Hi Richard, firstly thanks I really enjoyed your speach on the day. I'm an English lady of 58 who took a couple of days off work to travel down from Scotland to celebrate St George's day and visit our capital London. I arrived at Waterloo Station by myself but quickly got talking to 3 other ladies of a similar age to me who also came by themselves. Not hard to make friendly connections because that's who the English are. We all decided to walk together and ended up spending the day together laughing, chatting, listening to the speeches and having a good singalong to the music. We did not let the dark shadow of the Met police ruin our day. I was appalled by the hostility shown towards us in our own capital. The police looked upon us all as criminals and were very provocative and hostile in their appearance. For goodness sake what rampaging they thought us 4 musketeers of a certain age were going to unleash God only knows. After the talks we decided to go to the local pub for a glass of wine or 2 to continue our celebration and new found friendship. We had 2 drinks and the second was served in a plastic flute. The bar staff were told not to serve drinks in glass anymore??? We tried to buy a 3rd round but were asked to leave because the police had told the bar to shutdown and stop serving us St George people. I'd like to add there was no trouble or misbehaving going on in the bar. What a very disappointing way to be treated while visiting London. Did not spoil my trip and I will be flying my English flag and celebrating our St George's day next year. I will be holding my head high and saying yes I'm English to the core and very proud to be❤🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I served in Northern Ireland for 3 years in total, and we were calmer than those police in a riot. If the police were expecting trouble then by all means deploy the police, but what they could have done was park up around the corner, and stayed in their vans, then if trouble did break out they were there. This was no doubt aggressive two-tier policing, none of which we seen at the pro-Hamas hate marches. IN my humble opinion, on the 1st of June when Tommy Robinson leads a protest against two-tier policing, the police will be even worse.

I fear the simple answer is this- there are too many fanatical people that have been imported and sadly homegrown. Their belief is their life. There are not actually that many police officers in this country, if all of the citizens of any decent sized city all got together as one and kicked off the whole countries police force would struggle. We are not organized enough, I’m proud to hear of those who got together, but it is more h easier, and looks better and suits the agenda to jump on proud British men and women than it is to stop huge amounts of fanatical groups. We have literally imported an army over the years, I think deliberately, and the police know damn well they are out of control. The sad fact is we must group in much higher numbers or this will keep happening ❤

I watched from Whitehall to this deliberate 'attack' by the Met., they were peaceful, singing patriotic songs, no intimidating nor display of hostility. They all wanted to go into the pub as the pubs en route were closed, and they knew Tommy, Laurence and Mahyar Tousi were in there. Then 6 special forces vans came battling in, holding up the traffic (a taxi driver asked them to move as his clients were 'bricking themselves'!). Up and until this, the celebration of St George's day, a day of displays of patriotism and religious reflection was very nearly ruined. Due to the composure of mostly ex forces and even the football boys, this whole situation could have blown out of all proportion. As it was, the police reaction and provocation was totally out of all proportion. An investigation into the police handling of this action must be called for.

Richard Apart from wanting their piece to camera for the mainly scheming mediocre hacks field day of far right headlines , the uniformed oppression brigades were preventing by any means movement to Trafalgar square
Where a certain SADWEE KHANT was hosting his interpretation of
THE ST GEORGE'S DAY FOREIGN MUSIC AND DANCE APPRECIATION EVENT . ..

Many thanks Richard, If you had a first class Police Force, they should have been hidden, and not too visible, but ready to act at short notice. This was obviously planned to cause mayhem, and cause people to be angered by their behaviour. I am 70 a Rhodesian bush war veteran, loosing my vision in both my eyes through a work related incident, (with no help from the authorities), would loved to be there to celebrate St. George’s.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:00 *🚔 Police obstructed protesters from setting up vehicles and equipment for the event.*
    - Police were uncooperative and aggressive from the start.
    - Protesters had to negotiate with police to allow even one vehicle on site for security and sound equipment.
00:57 *😠 An aggressive police officer with red epaulettes caused problems. *
    - This officer seemed to be second-in-command under the gold commander.
    - He was extremely aggressive and obnoxious towards the protesters.
02:04 *🐴 Police horses charged at protesters in an unwarranted manner.*
    - Footage shows police horses charging protesters who were not marching or demonstrating.
    - They were simply moving around in small groups, celebrating St. George's Day.
03:13 *🚫 Police imposed draconian restrictions on protesters' movements.*
    - Protesters were confined to a designated area and not allowed to move freely.
    - This occurred despite it being a celebration of St. George's Day, not just a political demonstration.
04:37 *🍻 Many protesters just wanted to go to pubs and celebrate being English.*
    - The event was meant to celebrate St. George's Day and English identity.
    - Many attendees were not there for political speeches, but just to enjoy themselves at pubs.
05:04 *👮‍♂️ Police took extreme security measures before the event began.*
    - Undercover officers were present, and some pubs were forced to close nearby.
    - Police vehicles lined the streets, creating an intimidating atmosphere.
06:00 *👏 Protesters remained non-violent despite police provocation.*
    - Despite aggressive policing, protesters did not resort to violence.
    - Their restraint is commendable, as violence could have easily erupted.
07:06 *💥 Policing tactics risked serious injury or death.*
    - The aggressive use of police horses could have seriously injured or killed protesters.
    - Holding an illegitimate line also puts officers at risk of harm if lines are breached.
08:40 *🤝 Protest organizers cooperated with police requests when reasonable.*
    - When asked to move protesters for legitimate reasons, organizers complied.
    - This showed a willingness to cooperate and prevent situations from escalating.
09:49 *🍺 Police deliberately prevented access to pubs.*
    - Pubs near the event were forced to close, despite it being St. George's Day.
    - This seemed to be a deliberate provocation, as many just wanted to visit pubs.
10:18 *🎥 Police actions appeared calculated for optics and provocation.*
    - Leadership within the Met Police seemed to make decisions to provoke confrontation.
    - This gave an impression of protesters being violent, when they showed restraint.

Thanks for the update, we all know what the Met did, and from the outset they had plain clothes officers among us, a couple were spotted and they buggered off, we were at Waterloo it was a party atmosphere until we got outside then you saw the TSG and you knew they were not going to let anyone party in large groups, they tried to do the old trick of blocking and dispersing, also it was not just Met police there, there were officers from all over the place drafted in, and most were 5 feet 2 inches tall, let's see what happens on the 1st June.
