Formulae are the backbone of generative art, providing the framework through which artists can create captivating artworks. The are a set of step-by-step instructions used to create artworks programmatically. These algorithms can range from simple mathematical formulas to complex procedural processes. They dictate how elements such as shapes, colors, textures, and patterns are generated and arranged within the artwork.
By leveraging formulae, artists can imbue their creations with a sense of dynamism and unpredictability, leading to artworks that evolve over time or respond to external stimuli.
