An excellent idea for anyone who uses both standard (manual) and electronic wheelchairs. I have a friend who uses an electronic wheelchair to get around.

This should be adapted to older taxis that are still on the road. If you have a relative or a friend who has trouble climbing into the cab, this looks like it could work. If you have a relative or a friend who needs a wheelchair to get around, this could work.

Electric wheelchairs do not have gears, you mean a low speed setting, and all areas need these but the drivers need to be trained to respect us and not drive past

Everything look like a tradition even the wheelchair accessible taxis

"low gear"! in an electric wheelchair. I've looked all over mine and I can't find a gearstick!

Try doing this at midnight in the middle of winter, in the rain and in the middle of a busy road.

No way most wheelchair users can fit in these things. Especially if you have an electric chair - accessibility fail.

London has the most stupid assed dangerous wheelchair taxis in the world and most drivers will not pick up wheelchairs... and scooters are completely out of luck..
