Hi there! Hafa Adai from California! Just came across your channel. I’m Guamanian born on Guam. Love your trip to Guam. My grand parents, parents, aunts and uncles names are on that Memorial. They were in the Japanese concentration camps on Guam during the War (lots of stories). Thank you soooo much for sharing and loving our island! I subscribed! Blessings to You!

Oh, how I wish you guys had gotten some detailed footage of the beach along the east side of Asan Point. That was the area where the 9th Marine Regiment, 3td Marine Division made the beachhead in July, 1944. My father was with the 9th Marines. If you guys have ANY footage or photos of the small bay on the east side of Asan Point, I would be eternally grateful if you posted them. Yu guys made a great video! Thanks and Semper Fi.

You can kind of see it when we're at the WWII monument from up high, but I can add it to the list for next time. Bryan lives in Guam though.

It's not called Magellan's lookout. It's called Fort Soledad located on the southwestern coast of Guam. The southernmost point is further down the road.

First off the French Toast at Eggs 'N Things... HOLY CRAP! That looked AMAZING! Unhealthy as flip, but amazing. Anyway on to the recap.
Today's adventure sees our favourite Bearded nerd and his guest/sidekick Sega Pluto going around the island, with one of their local friends exploring many sites. They attempt to find a Japanese spice with next to no information to go on for somebody, and may or may not have succeeded. Later the two humans and one, erm video game console prototype go to a local coffee shop with a suggestive name to get some caffeine before continuing to explore the island. They go see some historical WWII/other conflict sites and teaching his loyal viewers the history of these events. And to round out the event filled day the go to a mall and find a remnant of an old Toy Store chain, with tons of knockoff toys and things.
A very eventful day. Hope you had a great time in Guam. And once again thanks for taking us along.

Adam, first off thank you for exposing my home island to your subscribers! I recently relocated to AZ back in 2019 and missing home sooooo much! Thank you for loving my home the way the natives of Guam do!
PS I literally tasted the kimchi fried rice when you showed it. (Nothing else compares tbh)
    Happy traveling 💕

I was a student in the US and was taught that Japan invaded Guam and the Phillipines during the early days of WWII. I also was taught about George Tweed, and other Americans, who evaded the Japanese and Tweed, with the help of people on Guam, even managed to survive until the Americans returned.
I wish that you had shown the War Dog Memorial that is on Guam. Overall, a good video.

I guess it depends on where you went to school, since school curriculum varies state by state. But where I went, we were definitely taught that at the same time as the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, there was a simultaneous assault all across the Pacific and many islands were captured. December 7th in Hawaii, December 8th everywhere else.

And there is a Starbuck place, at the old old Sheraton Hotel (have a different hotel name 2022) and Westin Hotel. And yes you jackpot breakfast restaurant, another great breakfast resturant (well known on Guam), called Shirley's Coffee Shop, or just Shirleys , Shirley's fried rice with over easy eggs and porkchops is my FaV.

I've been teaching my students (in Joliet) about Guam, the Phillipines, and the Aleutian Islands for the past 12 years while teaching the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Perhaps you were taught about it, but there was so much that you forgot? I'm excited to see that you're going to Saipan. My students loved learning about Guy Gabaldan. Maybe you'll see something about him there?
I love this series in Guam, thus far. I've always wanted to visit the American islands in the Pacific Ocean. Keep up the good work!

How is the housing market like in Guam? I know in CNMI people are not allowed to own homes unless you were born there, so the long lease is more prevalent.

Which, sadly, I have to order it through their app system for the states. Don’t worry, I have a sister, who lives back there. So, at least I got one thing covered for the time being. As for anything else, it will be through Amazon.

Give the Hungarian lady your buddies contact info, maybe he can mail her some of those spices. Lol. I finished high school in seattle and found it sad? Irritating? That I had to learn "US history" and students stateside didn't know much about Guam. Oh well. That's how it goes his-story (of the author)
