Nice video! Would love to see more of these.
Ive got a Synology DS720+ 4TB (will upgrade to 16TB soon)
1GbE is enough in my opinion, but it is also possible to get 2GbE out of it, so I am fine. :)
Would love to see a workflow for Davinci Resolve users
Thanks Norain1992! Let me know what you’d like to see for Resolve workflow?

Hi! I'm, about 2 seconds from pulling the trigger on purchasing the NAS however I do have one question that relates to its remote capabilities. If I had a person working remotely, would they still need to download the footage/files from the NAS to their desktop or external drive in order for them to not experience 'lagging'? Or would the remote worker be able to smoothly utilize the footage directly off the NAS without bringing it onto their computer locally? Thank you!
A remove volume can be mounted to access "directly" but that direct access has the same lag that a download would have and can be cumbersome if a lot of read/write is happening across the net. Apps often have their own caching technqiues to bring down what you are working on locally. My sense is, the larger the source files the more likely you will want to sync / copy down locally to work on them. Remote workers tend to learn what works best when.
