You can't watch a Carl Barks tribute without mention of The Seven Cities of Cibola inspiring Spielberg and Lucas. Lol. I guess that's okay. He really deserves so much more notoriety.
I've finally after some years completed my collection of the earliest Donald Duck Carl Barks Walt Disney Comics & Stories from issues 31-63. (1943-1945) Plus Four Color #62 Donald Duck Frozen Gold and the 1943-1945 Donald and Mickey Merry Christmas Firestone Giveaway comics with the first appearance of Grandma Duck from 1945. There are a couple of other early Barks Donald Duck I'd love to get 'Donald Duck Finds Pirate Gold' Four Color #9 and Four Color #29 'Donald Duck and the Mummy's Ring,' But those two are really outside of my price range just now and I'm pretty content with what I've gotten. 😁
FYI at 6:03 that's a Don Rosa cover, not Barks. Although obviously it's tough to tell them apart at times since Rosa's whole career was an homage to Barks.
Nice catch! I owned that album (Gladstone's 11th comic album), and it's still one of my favorites. A wonderful Rosa cover to one of my all time favorite Barks full-length stories.
The rolling rock scene is actually from a B-movie from thirties or forties, there even has been a video here floating around in which the original scene and Indiana Jones footages are juxtaposed.
Thank you so much ,.Master of Ducks . 😘👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I own original copies of most of Carl's duck comics. Fortunately my mother didn't throw anything away and neither did I.

Yes but then again it was a cover for a reprint of an old Barks Story
Is it my pc or are this footage lagging?

I love mosr of the Duck family, but I hate Gladstone Gander! I would always hope that Donald would beat him, in spite of Gladstone"s infernal luck!
😌
