Sandras voting confessionals really do highlight how she was playing the game. I always did think she didnt play as strong a game as parvati but she was constantly trying to work both sides and her skill was getting to the end without becoming a major target. normally with a player like that gobshite russell you even attempt to work agsisnt him he votes you out next chance he gets but she managed to make it to the end.
And on top of that, I still don’t know how the odds of having 2 precious female winners ended up being the top 2 in heroes vs Villains. It’s like the other players never looked at them as threats when they had the numbers. LOL

Russell is far from the best player, he had a huge advantage going into HvV in that no one had seen his play from Samoa. If they saw that, he would have been first boot guaranteed. He played the game hard yes but he treated his fellow players like absolute shit all game and got what he deserved. However I felt back then and still feel like Parv deserved to win.

Even if he did survive that first vote, I sincerely doubt Tyson questions Russels threat level under those circumstances, and doesn't flip his vote to Parvati and crew up the split vote of the majority alliance in the second vote.

So even if he did make it to the end there was no guarantee he would even have reached twelve. For the record though, Sandra Parvarti and Russel did attend 12 in HvV while Coach Sophie and Albert attended 13 in SoPa. So it actually could've, and in the end did happen though it was never a guantee.
I'd give more credit to Parvati for that than for Russell...she's never been shy about using flirting as part of her winning strategy, and he took the bait hook, line, and sinker...granted, he was the only one on that season that fell for it, so she might be out of touch there. And if Russell does make it back for a future appearance, he needs some serious work on his social skills, because that was what cost him the game every single time.
why do people think russel is a backstabber? he's a shitty person maybe, but both the first time he played he got to the merge with an alliance of 4 vs 8, and didn't turn on any of his alliance until they were the last ones left, in hvv he got to the merge 5 vs 5 and his 5 were the final 5...he doesn't swap sides, he stays with his group...which is why it made no sense on rob vs russel season for russels tribe to vote him out right away...obviously they paid the price and just got crushed by rob because of it
It's pretty obvious in some cases. Corrine, in particular, is extremely monotonous--especially in her epic jury speech towards Sugar. That one was obviously recited. There was absolutely not spontaneous. I think the only real "on the fly" speech that I was impressed with was Reed's Evil Step Mother speech towards Missy, lol.
I think that evil stepmother speech was as rehearsed as Corinne's was...to me, there were other more memorable ones that came off as more raw and authentic....particularly Sue's infamous rats and snakes speech, and Trish's speech to Tony...Reed's just came across as a bid for more camera time and seeing if he could get a future All Stars slot out of it

For example, he put 4 in the corner at the Randy vote and D is the fourth letter of the alphabet. He put 18 at his elimination which corresponded with R being the 18th letter of the alphabet. She did lean more in that direction once she was on the Villains tribe but even on Cook Islands her confessional on the eventual winner Yul says something like, "Yul is this super smart and strong Stanford, Yale guy, so we just want to get him out as soon as possible."
