I think the brutes had the standard sentinel beam which is much weaker than the arcane sentinel beam that the marines were equipped with. I could be wrong though, I couldnt see all too clearly.

It is good to see the Razorback squad on foot. They melt everything as long as you position yourself correctly. If there were more than 5 sentinel beam marines they would have defeated everything. Including hunters or high value targets.
It actually makes sense for Sentinel Beams to completely destroy organic matter since the Flood is contagious enough to spread through one cunning spore. If you're gonna kill a zombie, might as well get rid of as much as you can.
The most op thing you can have that is more powerful then a razorback filled with rocket Marines, is a razorback filled with sentinel beam Marines. Even takes out phantoms pretty quickly.
See if the unsc cared they would give unlimited heavy weapons to marines against the covenant instead of rifles that can empty a clip and not kill one sanghelli elite
Actually I think the reason the other chieftains didn't engage was because they were looking for you. Assuming you likely spawned them shooting them out of your pistol or something the action of shooting the second and 3rd ones out likely alerted the already spawned in one of an enemy nearby even though they're supposed to ignore your existence. And when enemies in this game think there's an enemy closer by them than the ones they can visually see shooting them they'll completely ignore the attacks until they know the enemy nearby is farther away than the attackers. Ik its incredibly stupid but in order to get them to attack properly you would've had to shoot another round or something when getting back to the marines so that they know for sure there's not some invisible hostile directly underneath them
This is probably what forerunner soldiers would look like fighting against the flood. Well probably against any race they faced with their hardlight weapons.
See this is what I was talking about, if humans reverse engineered the forerunners technology they could beat all the alien races but nooooo, they just keep using the same weapons since the start of the covenant war 🙄

The AI still sometimes just doesn't notice the enemies firing straight at them, an example would be one of the Jackal skirmishers at the end
