tub/small pool prior to Matthew buying the property but it wasn’t an infinity pool like it is now. I think he intended this to be his forever home given the changes he made to the home.
Very interesting! I always like to see these peoples homes and such. It just gives a little glimpse into their private lives and gives an idea of how they lived. I just heard this week that authorities are still looking into his death and a famous woman is being questioned about supplying him with the Ketamine. Im patiently waiting to hear who it is.

As a recovering Alcoholic/Addict from the UK the behaviours when "under the influence" were night and day (AA calls it Jekyll & Hyde). I was a nasty disgraceful person under the influence. I am not saying Matthew was but nothing surprises me of old behaviours of addicts and things that appear later down the line. Its sad but shows addiction doesnt care about wealth or fame.

I think he got to enjoy his money for some time. The Friends show was off the air for pretty long before he passed away. Having this nice new house with pool & hot tub, and sports car is enjoyment.
Show ended in 2004, so 23 1/2 (ish) years. Didnt they get a million an episode for part of the run? So, $24 million or so for a few years. Plus residuals. Yeah. He wasn’t broke.

The world misses him dearly! If I was at his gravesite, I could say a million things to him, how I grew up watching him on "Friends" I read his book last year ,got me to stop drinking for awhile, when I was going through a hard time with my family ( father and two sisters, awful people!), he got me to smile again!😊Finally, I had a lot of celeb crushes in the past and out of those celeb crushes Matthew was my celeb dream guy despite his addiction!🤎

I’m guessing, maybe he didn’t have a Will? That would explain why his car is still in the driveway and maybe why the house hasn’t been sold? Just a thought. Either way death is so hard - maybe the family isn’t ready to move his belongings. 🙏😢
That is very possible. I wouldn’t imagine moving forward would be quick or easy for any of the family.
I believe he had a will and also a trust fund. I don’t know how long probate takes in the US but his possessions can’t be dispersed until probate has been granted. The family may not sell his last home because it will be associated with his death.
But I could be very wrong!
If he had a trust set up, tben it wouldn’t go into probate. That’s the point of the trust. He would have assigned an executor and the trust wound lay out exactly what he wanted to happen with his money and possessions.
His will was released a few weeks ago - quite straight forward really. Not too sure why the car is still there - chances are, it’s the last thing on his parents mind right now.

I just dont understand why they choose to be interred in a wall especially if they are very high up...how can loved ones leave floral tributes when they can barely see the inscriptions
