The electronics need a minimum voltage to work, so even though the battery took three days to die, the electronics probably weren't operating optimally after the first 24 hours. A better test would be to play it each day after leaving it plugged in to see how it sounds. When it sounds like crap it's time to change the battery.
I purchased rechargeable batteries because of how often I play, but never took the time to quantify an approximate number. Nice job. Thanks for the video!
The last 9 volt I put in my guitar lasted about 6mo. Using it to tune daily and play for an hour 2x a month...previous one lasted much longer. Thanks for the video.
ive been playing for about 7/8 years mostly electric but about to buy a nice acoustic to start gigging and safe to say it has blown my mind that i never knew electro acoustics needed batteries i always thought you just plugged them in and go
I keep draining my batteries because I forget to turn off the tuner... Always happens to me and then comes the recording day and the guitar has no battery left xdd I spend like a million in batteries last year...
I have an acoustic electric guitar Acoustasonic fender, anyway rarely do I plug it into an amp, but my battery seems to die every other day!! Am I dumb that I can’t figure it out?? Please help!! Thanks, Frustrated Female
Hi Zanna, thanks for your comment! If the battery is draining that fast, it’s a fault with the preamp in the guitar. It’s not as uncommon as you think, not that it makes it any less frustrating! If the guitar is still in warranty, contact the dealer you purchased it from and it can be returned/replaced/repaired. If it’s not in warranty, a decent guitar tech should be able to help. Good luck 🙂👍

can't get any simpler than this , great video, thanks
Your wide angle lens makes your beautiful Taylor look like a banana, haha!
but usually you’ll hear high pitch noice or distortion in amp. sound much sooner about 6 volts.

Thankyou so much for this!!! I have to perform tmrw and was freaking out thinking if the battery drops dead on stage!

is it the same for active electric guitar/bass as well?
What about battery in classical guitar with piezo pick up?
And well how many hours did it last!? Never did get that.
About 4 days.
Does the guitar still work when it gets down to 3 volts?

2 min a day for how long? i dint get how much did the battery lasted?
The guitar was plugged in 24hrs a day until I filmed each part of the video. So, a brand new battery in this guitar lasted close to 3-4 days.
