The sole source is in Turin in a well-known hand, found in many sources (the hand of the famed Manchester manuscripts), either Vivaldi's father or his nephew. Changes were made to this manuscript in Vivaldi's own hand. The date of composition is uncertain, but could likely be somewhere around 1725-1730. The first movement shares its theme with the last movement of Violin Concerto RV 222 (composed for Chiara). The second movement reprises an old idea, from the larghetto of RV 580 (Opus 3 no. 10) where four solo violins arpeggiate differently, weaving a sonic tapestry; here of course it is only first and second violins + violas. I. Allegro (0:00) II. Andante (2:13) III. Allegro (4:25) Composed: probably after 1720 Turin source: Giordano 30, ff. 278-285 Concordance: mvt1 = ruclips.net/video/-VAXKBfG8j4/видео.html Accademia Bizantina, ‘Concerti per archi III e concerti per viola d’amore’ Ottavio Dantone, direzione Naïve OP 30570
