This great song was recorded at least 3 times. The original 45, the perfect youth lp version with Dimwit on drums, and this 3rd version (actually recorded first!) exclusive to this video. This and the 45 version feature Robert Bruce on drums as seen in this video. Cheers!
When Dimwit passed away back in the mid-'90s, 'Backtrax' on MuchMusic played a set of Van-city punk bands he was in and this promo was one of the videos-but now I know it WASN'T him on drums!
AMAZING track!!!!! This track grabbed me from the first time I heard it. It's so catchy and different from anything at its time. Thanks for the post!!!
@PanoplyCabaret Not as yet. 3 versions have made it to vinyl. The 7" 45 version, obviously on 45, is also on the compilation "waiting for the real thing" vinyl lp, as is the 1st "Dimwit" version recorded in England and rejected by Stiff records. The later Vancouver version with Dimwit is on all pressings of "Perfect Youth". There are other unreleased versions both live and studio as well. Cheers!
thank you so much for the upload, this song is a gem and I'm very glad this is still here❤
