Fk that sht, I didn't vote for it, and I live here too. But to be fair, I don't think Mark Roncetti would have done anything better. He would have just copied Texas, and they don't seem to be dealing with it any better. It's all coming from the policies of the Biden administration.
You only have to look at the local news in Republican controlled states to see they have no grip on the issue either. Busing your homeless and banning their existence doesn't solve the problem
Fix and expand the shelters so homeless can feel safe going and getting help. There is not enough capacity and the shelter is considered dangerous and unclean by the homeless population who feel safer taking their chance on the streets. The shelters need to provide more substance use treatment and behavioral health programs. Also need caseworkers that follow-up on the homeless to get them the resources needed to climb out of poverty. Finally, build a TON of housing public and private so housing prices crash and become affordable to the average person so people stop falling into homelessness in the first place.

This isn’t a homeless problem, this is a drug problem, and rent increases problem, not every homeless wants to be homeless.
You don’t want people taking things into their hands, it would be bloody
Instead of allowing immigrants, our city, state, and nation need to take care of our own problems.
When it comes right down to it, people really don't want anything done.

Street homeless are fentanyl and Tranq addicts. They are the lost cause, and they destroy everything around themselves.
We need rent control. And the only way to solve this is by giving them homes.
Sorry but if you live anywhere near central this is the norm. Not sure why the fuss. Don’t like it? Better move to rio rancho.
