I'm a casual listener and I was blown away with this comeback. It's been on loop. The song is such a hard hitting song but not overwhelming, it builds up so well and the release is so satisfying. The MV...gosh I love it, their facial expressions and the choreo are top notch (shout out to bbtrippin who also work with ATEEZ!). I need more of this Everglow, I love it!

Everglow's style continues to mature wonderfully, this song completely has, and I mean this as a compliment in every way, something more in line with a boy group structured release (both in terms of pacing and hard hitting choreo, I'm getting a SM feel, although DC could be said to break that mold as well) and I truly hope that this becomes a trend and helps to break down the lines between gendered kpop notions. Although I did find myself wondering if I would like the song as much had it been done by a boy group, say an NCT unit, and I'm not sure I would have.
Not NCT, but maybe ATEEZ since their choreographer made this choreography :) I personally don't get an SM feel, but I've become a very casual fan of SM over the years. I think ever since the company treated Simon and Martina so badly that they gave up interviewing idols, I've been annoyed with SM. I listen to songs coming from their artists, and try to not hold it against them, but it's hard to get beyond the dislike of the company as a whole. So I'm probably biased since I'd rather my fave group not be compared to anyone from SM lol.

SM is definitely not without sin and I get having a distrust of a company, Cube (or YG for that matter) and I are not on the best terms, I just don't like how they do business and hopefully they can both change. It's not too late to be more supportive of All their musical groups and provide equitable treatment for every group, regardless of generated revenue, and their individual members within them, this last part definitely being directed at Cube. Because the bridge and vocal style like dreamcatcher. So its you think similar. But dreamcatcher beat is strong electronic guitar . Everglow beat is swag and like EDM. Their dance strong because their choreographer is Ateez choreographer. This MV use more CG. Remember their company is movie, drama company and rich so that easy for them. And dreamcatcher use CG in BOCA and Odd Eye too. So its make you think that similar and you think you used to see it.
The MV is very impressive, some awesome editing and special effects! As for the song, I do like it, but probably not as much as most people, which is totally fine. I still think it's good, but it's just not my favorite title track from them. I try to not let Onda not getting lines frustrate me because it's sadly to be expected, but she's my bias and I have a hard time enjoying their music when she barely gets to sing. Yeah I know she got some center time and a nice dance break at the end, but it's terrible that they can't do better line distribution with only 6 girls. Bigger groups do better than this. Alright, I'm done with my rant lol. I still enjoyed this and like I said I'm really impressed by the MV. The two bsides are solid as well. Good comeback!
Funny how the lyrics of the song is also about empowering us to overcome ourselves; the music and mv really brought out the essence from the song! Music transcends language barriers, could see that you felt it too!
I love that they didn’t “girl-ify” it, they did the concept as it is and it’s almost more respectable that way. Girl groups have only recently started venturing out of their confort zone of concepts. But this is one that is almost exclusively for boy groups, and that’s why it’s so cool that Everglow did this specific concept, without making the pants short skirt, or adding glittery backgrounds, or pink makeup. None of that is bad, i actually love that concept, but this seems to silently defy the norm of girl group concepts. Props to them for that! 💜
