Saw them live with Matt the summer they were touring for California, which was the first blink album I've loved in a long time, and they were fantastic. I was a huge fan of both blink and alkaline trio all through high school and Matt skiba was a huge influence on my early songwriting, so it was like the best of both worlds for me. Nowadays I'm into stuff like Metallica, Iron Maiden, Sabbath, Megadeth etc. But I had that punky phase when I was younger lol. Nostalgia.
How times change is insane. I had my punk|emo phase in highschool back in the day when the SelfTitled was released... The moved into more metal thongs and then got into an entirely different musical journey... California got me back into blink after 10 years, and reading your moment make me think how the self titled felt to me, California did to you. Im just babbling here....cheers

I always liked Alkaline Trio more than Blink 182. He gives more street cred to the power-pop Blink.
