    If the person voicing the second incarnation of Orwell is the same guy who was the corporate version of Rolfe, then his Orwell honestly sounds more like Rolfe than his actual Rolfe!

    One of my local museums had an animatronic dinosaur mech they’d occasionally put out. It’d be alongside various (less advanced than the mech) dinos. People could control it via a panel with buttons like Orwell. As a kid it was the coolest thing (and even as an adult still pretty cool) to get to control a character and see how it works. It was always my favorite thing and I’d get so excited when they’d have it.
    I also remember one of the Dino’s skins being worn out once. If you looked through the tail you could see the mech/shells a bit. It felt so awesome getting to see how the cosmetics sat on a mech to make it become a character.
    I can only imagine it must have been a similar experience for kids who experienced Orwell.

    is it known if orwell and pappy were at the same location? frequent guests probably would’ve noticed they were going a little insane playing with the klunk mech

    • @showbizpizzacom
      @showbizpizzacom  Год назад +7

      That’s what Paul Linden remembered - that they were both used in the Richardson store (and only there).
      It’s not clear if they were used simultaneously or if they only had one Klunk mech and it was recycled for both Pappy and then Orwell later. It’s quite possible they were sitting on two of them since a few dozen were made and almost all ended up in the possession of ShowBiz since they purchased them.
      But because of the limited Klunk “stock” it’s weird they even attempted this. It would have been impossible to roll this out very far before they ran out of mechs. Would have been a great use for Billy Bob post-CU though. 🤷‍♂️

      @@showbizpizzacom I have one theory. I think SPT might of was thinking about have either Dave Thomas's Company or Animation World doing a Mech that was very very similar to Klunk's mech for both Pappy and Orwell if the ran out of stock.
