At the El Capitan theater in Hollywood, California, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced the full lineup of Phase 3 films for the Marvel Cinematic Universe including The Avengers: Infinity War. Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man) and Chris Evans (Captain America) made special appearances, along with Marvel newcomer Chadwick Boseman to play Black Panther.

Seeing Chadwick’s gratefulness and excitement to be a part of these movies is genuinely sad yet heartwarming. He pushed out amazing movie after amazing movie before he left us, you have to respect him.

4 years later and we still have two more of those films to go. Almost all of those films were epic (Civil War, Doctor Strange, Guardians 2, Thor 3, Black Panther, Infinity War).

And after seeing Doctor Strange, he wasn't kidding. The visuals were some of the most amazing and trippiest I've ever seen in a movie in a long time.
The visuals have me jaw dropping when The Ancient One was showing Doctor Strange the new realm, it was so amazing.

I find it funny how Thor Ragnarok is marketed here as very spooky and dark, but it ended up being one of the most goofy movies in the MCU.
That’s one of the things I hated the most about that movie. The logo for Ragnarok here looked dark and gloomy, which made me think we were gonna get an accurate telling of the book, which is a dark and serious story btw, But the movie turned into a guardians of the galaxy rip-off. I just wanna know what the hell happened for the movie to come out the way it did

Watching this in 2021 feels like it was a few decades ago, how far the MCU has came.
He was announced five years ago with intense hype. He changed the MCU and simultaneously won the hearts of millions upon millions of adoring fans, some who looked to him as a hero, one they could recognize when they looked into the mirror. He was taken far too early, Rest In Peace, Chadwick, Wakanda forever! ❤️

Man you are so right. I used to hate all the superhero movies like from iron man up to all of them. I was convinced that it was method of hollywood to still make money, althoug where they are without inspiration and good ideas for real movies.... So from iron man 1 up to age of ultron i radically ignored every movie about superheros and so in. Till i saw a ascene with hulkbuster suit fighting hulk crashing him through the building. It left me speechless for like 3 minutes or so and then googled, first thing i saw was the civil war trailer and i was like : " fuck im gonna watch the mc universe including the series and tv shows so i can understand everything in civil war when im in theatres. Btw #teamironman here!

I've been thinking that for months. There will undoubtedly be a Phase 4 announcement, and Fantastic Four would make so much sense, and would definitely be a focal point. They already have several unannounced release dates. I'm sure there are behind-the-scenes talks taking place. We'll see if anything happens, cause people would lose their shit! Spider-Man has already proven to be a massive success just based on his fairly brief Civil War appearance. Sony and Marvel are gonna make a ton of money (plus they now have Michael Keaton!). Fox must be paying attention to the possibilities.

They had already tried to get Galactus and Silver Surfer back from Fox years ago, in exchange for keeping the rights to Daredevil (a gritty 1970's version which they were developing; but the contract, or something or another, was at it's end). Fox said no and lost Daredevil. Obviously it worked out for Marvel anyway. Fox having Fantastic Four didn't work out for them in a recent film. I guarantee Feige intended to use Galactus, or probably still intends to, but couldn't. It would be phenomenal! And Thanos is gonna be great; cannot wait! But after seeing the ancient celestial head in Guardians of the Galaxy (Knowhere), I know they could pull off Galactus in the MCU. It would be epic, and an obvious way to follow up Infinity War and Phase 3 in general.

It's crazy how time passes you by. I remember watching this video a while after I saw the Age of Ultron trailer and I was just new to being a fan of the MCU. I remember being so hyped for this and let's be honest, it's flat out amazing everything went as planned (RIP Inhumans) or let's be honest, even better, with a Spider-man movie and an Ant-man sequel. When you compare it to other studios who planned out a cinematic universe, it's a downright miracle we got the amazing experience we did, instead of the absolute trainwreck it could've been.
So many things have changed over the years and yet, I'm still as excited for the MCU as I was 6 years ago.

This randomly popped up in my feed today and god damn...I miss this time of Marvel lol. Of course there's nostalgia and Rose-tinted glasses at work, but the excitement for phase 3 was incredible. Back when it felt like Marvel really knew what they were doing and had a plan.
Yeah, I especially love the grimdark logo for Thor Ragnarok and Feige describing it like it's gonna be MCU's Return of the King, only then for them to change it to a rainbow puke logo and have the movie to be a remake of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Spider-Man wasn’t actually even planned the time this happened. That’s why lots of release dates were changed because Sony and Marvel teamed up after this panel and marvel had to squeeze Spider-Man in.
In the interview after this event Feige said that they only announced what had been confirmed backstage. Any ongoing talks were kept secret.

I swear I'm trying my best to not cry. This video is one huge ball of bittersweet nostalgia. I still remember the hype like it was yesterday. I still remember that I was counting days for Age of Ultron, the first trailer still gives goosebumps. I was like "hey, 220 days to Age of Ultron, not much left", so many good memories, so many good friends along the way that I made. And also, rest in peace Chadwick Boseman and all those who lost their lives while waiting for seeing Thanos on screen. It breaks my heart. We're so lucky to be witnessed to this voyage. I'm definitely going to talk about THIS video to my kids.

+FearHype what will they have for phase 4 as after Infinity War i don't see RDJ being iron man anymore and i have heard that even Chris Evans has had some contract issues with marvel i mean they've got the inhumans for sure but what else, i could possibly see another Ant-Man movie or Captain Marvel maybe even a fourth Thor but the problem that i see is there is no big villain. Thanos has to die in Infinity war so who will be the new big threat or will they even have one.
+TheSyndicator Personally, I say go small again. I'm not sure for Avengers 4/5, but with the individual movies there is a ton of untapped potential. So many characters haven't even made their debut. (For instance: Nova, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, just to name a few) And with those characters come new villains. So maybe a small villain team-up for the big bads in the Avengers movies.. Or even something like the Sinister Six.
FearHype I will admit i have always been more into Star Wars than Marvel so i don't know a lot of those characters so im just going off what i know like iv'e wanted a Loki movie{ if he survives to phase 4 }since the first Thor plus i don't see any villains that could present a big enough threat to link all the new movies like Thanos has except Doctor Doom{ if he is as powerful as i have heard he is in the comics }but he is owned by Sony and with the other characters you mentioned i think Marvel would make movies that average viewers know about or will know about before Phase 4 like Captian Marvel or Ant-Man hell even Black Panther i will even cast my vote for a Lady Sif movie as every time i see Jamie Alexander she steals my attention{ as you can tell i love the Thor characters }and isn't the Sinister Six also owned by Sony
Yeah, Sony owns the rights to Sinister Six, but since the whole Spider-man shared deal, all if not most of his supporting cast can appear in the MCU. And I get what you're saying about the villains, but I really believe after Infinity War we will have a team up of villains against the New Avengers. Also, I believe it's Fox who owns Doctor Doom since he is a Fantastic Four villain. But trust me the characters I mentioned before a pretty big compared to even Guardians of the Galaxy, and look how well that movie and now franchise performed for Marvel.
