I literally CANNOT believe it, the Surface Pressure MAP is DONE!!
To all my participants:
I am so proud of you and I am over the moon about you all being in this MAP! You did incredible, and the way this MAP flows?? The amount of effort in every frame? I am so impressed by ALL of you! Thank you so so much!!

I hope you enjoy this! I ask that you check out each and every person who participated, they deserve all the love!
This MAP is about Tsunami's struggle to juggle her life and her chaotic family. In the books, the poor girl never caught a break. It was either saving the world or saving her thirty-something relatives. She never got an in between, and while I'm absolutely aware that this isn't an original idea for a MAP, I think it's nice that Tsunami is getting this sort of recognition. Yes, she was a girlboss, but she had a lot to hold too! That's what this MAP is, a recognition of her struggles.

I think this fits her amazingly. She killed Gill, only to figure out it was her dad, finding out she’s a lost heir, having the pressure of protecting her unborn sister for a bit and etc! She really did have some pressure on her hands
if tsunami was evil, she would definitely kill her mother, to finish the job because well, she already killed her dad. Then she becomes an evil queen, because shes a royal and killed her mother. Idk what else. but if she was evil im 78% that would happen

I adore the thumbnail that was chosen so much!!!! It’s really creative and amazing. I’m obsessed with the way Tsunami is holding her family members in the bubble thing as if she is responsible for them all, and the position and expression is great. Lighting and style 11/10 as well

this song fits tsunami so well, im so proud of everyone who animated this map, its so beautiful!!!
This really is a fitting song for Tsunami. I have a lot of mixed feelings regarding her character, but there’s no denying she would’ve done anything to keep her group and loved ones safe.
*Edit after the MAP premiered:* This MAP has so much polished talent put into it! It shows the side of Tsunami that is constantly pushing herself to be enough protection for everyone she cares about. On the outside she's unphased by the danger, but on the inside she desperately wants all the weight to be lifted off her so she can pushing herself so hard. I really wish the books did more to show this better side of her character like the MAP did.
Some of my personal favorite bits of the MAP are the deep breath and exhale at 0:12, the amazingly fluid lip sync at 1:08, the objects of stress at 2:48, and the oddly satisfying walk cycle at 2:53. And DragonsRcool deserves an award for their phenomenal job on that entire part from 2:22 to 2:35!

Eek this actually made me relive that apart from starflight tsunami is probably the most tortured, haveing post traumatic stress from killing her own father and having to protect everyone she cares about

THIS IS STRAIGHT UP INCREDABLE!!! You can see how much effort each of the animators put into this. Tsunami is one of my favorite characters, and the designs, script, and the overall product are just so fitting!

I love how accurate this is to her personality. I imagine that she would be guilty and sad about what she did to Gill. And I think it's weird how she never really shows that after her book. So this is kinda like how I think she feels about it underneath the brave courageous personality. But anyways I LOVE the art in this, it's amazing.

My favorite part was around 1:49 (bit later) when tsunami was trying to stop anemone from her magic and it shows the current her and the younger her but in all honesty this entire map is awesome.
