Back in my younger days I was a brake mechanic, we hardly ever replaced drums or rotors, we would turn them on a brake lathe, I guess like everything else that’s a lost art too.
    God bless 🙏🇺🇸

By the way - at my yard the rotors have their own price which is higher than your regular "heavy steel." Rotors go over by the steel shred, by themselves, then we turn in our regular heavy steel in the nonferrous building. All of the stuff you thought was heavy steel should be...it's just that you wont get "rotor price" for it. I'd ask about that.

What I was disappointed about was the man in front of me had rotors and other steel mixed and they gave him $.12 a pound for his Scrap Metal and they only gave me $.13 for my Scrap Metal and mine was clean. Just rotors his head if you watched the video, lots of other steel, including rims, so I was disappointed that I got one penny more for a clean load whereas I would have gladly thrown in all my other heavy steel for $.12 and I still would’ve made out better
